Yes please! There really is not a reason for this not to happen. Overall, there seems to be a lack of apps for this smart TV.

Lack of apps is problem, well it is only a problem if there is not an app you specifically want.  LG do not make the apps themselves and we, the end user, have no idea how much effort LG themselves make at getting content providers to produce apps for the platform.  So if you want a specific app really you need to pursue that with the content provider first, then if you cannot get any joy out of them contact LG and give them proof of your interaction and then see if they will get involved.

If you write code then producing an app for webOS does not seem particularly difficult, there is a well developed SDK, plenty of help, tutorials and code examples on the LG developer site and of course YouTube is there if needed.  There is of course a process to go through submitting the app to LG who if they approve it will make it available in the app catalogue.

I imagine that one of the biggest reasons that LG does not write the apps themselves is that content providers would have to allow access to various APIs and the like to be able to interact with their services, which some would be reluctant to do.

    • Popup messages: Wired Lan cable disconnected / Wired network is connected

I recently updated the firmware on my  LG43UH610V.  Now I constantly get "Wired Lan cable disconnected" / "Wired network is connected" messages even while watching a video file from my NAS. The TV is connected and using the network while getting these messages. It has always been on a fixed IP address on the LAN.

    • Question: How do you use the Favorites channel list for cable?

So I set up favorites for cable.  How do I USE them with the magic remote?  When I'm watching cable, and I click on the scroll wheel, there aren't any choices to "goto favorites" or anything like that.  How do I invoke the favorites that I created?

    • Question: How to setup OLED65b7a with xbox, cable box, video receiver?

I just got this OLED65b7a TV yesterday.  I have everything set up. My setup is shown in the attachment I have a couple of problems I can't resolve. 1. Sound comes from two sources simultaneously.    I turn on the xbox which turns on the receiver and the cable box and outputs signal back to receiver to the TV (hdmi ARC).    I turn on the TV and see and hear the TV through the xbox.  (or I choose a game or something else on the xbox and see and hear that on the TV)    I choose on the TV to show Live TV from the internet.    Now both sounds come out from both sources.  I think the sound system is doing one and the TV speakers are doing the Live TV.   2. I want to control the cable box with the remote.      When I want to configure the remote for the cable box, it wants the cable box to be plugged into the TV.  If I do that, the remote can control the cable box, but when I return the hdmi to the receiver, I don't think the remote still worked.  I think it said there was nothing connected or something.   3. Should I be changing my connections?     Should I be plugging the cable box and the xbox into the TV?  And then go from the TV to the receiver?  How will the remote work then?  Will I be able to turn the xbox on and off with the TV remote?  Will I have to disable the devices that the xbox is turning on and off through the Kinect IR blaster?   Thanks a lot for any direction in this.  So far I haven't found anything on the web that is set up like mine to model after.

    • Question: Powered TV on & a Static screen with sound (I only have intranet and no cable setup)

Just bought the LG smart tv 2017. When I power on the tv each time it comes up with the sound on and static looking screen until I press the home button to do a search for example Hulu.  How do I make it so when I turn on the tv the screen just shows a silent wallpaper picture? I went up the picture settings but there is no picture to choose from, it’s just the settings options. Where do I get a picture from to put it on the tv? I haven’t set up the Live Tv either because I don’t have cable or anything. Is this static looking screen part of that? If so, what is the live tv? (I understand with my Roku I could watch live tv off of that when I downloaded an app such as CNN live) Is it only for people that have a cable company and want to set it up that way? If so, how do I get rid of this? Thank you for your knowledge and help. V
