  3. Nope you're not missing a thing, Smart TVs have not reached the level of functionality of PCs or Smartphones and tablets.
  4. While webOS is based on Unix, like Linux and MacOS, currently VLC have not ported their software to LG's SMART TV platform. So whatever you are downloading will not work on the webOS system.
  5. What exactly are you trying to download?
  6. Hi Rubindude, When it comes to having the app on your phone it has to be seen that it is running a completely different operating system, but yes it does not seem to make sense that you cannot get the app in the US. Possibly if it is a brand new model the app has not been approved/tested on that particular OS version release.
  7. The availability of the HBO Go app depends on your geographical location and (possibly) TV model. https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=HBO
  8. Adobe dropped Flash support for mobile and Smart TV platforms back in 2011, so you are not going to be able to enable it. Please see the many, many, many other threads on the matter: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=flash
  9. If you are visiting a website and getting this message it is because the site does not recognise the webOS browser and is miss-reporting it as being an out of date version of Chrome. Sadly the only thing you can do is inform the owners of the site that it does not work with webOS and hope that they fix the issue.
  10. Hi Lijo, You are unlikely to get a response from LG here on the forum as this is a user-to-user site, you would be better to try contacting them directly through their own website.
  11. With regards to users wanting a Hotstar app as opposed to viewing in the webOS browser this is because in the past the website would not load due to Adobe Flash/JavaScript issues. If the site is now working it is most likely Hotstar have addressed these issues.
  12. Guy, Probably the best place to go would be here: http://webostv.developer.lge.com
  13. Le site (vous ne mentionnez pas lequel) devrait être accessible, mais aurait-il des publicités.
  14. Actuellement, il n'y a pas de disposition pour ajouter un adblocker.
  15. Hotstar (not LG) have been promising an app for sometime now, it was due to be released in April of this year but now it seems it may be out by the end of the year.
  17. Hi Daniel, In unlikely your TV is going to get an upgrade to webOS 4, I have a unit of a similar age and I am not holding out any hope of an upgrade. There is a firmware upgrade from July of this year available: https://www.lg.com/uk/support/support-product/lg-43UH668V Whether or not you already have this I am unsure as the webOS version number differs from the software version number.
  18. Currently there is no way to do this that I am aware of. It is a subject well covered on the forum though so someone else may have an idea.
  19. Hi, Please remember that this is a user-to-user forum, LG has no official status here. There is the link to LG's official feedback form if you wish to make use of it: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/2550-lg-has-a-feedback-and-suggestions-form/
  20. Very odd, could you post both the models of your TVs and which one does and does not have the LG Content? Hopefully someone can then shed some light on the issue.
  21. Hi, The webOS browser does support HTML5, much has been written on the subject: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=html5 Simply; Netflix's site is not designed to work with the webOS browser. Different browsers have differing levels of support for HTML5, JavaScript etc, as all browser are not created equal content providers need to code accordingly.
  22. Hi, Do you have the 2.4GHz & 5GHz band sharing the same SSID? If so and it is possible on you router put them on separate SSIDs and see if that makes a difference.
