  1. Hi @CpRivers As @AshClink has suggested Plex is a good solution for media streaming, I would also recommend the app for webOS as it does a better job (IMO) than DLNA. Best option is to run Plex Server from a Linux server base, if you are not heavily in to IT there are some simple solutions that can be run from a Raspberry Pi.
  2. Hi @Scott Hamm You would need to submit them directly to LG, see this thread: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/2550-lg-has-a-feedback-and-suggestions-form/
  3. If you are having problems with subtitles while viewing with Plex then you would be better off on their forum as the apps (server & client) do all the work (encoding/decoding etc) not webOS itself.
  4. Hi @bassel75 The error message you are receiving is because the website does not recognize the webOS browser. While based on WebKit as is Chrome browser it is not the same as Google's offering. There is no way around this problem on the TV itself, the only way to fix it is to contact the owners of the website and make them aware that there are more browsers out there than Chrome and ask them to make their sites compatible.
  5. It does not make sense, at least to me, that the delay would be an LG issue, it is not as if the video stream data/service is held by them. I am guessing that the reason is that the video data is not recorded in a format compatible with the webOS platform, and needs converting before distribution.
  6. Hi @bobbywins22 Could you confirm the model number of your TV please, I cannot seem to find any reference to it on the web.
  7. Hi @Veda Mani Please note that this is a User-to-User forum, there are no LG representatives/engineers here. LG like every other platform provider (ie Google/Android) do no create all the apps for their platform, if there is an app you want for the webOS then you are better off approaching the content providers in question.
  8. If you are asking can you install an Android/Google APK on a webOS TV then the answer is no. Both Android & webOS are underpinned by *nix but are not compatible/interchangeable.
  9. https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-55UM7300PUA-4k-uhd-tv Could you post a link to where it shows to come to this website for support please? Full specifications of your TV appears to be on LG's website: https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-55UM7300PUA-4k-uhd-tv The reason I would imagine that LG does not list which headphones are compatible with their TV sets is because there are thousands of different units available and new models are constantly being released. Plus, as Bluetooth is an open standard as long as a device is made to a compliant standard they should by definition just work. Looking around the web it appears that the Sound Sync system is designed to work with other LG products (albeit over Bluetooth) all other non-LG Bluetooth devices would use Bluetooth just not Sound Sync protocol. I checked a new TV model from Samsung and the user manual does not list any compatible Bluetooth devices either, again I imagine for the same reasons I have mentioned above.
  10. Not sure what is shameful about the customer experience if you did not bother to check the TV had Bluetooth at time of purchase.
  11. Confirm with Airtel that they produce an app for the webOS platform, Android apps will not work on this platform as it is not the same version of *nix.
  12. I imagine that older models may not be physically capable of running a higher version of webOS, different memory and processor requirements. Plus, and to be a little cynical, there is no money in it for LG against the time/money it would take to undertake such a scheme. They, like all appliance manufacturers, would like you to purchase the latest and best they have.
  13. Unfortunately it is not LG who are responsible for writing the app it is Disney themselves.
  14. I am guessing but it is probably because the software developers have decided to drop support for webOS 2.0, but you would be best checking with them directly to find out.
  15. Hi Russ, Unfortunately your TV does not have Bluetooth: https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-65UB9500-led-tv
  16. Hi, As LG do not produce apps for the webOS platform it would be better to approach CBS and ask them if/when they will be providing support for LG users.
  17. I am pretty sure the answer is going to be no, you will not be able to get Disney+ on webOS 2. Disney are having a hard enough time programming for webOS 3> and like other content providers (eg Hotstar) will probably choose not to support earlier platforms.
  18. Can I suggest you make your concerns about the lack to these two apps to the relevant content provider as LG do not produce the apps.
  19. You would have to check out the support page for your TV, take a look here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-55UF6450.AUS There is a software update dated 06/14/2019 which is software version 03.15.86 (which is different to the webOS version), whether it updates to webOS 3 is unlikely. But, if is a newer software version than you are currently running it is work checking out. You will need to confirm that you have the correct region and matching model number before you proceed.
  20. Hi @Kaye Gordon This is a common issue I am afraid with the YouTube app and there does not look to be a specific fix or definitive cause, take a look at a couple of things below: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/3239-this-app-will-now-restart-to-free-up-more-memory/#comment-9051 https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=This app will now restart to free up more memory
  21. Some details please on which TV you have, firmware version etc and whether it has had any updates recently please.
  22. Hi, You might find more help here: https://developer.lge.com/main/Intro.dev
  23. Hi Ankit, Hopefully other forum members will follow your example and nudge Sony along.
  24. Hi Ankit, Yes I would, but I'm not a programmer and I do not work for either Sony or LG. You may have missed that this is a user-to-user forum so not many people here have a vested interest in actually producing apps. Producing apps for a platform is easier done by the content providers themselves, in this case Sony, as they will have the knowledge of how their own backend services are set up to allow an external app to access them. Really you need to complain to Sony Liv about the lack of an app.
