Hi, Does anyone know how to change the start up source on a

LG 55UJ635V L tv?

When i turn it on it starts at Live tv which i dont use so i have to keep changing it to my Sky box (HDMI) source. keep reading it should turn on at the last used source but it doesnt?

LG suggested change HDMI ports but that didnt work?

driving me mad, even reset the tv and its still doing it?

When you setup your tv don't say you have live channels. If you don't do this, it will not display the live tv any more.

You have to choose settopbox and then select the sky box.

I had live tv for some time but my provider had problems so I changed to a provider who used a settopbox.

First I had the same problem as you but I managed to solve it. I don't know for sure that I did reset the tv but I had to choose the settopbox from the connector menu. A bit like this old tutorial:

link hidden, please login to view

The problem was that after this part they ask for your provider and the type of settopbox and that last was a bit difficult to find.

But, when I got it all working, I can use my magic remote to change channels and when I push the live-tv button it wil bring me back to the settopbox input

Good luck,

Peter

When i reset it there i ignored the livetv+ setbox option, just chose set top box, no massive deal reseting it right enough it just took a few minutes, to be honest i wouldnt be surprised if when i come in from work tomorrow and turn it on it goes to live tv again, i see the option is still at the top when i press the connections button on the remote.

my provider is Sky, not much else in the UK.

That could be a translation problem. Mine is in Dutch so YMMV.

Does your set-top box have a symbol that it is connected to your TV (a small remote symbol)?

Do you have a magic remote? What happens if you press the direct-tv button (looks like a small tv)?

Its a Sky box mate, doesnt have a display on it.

I had a magic remote but didnt really use it as can control most things with the Sky remote so sold it.

the first time i set the tv up i had an android box, games console and the set top box going into a HDMI hub and the hub the only cable going into the back of the TV.

I removed the hub at the weekend there and put all three boxes directly into the TV as there is 3 HDMI ports, wonder if i take them out and put them back into the hub it will stop doing what its doing?

Ah, that is not what I meant. Does the 'set-top box' symbol in the 'connected device' menu has a symbol on it that it is configured?

Don't think that using a USB hub will help.

Probably not but cant think of anything else?

If somebody just played an X-box on their new tv most of the time it must be possible to change a setting so the tv starts on that source?

ridiculous if you cant?

I sent Lg another email, probably get the same reply.

Settings → All Settings → Programme → Programme Tuning and Settings → Programme List Update → Off

This issue happens because your TV is trying to search for updates within the TV's channel listings. This was something that was implemented with the latest software versions because the governing body who look after the channels wanted the TV to scan for updates at 4am in the morning. This means that your TV will switch to your Live TV for this update, and cause your TV to default to that input instead of the last input used as it thinks it was the last one. Turning this off will stop this process and hopefully keep your last input used on.

I FINALLY found a fix for this. Well, really a workaround, but it solved the problem for me. I went into parental settings and set a passcode lock on the live tv and component inputs. Now, my tv starts up perfectly on whatever HDMI input I last used.

OK, do you know how to do this if I already set up my TV and didn't do this?

I have went into the all devices menu and clicked on 'remove from launcher'  (live tv) turned set off on and it worked fine, whether it does tomorrow is another matter haha.

I can't find "all devices" on mine.

Hello, I know that other LG WebOS users have the same problem as me, but I can't find a solution on the web.
Perhaps one of you experts can help me.
Shortly: manually sort the app icons on my LG Smart TV (OLED77C55LA) and place the “TV Channels” icon in the first position (on the left, to be clear). Before all the others (e.g. Netflix, PlutoTV, Prime, etc.), but when I turn off the TV for a few hours and turn it back on, I find the “TV Channels” icon in last position.
I have tried putting it in second position, third position and so on, but every time I turn it back on, I find it in last position.
      Can anyone help me?
      Thank you.

      Hi All,
I have an LG Oled65C554, I know I I can rearrange the apps screen. What I cannot seem to figure out is how to arrange/re-arrange the smart hub lay.

On the left I have the Input and a scroll, however on the right side I have a BIG part that takes LG smart divices en IOT-devices which is empty as I don't have ohte LG appliances.
I woul like to get rid of the right part on the screen or even better add my hoemkit devices to the dashboard(not sure if that will be possible).
      Anyone who got this working?

I've update 2 of my LG Digital signage TVs (Model 65UH5J-HP) to the latest firmware (3.74.00). Before updating I was able to access the admin menu using "000000" as the default PWD. After updating, I am no longer able to use that default password to access the admin menu. It's giving me a message saying "Incorrect password (Same number repeated). Please try again"
      I tried to usual suspects:
      123456
      654321
      111111
      666666
No bueno  - anyone got any insights?  LG corporate support was unable to help either.
