Company Expands 6G Leadership With 3GPP Executive Role and Cutting-Edge R&D SEOUL, March 14, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) continues to solidify its leadership in 6G communications, a transformative technology poised to shape the future of connectivity. Kim Lae-young, Senior Research Engineer at LG’s CTO Office, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Service and System Aspects (SA) plenary at the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), the global authority on mobile communications standards. The SA plenary plays a pivotal role in defining 5G and 6G system architectures, service scenarios, requirements and security mechanisms. It also drives the evolution of 5G-Advanced and the standardization of next-generation 6G technologies. This appointment underscores LG’s expertise in communications protocols and system architecture. The company has already demonstrated its leadership by serving consecutive terms as the chair company of the Applications Working Group in the Next G Alliance, a North American 6G technology initiative led by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions. In 2019, it established Korea’s first dedicated 6G academic research center, the LG-KAIST 6G Research Center. It's 13th March 2025 and the Hue Sync app is now available for the 2024 models, i.e. C4, G4 but not earlier ones. 6 months ago I purchased a C3 so I'm really annoyed I can't get this app. What is the best way to ask LG if they ae bringing it to older models? -

Hi, I have this problem too, it's very annoying. At least they would have left a choice Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet, maybe it's possible to roll back to an earlier sw version? -
Brand new LG OLED 65"G4 has color blotching (or banding), not sure what the official term is. Netflix & Prime especially on any picture setting, and the "vivid" setting on everything. I don't really use vivid anyway but should not be happening. Of course I tried all suggested online and tech supported fixes to no avail. I called LG and after many very frustrating routings to different agents, they refused to send a replacement because their policy says within "30 days of purchase." I pointed out that it was now day 28 and therefore is within your policy, the person stated that by the time they go through the process, it would be over the 30 day limit! I mean, talk about banging your head against a wall! How do you argue with such logic?? After a few more call routings, they connected me with a repair service. The man came out within days and replaced the board (I think that's what it's called) but no dice, the problem remained. He then ordered a new panel which I'm still waiting for. It would have been cheaper for LG to just send a new TV rather than replace a panel and pay a repair man for two house calls. Crazy! I've had 5 LG OLEDs without a problem. This is very upsetting. -
So adding Wifi7 to my home to take advantage of MLO I find that WPA3 only is a requirement. This is fine ..... but I was very surprised to find the *only* device I have that doesn't work with WPA3 only is my LG C4 TV. This is a brand new TV made in 2024 and WPA3 was launched in 2018. The fact this is not supported in 2024 is a joke. Please fix this! I have a dumb smart bedside light made a few years ago which has been upgraded to WPA3 and this is how stuff should be. If a beside light can do it, surely a TV can!
