Ridiculous "fireworks" showing on top off apps like Spotify

When are we finally getting the option to turn off the ridiculous "fireworks" screensaver? I didn't spend thousands on a new TV to watch this screen every 2 minutes, and especially not when I am playing Spotify songs and can't see what songs are up next or even follow lyrics!

It's one thing to build features to prevent build-in, but another if they make using the TV properly a problem. Give us the ability to choose for ourselves if we want this protection or not, and don't force our hands please.

Yes, I can't agree with you anymore. So I change my way to play Spotify music on my TV. Not using the Spotify app but

with the help of and then transfer them to USB flash drive and plugin it into the USB port of my TV. After that, I will select a built-in media player to play Spotify songs on TV without using the Spotify app anymore.

Sometimes, there will happen this problem. It is because that the unstable network connection or internal error of Spotify. But you can try to

and then directly play Spotify music by using the built-in media player instead of using Spotify. I guess that there will reduce the possibility of meeting this problem.

      Hi all,

      I'm Danny and have a problem with my LG OLED65C8;

      since a few months when playing movies, either from my Syno NAS or just plain USB, subtitles are being displayed double (over or above eachother) or are displayed for sometimes minutes after the sentence's been spoken. The videofiles haven't got any hardcoded subs but either subs included in the mkv container or as separate srt of ssa file. Disabling subs removes the display of subs, enabling subs results in double or persistent subs.

      Subtitles have been disabled in the accessability menu, factory reset did not help.

      I searched but as far as I can see this problem has not been discussed yet, also googled and never came across this problem. Perhaps someone here can help?

      Kind regards, Danny

      SOLUTION, for me at least:

      I used ColorControl to reboot the TV. It's weird that a factory reset did not work but a simple reboot did.

      Spinning tadpoles while I know I have a good internet connection as verified by Speedtest on my phone!
      do they want me to upgrade my TV or use an Amazon Firestick to do anything useful? planned obsolescence again! FFS I have 70’s video games that work, but a TV bought a few years ago has been made obsolete by auto upgrades that if i don’t accept I am reprimanded by support and told to accept?

      Hello there,
      Is it possible to turn off search on the home screen, or filter results to show only apps? Ideally, I'd like to limit content to be appropriate for kids.
