    • Check if your PC and LG TV are on the same Wi-Fi network
    • OK... Got this all sorted out.  The wired and wireless connections drop, after the TV is in standby mode, in about 2-3 minutes.  If you ping the TV interfaces, they just disappear from the network 2-3 minutes after power off/standby.  Thus for WOL you have to do a broadcast via x.x.x.255 and use the applicable MAC address.  This, at least on my LG TV, is consistently working.  If you try to use the IP address versus broadcast, this only works, until the interfaces drop of the network.
    • almost 2024 and still have the same issues! LG wont fix this problem... a shame. Expensive tv bought, but the lack of LG is making me never buy an LG anymore. Cant enjoy wifi on my C8. Everytime after watching some youtube or HBO it throws me off internet. Then i need to restart tv and relog wifi... i have 300mb glassfiber internet connection with my router 1 meter next to my tv....LG SHAME ON YOU! Fix this shit!
    • Asking this hear, since I could not seem to find a better place... Wake on LAN only works for a few minutes after TV is turned off?  If I turn of LG TV (WebOS 8.x) and then send a Wake on LAN (WoL) packet, it works.  If turn off the LG TV, then I wait about 15 minutes or so, then send the same WoL sequence, using the same code, script, etc., it fails, the LG TV never turns on.  THe LG TV is configured both for wired ethernet (preferred) and WiFi.  Any idea why this behavior?  It almost seems like the LG TV goes into standby, via phone app, remote, even CEC, etc., then drops from the network?  Mobile is enabled on the TV, hence the phone app works.  Why would the LG TV stop responding to WoL packets?
    • LG documentation for 'IP Control' commands?  I need to automate control of several LG TVs in our building, they are Ethernet connected, wired.  I am able to do the 'ping' of the TVs, i.e. http://<ip address>:3000, and get back 'Hello World' response.  But I can't seem to find any documentation on how to use http or even https for the LG TVs.  We control various other TVs via curl commands sending http (puts).  Notice that LG TV only seem to support as of Jan 2023, https per Google search.  But can't seem to confirm that.  Cannot use the phone app... we have to limit the interface and control access to specific commands, like on/off only, and now allow change of inputs, etc.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    • Brand new LG TV (WebOS 8x) WILL NOT stay off when turned off with the remote?  Out of the box, connected to internet, seems to have been updated, and working fine.  But when I hit the power off with the remote, the TV reports 'Life is Good' seems to turn off, i.e. go into standby, and then a few seconds later, turns back on.  If the device connected to the TV on the last active HDMI port is OFF, I get the No Signal warning.  So I know the active HDMI input is not generating any signal.  I want to believe that any other device on any other HDMI port might be an issue? But then the TV would switch to that HDMI port, no?  This is really an issue!  If I use the phone app I can turn off the TV and it seems to stay off, at least does not come back on in a few seconds like the remote?  If I send 'standby' via HDMI-CEC, that seems to work as well, the TV seems to stay in standby mode.  This a bug?
