I am in the UK, i have a 50UN74006LB TV, i would like to connect 2 pairs of Bluetooth headphones, which i know you can't do "as standard".
I have tried the "One for all" Bluetooth transmitter, but it appears not to be compatible with LG devices.
Has anyone had success with such a device?
Like others, I had to buy a Roku to watch Spectrum TV on my brand new 65 inch Nano. I use the Roku remote most of the time now. Would love to just use the Magic remote and get the full benefit of my TV investment with the service I watch the most. Adding the NFL Sunday Ticket app would be nice as well!!!
I've just purchased a great looking new 50Nano796. It comes with a number of preinstalled apps such as iPlayer and YouTube. I am in the UK and would like to add the local catchup services which previously I had used on a roku 3. The TV is running WebOS 5.1.0-3203 (not 3.5) I noticed some discussions and YouTube postings which show these apps, but they do not appear in the LG store. Have they been withdrawn? Or am I screwing up somewhere?
It is possible that one of the "expert mode settings" is not correct for some media types being decoded. I did see mention of a bug in some sort of "lookup table" for this stuff, in another forum. Try temporarily turning off the "dynamic tone-mapping" in settings -> Picture -> Picture Mode Settings. Then see if the affected test videos are improved or not.
If no difference, try testing with other modes off or on as needed, BUT- DO REMEMBER your initial settings, so you can get it back to your normal settings for regulat TV viewing. Take a photo of your settings on your phone or camera before starting changing anything.
Another thing you could look for is "Enhanced Format". Some Sony and other TV's have these below, so if you can find your settings for these, use the SECOND option, NOT the first one, for Dolby Vision to work properly.
• Enhanced format = [email protected] 4:4:4 HDR10
• Enhanced format (Dolby Vision) = [email protected] 4:4:4 HDR Dolby Vision
NOTE: if you DO find that (e.g. dynamic tone-mapping) is the culprit, then report it to your country LG Support site, as this forum is ONLY a peer-to-peer enthusiasts forum, and is NOT OWNED OR RUN BY LG. If users do that, then there is more chance of a fix from LG.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply. I am in South Africa. My TV is one year old model 49UM7340PVA Web OS 4.7.1 and besides Geo locked so I cant use a VPN, the Youtube app has been my view of the world. Broadcast TV is is useless and pay- for- satellite TV is expensive running dated programs repeated ad nauseum.
I know it is a Users forum and LG take no notice of it. However, there are smart people out there who offer good advice. LG in SA are not any help or they cover up the issues to protect themselves. Had previous experience of this. The components are imported and assembled here and then say " made in SA". Indeed the operating software is for a geographical area which means I cant input a code from my VPN to bypass this restriction.
As we only see LG issues, I wonder if people using other makes with Android OS have as many issues?
