    • Question: gigabit ethernet on smart TV

Hello, Is there any way of installing an usb gigabit network adapter on a webos smart TV?  The builtin wired adapter is only 100mbps (on a 2000$+ TV, shame  on you LG!!!)  while the wifi (N) is very poor, with the router at 1m from TV it only gets half the bandwidth of the wired network. Anyway the wired network  maxes out near 100mbps but I need more bandwidth as I have 4k video content with bitrates grater than 100mbps which I cannot stream without stuttering to TV through XPLAY/PLEX.

Hello, i'm new on this forum and I buyed an LG 55C8 Tv. I'm italian and I have problems to set the DVB-S signal. The tv report a series of satellite and has setted as free satellite only TVSat that is the free provider of my zone including rai and mediaset. I have not a tvsat smartcam and my system is setted on free wifi on hotbird 6, 7a or 8. TVSat is on Hotbird 13, so the signal is not received. I tried to set the satellite custom settings from myself but I have no luck. I post

    • Question: Channel Plus Problem

Our apartment building recently changed from Comcast to RCN internet. Ever since then the Channel Plus content will not play on my LG smart tv. The ads/commercials play but then when it tries to connect to the actual channel content, it says something like "not able to connect to Channel Plus at the moment." I am definitely connected to the internet because other things work. Also tried a direct ethernet connection with the same results.  Anyone else experience this?  Wondering of there is some

    • Question: Netflix app Dolby Vision/HDR

Hey there, Does anyone know if it is possible to swap between watching something in Dolby Vision or HDR?  The issue is when content is available in either option (depending on hardware watching on) the TV will always default to Dolby Vision but I would like the option to watch in HDR because sometimes it is too yellow and the picture setting options are limited in Dolby Vision.   Thanks

The C9 has the IoT on the menu and I see that it supports ThinQ, OCF products. However, I can't figure out how to add smart lights to the dashboard. I'm using Phillips Hue and LIFX, are they OCF devices?

      Hi Team,

Why can't you include 3D software in the firmware to allow us to watch 3d movies?
It is simple module you can allow for LG users.

When we feature a new root method it’s typically for a smartphone. If it’s not a smartphone then it could be a tablet, smartwatch, or an Android TV set-top box. However, more and more devices are starting to become “smart,” which essentially means they have some sort of extra software feature that previously wasn’t possible. This could be a light bulb that can be controlled by our smartphone or a TV that has applications you can install.
