Hello all, can you give more details about this fw version 4.99.99?

 

In my country the latest available version for my TV (LB731V) is 3.23.24.

 

Is this an "unofficial" release?

I clicked General>About>check for update

the popup said NSU available v4.99.99.

I haven't noticed anything different.

There aren't any unofficial builds that I am aware of.

after updating I find that everything is much slower, ie. switching between different sources. Especially with youtube, I can barely scroll through the categories and type in a word in the search string. anyone else?

May be 4.99.99 is Joke Version??

If version 4.99.99 is a joke, it's preventing me from updating. :/

I tried to install the spotify app. it says "Software Update is Required to use this App, Do you want to update", I click Yes, and it says "unable to update software "

What is the current version you guys have?

stoney05, you should really call LG service, so they change your motherboard, because you are never going to be able to update again, I don't we will ever hit 4.00.00.. we have 3.xx.xx now..

Yes, you're right about that. As an opportunity remains, call the maintenance of LG.
Enforced return of the old firmware, needs to know the risks of brick device or void the warranty.

Version 4.30.09 here in Spain. WebOs 1.3.0-3209(afro-arches) model 42LB731V-ZE

OTA update pushed after 2-3 hrs of use last week, previous software unknown.

Very slow menus, loading different device conections and 1 out of memory error on the first day. Hope the next version is a vast improvement. ;).

In general I like the picture and general quality of the TV.

Edit. updated to version 04.30.16 webos 1.3.0-3216 on 1/10/2014

Does anyone know if the PIP feature is going to be in the release for the 2014 models that are updated?

The older models(non-webos) got it why not the webos models?

No bluetooth or skype app. Bluetooth would be useful when online to use a keyboard. The soundbars have it apparently. Skype is an obvious app as would be a camera.

A white line appears top to bottom of screen in from the left hand side & the tv either fails to turn on, or shuts itself down shortly after. Can i use uk firmware to get update, i dont have special apps for country or language isnt a problem i can use with uk english (i install newer webos version with usb but lg support only have uk version)(i dont know what is ZA im form turkey)

      all channels and transponders are getting deleated by simply exporting and importing the channellist (LG OLED G2 newest firmware)

      Hello,
      I have a problem with my new LG OLED G2 newest version 4 firmware.
      I tried sorting my satellite channels with chansort programm from github, because sorting them with the tv remote is a pain.
      When I try to sort them with the remote and have selected about 10 or more channels all the selected channels get suddenly getting deselected, so I can only select up to 10 at a time  to 
      sort them -> must be some kind of firmwarebug? 
      After exporting the channellist to a usb stick then editing it with chansort an importing it back into the tv all my channels are gone, all transponderns are deleted.
      First I thought it was a charsort problem but all channels and transponders get also deleted when I simply export them to a usb drive an import them back, without editing the file at all.
      Does someone know how to fix this problem? 
      And yes I´ve done multiple factory resets -> did not fix any of this behaviour.
      I also discoverd another bug the deletes all channels, because I needed to reboot the tv I searched for a reboot option in the tvs menu, but there is no reboot option.
      To do a full reboot (except from forcing it through cutting the tvs power) you can deselect the privicy agreements, after that the tv reboots, but then all channels are gone too.
