  1. Please see my earlier responses, please take a moment to have a look at the search function on the forum and see all the previous response to the very same question. If you cannot be bothered to do that then the simple answer is that Hotstar have not yet produced the app for the webOS platform, they are working on it but it is not ready yet.
  2. Hi, In order of your queries: ES File Explore is not missing from the LG Content Store, it is just that ES Global have not yet produced (to the best of my knowledge) a webOS (non-Android) version for the platform. Jio TV is not missing from the LG Content Store, it is just that ES Global have not yet produced (to the best of my knowledge) version for the platform. Third party installation is possible if you 'hack' the system (plenty of information available on other sites), but you still will not be able to install Android or Linux apps on it unless you re-write and re-compile the apps for webOS. You will be able to install Jio TV as soon as they produce it for the webOS platform.
  3. Ignore the option of trying to download, basically the website is trying to read the browser identification string, failing and then offering you the nearest equivalent it has available. The reason you are being told Chrome is not up to date is that the LG webOS browser is based on WebKit which is Apple's basis for its Safari browser and is used (or soon to be used, I'm looking at you Microsoft Edge) by pretty much every other major browser out there apart from Mozilla's Firefox. Yes webOS is 'nix under the hood, but this does not mean that you can just install a Linux app on the system, it would have to be written and compiled especially for the platform.
  4. Well if you're in the UK I'll come and take it off your hands, because yes I do on happen to watch live TV. Bit of a first world problem...
  5. Hi fjunk19, The simple answer is that you cannot install Flash as Adobe dropped support for mobile and Smart TV platforms back in 2011, and is killing off the product at the end of 2020. https://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/news/450423574/Adobes-Flash-end-of-life-scheduled-finally-for-2020 So if you are visiting a site that is heavily dependant on Flash you are going to be out of luck on any mobile or Smart TV that does not run Android.
  6. Thank you for pointing out my error.
  7. Hi, If you have tried everything then the only other thing to suggest is hard wiring to the network, either directly or using Power Over Ethernet adapters.
  8. Hi, Add to the list of possibilities: Are you running on 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi? If it is 2.4GHz then there are a multitude of things that can affect it from cordless house phones to microwave ovens. Channel overlap. Do you have neighbours close by? If so their WiFi could be interfering with yours by using the same channel (between 1 & 15 depending on your country), there are plenty of apps for your mobile device to check this problem out.
  9. Hi Burhan, If you do a search (Google or your personal preference) on the model number you should find the product page on the corresponding LG website for your country. If there is a later firmware available than you have installed then you could manually install it. If not there may be support line numbers available to contact to see if an upgrade will be being released for your unit. Upgrades do roll out in a seemingly haphazard order, not all at the same time and it can take months for an upgrade to either become available or be installed via the Over-The-Air service.
  10. OK, good to know you are up and running. Next time I will say 'It could be a DNS issue' or use the alternative 'Have you tried turning it off and on?'.
  11. As of writing this post there is no Hotstar app, please see the many other post on the subject: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=hotstar
  12. It is a DNS issue, if you know how reset the TV's DNS to that of Google's servers - 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 If you are in doubt please see the other threads on the forum: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=licence agreement
  13. Hi Cliff, If you are on software version 04.05.60 then that is the latest version of webOS available for your unit. Unfortunately it is not as simple as downloading a software file from a webOS version 3/3.5 set and flashing it to your unit. The only upgrade path you would be left with is to get something like a ROKU to give you more up-to-date functionality.
  14. It is a DNS issue, if you know how reset the TV's DNS to that of Google's servers - 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 If you are in doubt please see the other threads on the forum: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=licence agreement
  15. Hi, As with all other OS platforms it is usually the onus of the programme producer (in this case KODI) to produce an app for webOS. It seems that the team behind KODI do not have any plans to accommodate those people that want to use their product on the webOS platform: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=320052 https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=329876 https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=325258 So folks if you want KODI you are voicing your wants on the wrong forum.
  16. That appears to be the last available firmware available.
  17. If you actually care to look at the logo at the top of the page you will hopefully note that this is a user-to-user forum... So no official representation here from the boffins at LG.
  18. Hi Carl, a much covered subject: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=youtube
  19. Hi Vikram, webOS will get the SONYLIV when Sony produces it, as with iOS and Android app development is not down to the platform provider. To the best of my knowledge no mobile platform (this includes Smart TVs) supports Flash due to the fact Adobe dropped support and development back in 2011 for such devices, this includes your Chromecast.
  20. Hi Rita, Sorry that you are having issues with your new TV, unfortunately the problem with the User Agreement form is quite common with the TV struggling to use the settings provided by our internet service provider. If you have a look at some of the other threads on the issue you will find that setting the TV's DNS settings to those of Google's DNS server you will be able to get past your issue: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=user agreement
  21. Actuellement, il n’est possible d’exécuter que des applications bureautiques sur des téléviseurs sous Android.
  22. Hi Chris, The reason you did not see an update is because there are two different ways to build an app for the webOS platform (http://webostv.developer.lge.com/discover/discover-webos-tv/) Packaged web apps: Packaged web apps reside on the TV. Packaged web apps have most of the resources they need to work successfully, available on the TV. Hosted (Server Hosted) web apps: Hosted web apps reside on a remote web server. Users access them through an Internet browser. You can build hosted web apps for webOS TV using standard web technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript. These apps need connectivity to the web server to run successfully. As these apps reside on a remote web server, you can update them at any time without having to worry about pushing updates to the TV. ---- The important bit is the last sentence, this is why the look, feel and functionality of webOS apps often changes without any apparent upgrading.
