Latest firmware fixed the Dolby Vision. I’ve turned off auto update.

I waited until the firmware was available OTA rather than using the USB stick method.

Which version bro?

Issue continues to persist for me. Temporarily plugged my Shield directly into my C9 instead of the receiver which avoids the problem.

According to Vincent Teoh we can expect another update for this issue:

05.10.15

My setup is ATV > Denon 2600H > LG C9 (65 inch).

did the OTA update and Dolby Vision is working fine.

Iam having the same issues with the LG C9 when using Dolby Vision on HBO Max through a Chromecast. I also have a Bose soundbar. I decided to try and watch Dolby Vision without the soundbar as the sound option and it worked flawlessly.

As a workaround, I then changed the audio back to the soundbar and I'm still having no issues. Annoying but at least a temporary workaround

Firmware v05.10.25 was just released in South Korea and for ATSC models. I haven’t tried it yet. Hoping this release resolves all DV issues.

I'm nervous as I'm getting used to plugging my Shield into the C9 rather than my AVR. I don't want things to get worse. I'll wait for others to install it first and provide feedback.

This is for all that have LG monitors with the latest software that changed UI settings for GAME OPTIMIZER
I could not find this anywhere on the internet for an update on what happened to the compatibility modes for DisplayPort/HDMI. Everything is outdated.
Apparently LG updated their UI and MOVED the option for compatibility modes to disable DSC. This USED to be in the common GENERAL tab, but NO LG moved it to the External Devices, which makes no sense as it should be with the common general menu.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or an oversight, but here it is
SETTINGS BUTTON > GENERAL > EXTERNAL DEVICES > INPUT COMPATIBILITY
Why would you disable DSC, you ask?
Well, if you don't disable this mode, you will not be able to use scaling factors like DSR on NVIDIA. I have seen remarks about AMD being able to use it without this option turned off, but for NVIDIA they are behind on this.
This WILL disable high frame rates beyond 144 Hz for the trade-off, but you will be able to scale your resolution higher.

Since my lg-oled65c9pla auto-updated to WebOS 5.5, there is a new bug.
The TV is connected to my Cambridge Audio Evo 75 amplifier over ARC - on powering the TV, it has always started up the amp, and switched it to use audio, instead of the appalling TV speakers. The whole setup has worked flawlessly for 5 years, but since WebOS 5.5, the amplifier starts, but is left in a muted state, and using the un-mute or volume controls on the TV remote makes no difference to turning on audio. The only way to get audio to play though my amp a speakers is to turn the amp's volume dial or press a volume button on the a amp's remote - this then unmutes the TV and audio is back.
There is no setting I can find in the TV that relates to whether the ARC channel starts muted or not...
No software has changed in my amp.  This is an annoying new bug in the TV software, I assume down to some CEC changes.

      Hi,
I have a OLED77C34LA and a pair Bose QC32 II headphones and I have trouble connecting to the tv.
First the headphones works good on my other three devices but the TV has trouble, when I manage to connect they work perfect but when I turn the off on on again the headphones will say they are connected to the TV but the TV most of the time won't give me an option to connect and I remember I got a popup asking if I wanted the use the headphones as output but only for like 3-4 times so far.
Usually I have to plug the power out of the TV for a while and remove the bluetooth device but and it doesn't always work. It's not great spending like 15min to get the headphones to work.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

I've just updated my LG 55UM75 TV to the latest software version - 05..20.15 - and now the picture looks off.
I've turned off TruMotion, Motion Eye Care, Smooth Gradation, Noise Reduction and Smooth Gradation, but somehow everything still looks artificial.
Is there another picture setting I'm missing, I've gone through every setting I can find.
