  1. Today we received this message on Facebook from OpenMobile...

A few weeks ago, we wrote to you letting you know about the approaching release of our groundbreaking software, ACL for webOS. We just wanted to follow-up and let you know that IT'S HERE! ACL for webOS is available for purchase at www.bit.ly/aclforwebos, which means you can run Android apps on your HP TouchPad TODAY!

For those of you who are unaware, our Application Compatibility Layer software, better known as ACL, enables non-Android devices to seamlessly run Android apps, giving you instant access to thousands of more apps on your HP TouchPad, including those that are most popular, such as Netflix, Twitter, Instagram, and Evernote, just to name a few. Upon installation and activation of ACL, your TouchPad becomes instantly loaded with the OpenMobile AppMall, your one-stop-shop for all of your favorite Android games and apps, all of which have been tested and approved, ensuring that they will work just like they're supposed to on your TouchPad.

Want to see ACL in action? Check out just a few top Android apps working perfectly on a TouchPad here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps0sJPz2Vn0&feature=share&list=PLoSV9tCsYvtJOgppAsSUmHEFtjlup3KU-.

    Thanks!

  3. Here's a new story this week....looks like Qualcomm acquired webOS patents from HP. LG bought webOS and all the source code but licensed the patents from HP. I wonder what this means for LG now and what Qualcomm plans to do. LG uses Qualcomm processors in their phones...we can speculate!
