I spotted this useful article for those who feel they need to tweak (optimise) the picture settings, but are not sure what do do:

Obviously any experts on here should chime in with their findings or advice, especially if geared up to LG TV models.

On my 2017 LG uj6500, the out of the box experience is poor, the default settings are poor,

and the color accuracy  / grey scale adjustments are poor.  This seems to be a common experience

on the lower end TV's

@davexnet I could not comment on the UJ6500 models as I don't own one. I suspect that Default Settings are going to be set for "average" or "common"  set-ups or requirements, and every room will be different, as will every users "preferences" for what they feel is their best "perception" of good colours, contrast, and correct brightness.  All that will be very "subjective" for most owners, unless they have calibration equipment, or pay for a calibration service.  Having said that, many non-technical users will rarely venture into settings that they have no clue about, BUT here below is a (possibly) useful guide by LG that might prove beneficial to those who need to improve their picture, but are not sure what to tweak, or what "numbers" are good or bad.

There are good hints in the text there, and good explanations. The table of what the 3 "modes" (Vivid,  Standard, Cinema) settings use as a starting point, is a useful guide/tool.

Add the option to turn off mouse acceleration. I think I would fins it much easier to aim the pointer if I could disable it. I always disable it on computers. You can just add it next to the pointer speed setting under General > System > Additional Settings > Pointer Options

Two other settings I think would make sense to have would be a setting to disable the shake-remote-to-show-pointer feature. Although I like it I can sometimes find it annoying, so why not let the users decide. I always hate it when there aren't settings for things like these.
The other setting would be to disable the pointer completely as many users have written that they want to disable it.

I've had Universal Control via the smart remote sucessfully controlling the audio (volume) for my LG OLED 48C1LB tv via my Sherwood RD-6118R amp for a while now; But following a power cut, the remote no longer controls the amp/tv volume?
The audio IS still being played through the amp using the optical OUT/IN but I have no control of the volume
I've removed and re-initialised the settings for this amp in Universal Control Settings but following the "success" message, the remote does not control the volume on the amp/tv.
      What am I missing?

In "CMP settings": there is a huge list of vendors, IAB and Google.
You can deselect consent for those.
However when you go back, in the Google consent are all still enabled.
Reject All doesn;t work. Deselecting individually and clicking "Confirm my choices" doesn't work. The Google ones are back on.
      That's really bad, GDPR.

The sound and picture are out of sync when screen mirroring from my iPhone 16 Pro to my LGQNED70A6A TV, using the internal speaker. I have tried all the recommended tips in the settings to cure the issue with no success. However, when I isolate the TV from the mains supply for 60 seconds and restart it, the syncing issue is cured but degrades after a day or so. My iPhone software is up to date and there is no firmware upgrade available for the TV. My LinkSys router has a full fibre connection. The only connection into the TV is the mains supply. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When in an app, hitting home on the remote doesn't do anything. I was looking to see if there's a webOS update available, and now I see trying to open settings locks it all up. The only way to get out of an app right now or get it out of the state where trying settings locks it up is to power off and back on again.
      Things I've tried:
      1. Restart. I've tried various ways including unplugging and holding the power button on the TV for a while. I left it unplugged all night.
      2. Repair of the remote.
I don't know what else to try as I can't even get into settings to see if there's an update to fix this mess. Any thoughts?
