    • Thanks LG. The panel has been replaced. Sony LIV app is now available.
    • I've just purchased a great looking new 50Nano796. It comes with a number of preinstalled apps such as iPlayer and YouTube. I am in the UK and would like to add the local catchup services which previously I had used on a roku 3. The TV is running WebOS 5.1.0-3203 (not 3.5)  I noticed some discussions and YouTube postings which show these apps, but they do not appear in the LG store. Have they been withdrawn? Or am I screwing up somewhere?
    • @Nishanth Noble  It is possible that one of the "expert mode settings" is not correct for some media types being decoded. I did see mention of a bug in some sort of "lookup table" for this stuff, in another forum. Try temporarily turning off the "dynamic tone-mapping" in settings -> Picture -> Picture Mode Settings. Then see if the affected test videos are improved or not. If no difference, try testing with other modes off or on as needed, BUT- DO REMEMBER your initial settings, so you can get it back to your normal settings for regulat TV viewing. Take a photo of your settings on your phone or camera before starting changing anything. Another thing you could look for is "Enhanced Format". Some Sony and other TV's have these below, so if you can find your settings for these, use the SECOND option, NOT the first one, for Dolby Vision to work properly. • Enhanced format = [email protected] 4:4:4 HDR10 • Enhanced format (Dolby Vision) = [email protected] 4:4:4 HDR Dolby Vision NOTE: if you DO find that (e.g. dynamic tone-mapping) is the culprit, then report it to your country LG Support site, as this forum is ONLY a peer-to-peer enthusiasts forum, and is NOT OWNED OR RUN BY LG. If users do that, then there is more chance of a fix from LG.
    • Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply.   I am in South Africa. My TV is one year old model 49UM7340PVA  Web OS 4.7.1 and besides Geo locked so I cant use a VPN, the Youtube app has been my view of the world. Broadcast TV is is useless and pay- for- satellite TV is  expensive running  dated programs repeated ad nauseum.  I know it is a Users forum and LG take no notice of it. However, there are smart people out there who offer good advice. LG in SA are not any help or they cover up the issues to protect themselves. Had previous experience of this. The components are imported and assembled here  and then say " made in SA". Indeed the operating software is for a geographical area which means  I cant input a code from my VPN to bypass this restriction. As we only see LG issues, I wonder if people using other makes with Android OS have as many issues?
    • @Michelle van Asperen Please post your LG TV type, and WebOS and firmware level. It might be that the YouTube app update is not compatible with all LG models and WebOS versions, and LG might need to tweak it for your TV. Have you reported this to your LG support site in your country (this is only a peer-to-peer enthusiasts forum, and is NOT owned or run by LG)?

    • The Youtube app has been working fine until Friday 27th November.  Switched on as I do every day to see news, and have video but no sound. Did the usual switch off, unplug etc but still no sound Other apps work fine.  I noticed there was an update to this app dated 22/11/2020 but my issue only started later. Have automatic updates "on".  Is this a buggy update?
    • Hi @Binod Kumar If you want MX Player for webOS you will need to get the maker (not LG they do not write the apps for the platform) to produce it.  Sorry I obviously did not make this clear enough in my previous post.
