Hi @Sid
Sony are apparently working on an app as @Nitin1438 detailed in this thread: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/3797-sony-liv-app/
If you are on Twitter you can pester Sony here: https://twitter.com/SonyLIV/status/1277600344382603264
As for MX Player you would need to contact them via the following page to ask them is they are in the process of producing an app: https://www.mxplayer.in/about
If you get a response from either party feel free to post it here.

Hi @Halli
Where did you find the information regarding UK providers?

Hello @George Hofmeister
Please advise how to upgrade WebOS to 3.5. Current WebOS version is 3.3.4-3718 (dreadlocks-dharug)
Hi @Animesh
Unfortunately, you can upgrade only if LG have released webOS 3.5 for your specific model of television, the installations are not generic due to the differences between models/years/etc.

I've just established that LG don't have agreements with the UK providers to use their catchup apps in their 2020 range of TVs. This must be a major negative when considering an LGTV at the moment.
Let's hope that "the powers that be" give this the urgency it deserves.
Hi @Halli
Are you based in the UK?

Hello,
I am using LG 55UH850T, however I am unable to find Hotstar in the Store. I have the most updated software as well. Checking for updates doesn't yield any new updates.
Please help.
Regards
Animesh
Hi @Animesh
I think that HOTSTAR are only supporting webOS 3.5 and onwards, and your TV is listed as being webOS 3.0. To confirm whether your TV is supported you would need to check with HOTSTAR's customer support.

I have an 55UH615A-UC TV running OS 05.30.90. I have googled, and there are no options in any of the menus, or app lists for Channel Plus. There are no software updates available. Does anyone know how I can install this?
Hi @Bill French
It could possibly be under XUMO the producer of Channel Plus: https://corp.xumo.com/lg-channel-plus/

I am in the process of moving my WiFi to a 4G carrier. I was testing the 4G modem and needed to move back to the Broadband modem for a day - I found that the BB password was not kept on the LGWEBOS TV. Similarly when I moved back to the $G modem I had to re-enter that. This TV is the only device that I have which does not remember passwords
Is there a way of placing a support ticket for a change to the OS
Hi @Allan B
You would have to go to the LG Customer Support on the website relevant to the country you are in to raise a ticket, this is purely a User-to-User forum.

The forum members would need to know the model of your television to be able to tell you its resolution.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, or feel free to search the forum for the answer, but I believe that HOTSTAR are only supporting webOS 3.5 and newer with their app. At a pinch you can use their website through the browser as HOTSTAR did go to the trouble of upgrading it to support webOS.

I have "32LH576D" LG Smart TV with the software version 05.00.07. I am not able to see Hotstar, PrimeVideo, ZEE5 etc entertainment apps on the LG content store in the tv. The software update says the most current software is installed. Can someone help me to figure out what is wrong? Is it possible those apps are not available for my tv?
App availability is dependent more on the webOS version, which is a different thing to the software version installed.
Also, apps may not necessarily have been produced for your model of TV or may just not be produced for the platform.

Hi @Mythchef
The simple answer is that HBO/Peacock have not either produced apps for the platform and/or come to a financial agreement with LG to have the apps on the platform.

Please give the forum members a clue of the model of TV, which apps you are looking for, and whether you actually need to know how to install them.

Is webOS different than UI OS?
Hi @floraa12
UI OS is an Android OS, while webOS is it own entirely separate and unique Unix-like OS. It is unlikely that the TCL's Palm devices will be running webOS unless they are going to take the open source version and run with it, but instead will be Android powered.

ConnectSDK is still down
I started new with developing for webOS and wanted something to receive strings from Android to webOS 3.5.
Maybe someone here can help me, to get started with connectsdk or something else.
Hi @myalcin
I am guessing that ConnectSDK has been superseded by the LG Developer: https://developer.lge.com/main/Intro.dev

We are paying $14.99 through YouTubeTV for HOB Max....but...we are not getting the full HBO Max....something like HBO Now.
Why is LG letting YoutubeTV place an HBO Max icon on its site, letting subscribers pay full freight, and not get the full HBO Max????
Not fair or right!
As soon as an alternative arrives we will go to it.
Please explain!

I buy the premium subscription to sonyliv so please bring it to this platform so that we can get the full content in HD mode asap. Make it first.
You would be best doing what @Junaid Ahmed has done and contact Sony via their Twitter feed to show that as a user you pay a premium subscription and you are not getting your money's worth. Also, by more users contacting Sony direct it may encourage them to speed up the process of bringing a native app to LG's webOS.

Hi, I have an LG WebOS Smart TV that after the last firmware update the Wi-Fi Connection stop working properly. When I try to connect to my network, it will instantly disconnect or it will freeze my TV.
Model: LG 55UF6450-UA (bought it on November 2015)
Firmware: 03.16.00
Also, I don't know if it is relevant but my TV is a US version that now I have it with me in Costa Rica, Central America.
I've tried everything posted on the internet and forums:
- Connecting to my cellphones hotspot (worked for about 5 min the first time I try it and then stop working and would work again when I tried to reconnect).
- Change the DNS to google's DNS. (Once I was able to do it but didn't fix the issue, and also first I need to be able to connect to a network for the TV to enable the option for changing manually to static ip's).
- Doing factory reset won't fix it.
- Changing the Country/Region/Time zone won't fix it.
- Changing to manual time won't fix it.
- Can't do the downgrade procedure posted on this forum for two reasons: because you need to be able to connect to the wifi or via ethernet and it isn't working, and also I can't find an older versión of my firmware.
I am pretty sure that I need to downgrade or even just do a fresh installation of the actual the firmware, but I can't find the right way to do it. Maybe with an LG service remote? but again, I need to first get on my hands a working firmware version for my TV right?
Any recommendations?
Hi @cali086
In other threads on the forum people have reported similar issues and have found it was due to faulty wireless models, in their case it was easy enough to find replacements on the likes of eBay. See if you can find the relevant threads and you may find if the same applies to yourself.

Hi,
Recently my LG 55" starts with a grey screen with black shades of vertical lines moving horizontally across the screen. the sounds comes on after 3 to 5 seconds, then the picture a few seconds after that.
This happens every time i turn it on
I have reset the TV with no luck
LM76 series model 55LM7600-TA
Hi @ChrisN
Sounds like a hardware fault. Given the age of the unit, it appears that it is running NetCast the predecessor to webOS you might want to start looking for a repairer to look at it. By the amount of main boards for sale it looks like that would be an area to investigate.

Hi @Rohit SpyD
I believe that HOTSTAR have only made their app compatible with LG TVs running webOS 3.5 and above.
