    • What troubleshooting steps have you taken if your Sky News app stopped working after a webOS update on your C2?
    • To enable Alexa to turn on your LG TV even when it's off, you can follow these steps: Check Compatibility: Ensure that your LG TV model supports the "Power on via Wi-Fi" feature. This feature allows the TV to receive commands from Alexa even when it's in standby mode. Update Firmware: Make sure your LG TV's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include new features or bug fixes that might improve compatibility with Alexa. Enable Wake-on-LAN (WoL): Wake-on-LAN allows devices to be woken up from standby mode using a network message. Check your LG TV's settings menu for an option to enable WoL. This might be labeled as "Network Wakeup" or something similar. Configure Router Settings: Ensure that your router settings allow for WoL packets to be sent to your TV. This might involve enabling a setting like "Wake-on-LAN" or "Magic Packet" in your router's configuration interface. Enable Remote Access: Some LG TVs require you to enable remote access for them to respond to commands when they're off. Check your TV's settings for an option like "Mobile TV On" or "Remote Access" and make sure it's turned on. Set up Device Discovery: Make sure your LG TV is properly set up within the Alexa app. Go to the Alexa app, navigate to Devices, and select your TV. Ensure that it's discovered and linked properly. Power Saving Settings: Check your LG TV's power-saving settings. Sometimes, overly aggressive power-saving settings can prevent the TV from responding to network commands when it's off. Adjust these settings if necessary. Reboot Devices: Sometimes, a simple reboot of your router, TV, and Alexa device can resolve connectivity issues. Try unplugging them for a few minutes, then plugging them back in and testing again. By following these steps, you should be able to configure your LG TV to respond to Alexa commands even when it's off. If you're still experiencing issues, you may need to consult the user manual for your specific TV model or reach out to LG or Amazon customer support for further assistance.

    • New LG NOVA Digital Health Venture Aims to Enable Providers to Offer Patients Personalized Home Care   SEOUL, May 14, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled “Primefocus Health,” a new venture that aims to leverage innovative technologies and new healthcare therapies to enable providers to deliver a personalized, complete care experience and empower individuals to take control of their health at home. link hidden, please login to view is the first new venture launched by LG NOVA, LG Electronics North America Innovation Center. This new provider-focused, patient-centric healthcare platform intends to give patients access to new healthcare therapies made available by innovative technology applications, as well as providers access to patient data and progress information to help ensure that their patients are on the right path to better health. Healthcare providers are under pressure to improve patient care and reduce readmissions and patient and provider costs. However, according to the National Institutes of Health, more than USD 52.4 billion is spent annually to care for patients who were readmitted to the hospital within 30 days for a previously treated condition. To help reduce these costs and enable better personalized care, Primefocus Health plans to develop a remote monitoring and healthcare delivery platform, using innovative non-invasive technology for tracking patient progress for multiple medical conditions, which can be integrated with the provider’s electronic health record system, artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for ease of use. The platform aims to empower healthcare providers to effectively manage outcomes, assist, guide, communicate and intervene when needed to deliver quality care. “LG Electronics has a longstanding, trusted reputation with consumers in homes worldwide, and in unveiling Primefocus Health we are seeking to build on that history as we ask consumers to trust us, in collaboration with their providers, with their healthcare management as well,” said Darren Sabo, CEO of Primefocus Health. “Primefocus Health is committed to leveraging the latest technology to revolutionize patient care at home, leading toward a future of personalized, accessible, and effective care.” As an LG NOVA-backed company, Primefocus Health brings the high-quality, innovative experience of the LG brand to healthcare. For providers, the Primefocus Health platform will be designed to enable them to extend their care beyond the hospital to the home with the objective of reducing the strain on the provider to keep their patients healthy. “LG NOVA is dedicated to building businesses that drive positive change and enhance people’s lives,” said Sokwoo Rhee, executive vice president of innovation at LG Electronics and head of LG NOVA. “We recognize that technology can play a key role in the transformation of patient care and the healthcare industry at large, and we are committed to leading that charge with Primefocus Health. We look forward to seeing its impact on transforming home healthcare for patients and providers alike.” # # #
    • The specs for the magic remote promise "Voice Recognition with Intuitive Mouse Like Pointing and Wheel Control". I think that would be nice. The current implementation of scrolling via the wheel on the magic remote is not intuitive. Why would I move my thumb up to pull the text shown on the screen down to the bottom? Question is, can we please get natural scrolling for WebOS 5.5.0 and newer? Some option in the settings would be fine. The current "unnatural" scrolling is a major obstacle in usability for me, and the main reason to not buy LG again.
    • Thank you for the suggestion, I will give it a try when I get home. I think there is only a firestick connected, I will also try in a different HDMI socket.
    • Thanks for your help but I don’t have an external box I am going to try using a 3.5mm jack plug to see if that works. Have tried an external transmitter using optical cable but HDMI constantly overrules it.
    • This may not solve your problem depending on your TV source.  I connect an Aptx low latency Bluetooth transmitter (to avoid lag) to the audio out ports of my cable box and use appropriate Bluetooth earbuds.  The volume of the earbuds is independent of the TV speakers this way.
