  1. Hi everyone! I want to introduce myself by my first post here. Some time ago I bought LG 49UF7787 a nice 4k Smart TV from LG . I'm quite enjoyed by the speed of UI and capabilities of the device but there are some lacks which I thought will be fixed after some time with coming updates. Now after two system updates and 3 months of usage (a model from 2016) there are still things to work on it. 1. Sometimes Magic pilot don't respond. Mostly when I'm not doing anything for some time (pilot is in power save I suppose asleep mode) and when I want e.g. change tv channel or turn the volume up it do not respond or it react with a 2-3 seconds lag. It occurs maybe by 10% of operations when it is power saving. 2. When I want to check program informations and I'm pushing INFO button there is 4 lines of text but 2 lines are the movie description and other two are the copy of previous ones.... (picture below) 3. There is no info about CAST and YEAR in the INFO description (for me the wasted 2 lines of copied movie description should be for that specs) 4. Using a LIST button generates a menu with programmes list - it is very nice but is is loading only those descriptions which you are looking at at the moment, when you scroll your list down it starts to load another piece of programmes - I think it should be done in background with some time intervals. 5. I have a cable TV from my ISP and I personalized my program list only to that ones are my favourites. The manager works fine and I just saved my new program list but after I suppose my ISP is changing its own program offer I'm getting the new stations which are empty because my tv plan do not support them. E.g. I have only programmes from 1 to 50 but sometimes I get a new channels 383 and 537 or other (numbers are random but always exceed my own list and are empty) Any recomendation what should I do to get rid of this disadvantages? Do you have the same with yours WebOS 2.0?
  2. Hocus Pocus, with one wave of the "Magic Remote" LG Superholed me just one week before the Superbowl. My LG TV would not work due to the "Magic Remote" failing to register. I did a 'hard reset' at the tech's request which was to press home and back for 5 seconds, followed by the OK button 5 or 10 times. Unplug and unbattery everything, fresh batts, nothing worked. There is NO workaround for this issue, and after resetting to factory presets and all updates, I am now stuck with a TV that does not work. In a chat with tech support at LG, I was informed that ALL LG tvs now depend on pairing with the remote to work. He stated this includes the coming Signature W Series OLED77W7P, OLED65G6P , OLED65E6P , OLED55E6P C6 OLED OLED65C6P , OLED55C6P OLED65C6P , OLED55C6P B6 OLED OLED65B6P , OLED55B6P OLED65B6P , OLED55B6P. Failure can be caused by Bluetooth failing within the TV, the remote failing to work, or possibly a software update issue. For instance. In any case, your TV could become worthless ANY time due to the "magic remote" working. Good luck finding a used one as authorized LG retailers have already stopped selling replacement remotes for a TV manufactured less than 2 years ago. My question: How have other consumers been able to recover their losses from LG?
  3. There's a serious problem in my LG Refrigerator, I purchased this in April 2014 and now in Dec 2016 the light inside the Fridge is not working. This light doesn't turns on when the fridge door is opened. Also I lost my bill and other documents. Any help and suggestion are warmly welcomed. tubemate Also I called local mechanic but he said that need to call LG technician. Suggest me how to deal with this. Thanks

  9. Hi there, Recently I am having problems playing movies ( 3D and normal bluray) from a 32GB usb drive... The movie plays but randomly stops at certain points eg 20min in ect Some movies with play 100% and other will stop.. I switched of the Tru Motion on the TV cuz it looks funny when I'm watching TV, can this be the issue??? Can it be because of the firmware update?? Any solutions??? Thanks!!!
  10. Hi LG, your Web OS is really well built, but there are a few essential features lacking. Such as: - Folder filtering in the SmartShare App (We all need this ASAP, the navigation is a nightmare!). - Audio stream selection within video files in the SmartShare App. - A PLEX App the collaborates nicely with the PLEX Client. - Faster start up times. From when you power on the TV to being able to quickly access the home menu and change the Volume, channel, etc. If you have to just offer an option to put the TV into a low power state/sleep (for as long as the user wishes) so you can resume quick menu navigation almost straight away. (and unlike Sony don't make it so after a few hours of the TV being asleep it fully powers down. (THIS IS NOT USEFULL, and is the reason I took my Sony TV back to JB HI-FI And bought yours). You could call this feature "PowerAct", or "instant on" it would make 'Life Good' and easier - Auto backlight brightness? I have the Australian LB 6500 and I can't seem to find a Auto-Backlight/dimming feature anywhere, and seeing as I use it in my room, when the lights are off I want it to dim so I don't go blind. I don't know if you've implemented a Ambient light sensor or not, but for $1,800 I would think you should have. - If you would Like anymore Feedback/Suggestions, Feature requests or ideas from me then just PM me or write on this thread Thank you LG, and thank you for being one of the very few 'Innovative' companies around today.
  11. Expect a lot of appliance and TV announcements from LG this week. The South Korean electronics maker unveiled a slew of new televisions at last year's CES, including 12 new ultra-HD screens, and will likely follow suit this year during its press conference at 8 a.m. PT on Monday. It should also show off some of its developments with refrigerators, washing machines and ranges. LG will unveil its upcoming slate of TVs, home theater products, appliances, and other gadgets as it kicks off Press Day at CES 2015. cnet's live blog will be here: http://live.cnet.com/Event/LG_press_conference_at_CES_2015
  12. CES is a 2 weeks away, what will LG showcase? http://www.cesweb.org/ We already know that webOS 2.0 is coming to LG smart TVs, but now we are hearing that they may have an 8K TV and possibly some new wearables. Are these wearables going to include a webOS smartwatch? We'll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, Engadget has an interesting article about where LG has been and where they think they are going at CES: With webOS and wearables, LG's moving beyond just displays at CES "Whereas a continued push into Google's Android Wear is a certainty for LG, its plans to pursue an alternative wearables platform with webOS are not as clear. A few months back, images from a developer page for LG's webOS-based wearables surfaced and were then quickly pulled. But if the company is looking to create its own operating system for wearables, there's a good chance we may hear more about it in the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center."
  13. LG to Unveil Quantum Dot-Powered Ultra HD TV at CES 2015 LG Electronics announced today that it will show a 4K Ultra HD LCD TV at CES 2015 powered by quantum dot technology. Quantum dots replace the traditional RGB filter layer in an LED/LCD TV allowing these TVs to be brighter, with a wider color gamut for richer, more vivid colors. Quantum dots used in the LG TV vary in shape and size from about 2 nanometers to 10 nanometers in diameter. Depending on the size and shape of the dot, each one acts as a different color filter. These dots are arranged in a precise array to filter a pure blue LED light source in order to reproduce a wide spectrum of colors. LCD TVs powered by quantum dot technology will be part of LG's Ultra HD TV lineup for 2015. The quantum dot TV's will use LG's IPS (In Plane Switching) panel for improved off-axis viewing compared to traditional LCD panels. These new TVs will also include an improved Smart TV Interface powered by WebOS, which the company acquired from HP in 2013. Source: http://www.bigpicturebigsound.com/quantum-dots-a-tv-makes.shtml
