I noticed since the last update of WebOS, it defaults to a screen with apps along the bottom rather than HDMI1 as before on startup. Even after going into the input settings and selecting HDMI1, it stills defaults to the other screen on startup. When selecting HDMI1 on the inputs screen, it has a red dot in the corner, which I would assumes means that's the selected default. But again, this seems to be ignored this on startup. Thanks.2 points

I called Amazon CS and they said it is a known problem and has to do with a bug in the latest release of the app. "They are working on it". I don't now why they don't re-release the old version until they get their act together2 points

Hi. What can I do to get my TV to use the full broadband speed that I've got available. My tv is a 55EC930V and is using a wired connection to my router. My broadband is currently running at 125Mbps. When I use any other devices such as a laptop, mobile phone, etc the speed using fast.com returns anything between 120 to 130 MBps. But, when I use the web browser on the TV, it always maxes out at 33Mbps. This value is reported by fast.com. If I use the speed test in the Netflix app, this returns approx 29Mbps. I never get anything higher, so what's limiting it? The same problem occurs for YouTube and that's the only other App that I've got installed. If the network board in the TV is supposed to be 10-100Mbps, why don't I get 100 Mbps? I know I won't get 125Mbps because LG never puts 1Gbps in any of it's TVs.2 points

I'd like a fast accessible shortcut to turn off the screen, eg. when pressing settings, a button on the screen. Or even better, the possibility to configure the speaker off button on the remote to turn off the screen instead. It should work independently of the energy saving feature, so that energy saving is not set to off when the screen is turned on again. The existing procedure to turn off screen is to complex press settings, press all settings, press energy saving, press off..... and when the screen is turned on again, the energy saving is set to off, and not to the previous value (eg. auto). If you use the voice function on the remote and say "screen off" it will also turn off the screen, this seems to be the most efficient way of doing it I've found so far. There needs to be a shortcut button on the remote!2 points

I recently also had a web application that wouldn't run on webOS until I converted my JavaScript modules to scripts. Are there plans to add support for JS modules?1 point

Hey, for some reason I haven't experienced the issue very much after posting it. If it does happen the only solution that seems to work for me is to hard power off the devices (i.e. turn them off at the wall) and then turn them on again. I am not sure if they ALL need to be powered off, you can start with just doing the TV but mine are all on 1 plug so they all go off an on when I cycle the power.1 point

You english is perfectly correct. I am French and member of this community group (not a LG employee). I also bougth the C3 TV recently and I also have this logo that takes 2 seconds or so. But I choose to go directly to the "recent input" (your Entrada Reciente) so I bypass the LG menu (there is a paramter for this). However, I think your question is about how to bypass the logo, isn't it ? I don't have the answer for that. I think the logo is "mandatory". Phil.1 point

Do you have any devices connected via HDMI? For example a DVD player, or a set-top-box or PVR? If so, check the cables are not low spec or bad. I had that exact issue, and it was an old/cheap HDMI cable, and even when NOT using that port, it would affect a TV channel display.1 point

Hey I have an OLED C3 evo A Pioneer amplifier is connected to the optical output. I want to connect Bluetooth headphones and use them at the same time as the amplifier. The thing is, I haven't seen such an option on TV. It is possible to play simultaneously with the Bluetooth headphones and the internal speakers on the TV. There is no option for Bluetooth and the optical port at the same time. Am I missing something here? Thanks Dani1 point

Same issue here, tried the same steps. It's still possible to watch via YouTube (bonus feature being the rewind function) I have emailed the app support shown in the store page.1 point

I found mine to be sort of self inflicted. It seems lg decided to use flip up disconnect for all ribbon connectors except the one that goes to power switch/ IR. It is opposite so it was essentially disconnected. After I found that, everything worked. Thanks for response.1 point

i can't confirm. some tv are the same but have little changes like the wifi module etc. if you use that code, you can enable pvr probably but there are a lot of chance that he will disable wifi so please, read the original code. fortunately yout tv is like mine (mine have same model number) and is fully supported by my calculator. open Github and search for "ToolOPT6" and you will calculate by yourself In my experience you can enable "Support ATV DVR", "DVR Ready" and set "Sound Mode" to Dolby Atmos without any issue. N.B. The code "541838600" is not for UP75 Series but it still a vadid code. If you put on the tv, you will disable "Digital eye", lost WiFi and Bluetooth functionality and disconnect all smart remote. Please don't do that1 point

Thank you, fokrones!! Finally someone with a more or less actionable solution. I can confirm the subtitles functionality working across all devices (incl. LG OLED). MaxPlayer is not free though (€1,50 per month for 5 devices), which I am happy to pay. Thanks again! UPDATE: after 2 months of use I can report the following about maxplayer.tv: 1) the display of subtitles sometimes differs depending on the device. One example: on LG TV only English whereas Multi Sub on iPad. 2) there are some bugs: for some episodes of GoT there were no English subs to choose from on LG TV. On iPad no problem. 3) the quality of the picture seems to be better on maxplayer.tv compared to Smarters iPTV but maxplayer.tv had more buffering issues than Smarters. To sum up, not very happy at the moment. Hoping to find better alternatives with working subtitles across ALL devices and no buffering issues. Any suggestions??1 point

I used to watch like that with hdd plugged, now I use LG smart share. The LG player on my TV is not so simple. There is choices for color, size, encodings, external and internal subs, synchronization, but opaque box is what is missing. When there are bright scenes you can't read the subs properly. I think they could add choice for transparency of the opaque box.1 point

Thanks for the reply, really appreciated. I eventually got through to the LG online Helpline and after a bit of back and forth, whoever was on the other end eventually told me the TV had been added to my account. Nothing is showing in my account at the minute, only my older LG TV. I'm pleased with the picture quality but still struggling a bit with the 'Magic Remote'.1 point

Hello, I have the same problem only I'm using the Sonos Arc Center Speaker (as long as eARC port is being utilied your bluetooth function will not stay activated). I have spoke to LG Engineers and they say only solution to this problem is to unplug anything in your eARC port when utilizing the TV Bluetooth function. This solution that has been offered by LG will eventually cause wear & tear on your eARC port constantly pulling HDMI plug in and out, LG has acknowledged this but says thats the only solution, Nice LG!!!! Worst TV Brand I have ever had, WebOS is terrible enough and now you have to suffer with these bluetooth problems, wish I could be more positive about your issue. Regards1 point

If you already have image retention or OLED burn-in, there's nothing you can do to remove it. As prevention, you can run the pixel refresher periodically, make sure screen shift is on and keep the logo luminance setting to low. But if you already have image retention then you should contact LG Customer Service and seek a solution for a replacement TV through them. Their email is [email protected]. Years ago, I had a LG OLED 55E6P TV and the CNN logo started to burn in. They were great about it and offered me a pro-rated discount towards a replacement TV. Give it a try.1 point

I have got from a friend the code for his OLED42C21LA: I have tried to update the code on my one, but I cannot select it for modification (on my C1 I can). I have FW 03.30.16. Is that common to C2? If somebody can test, it would be helpful. Any idea I can enable SM/ToolOPT6_Energy/country for modification?1 point

Guys, please advise how we can stream the FIFA World Cup on LG Smart Tv? Jio Cinema has won the exclusive rights and it would be an absolute shame if we are not able to watch the biggest sporting event in the world on our smart TV. Nullifies the entire purpose of a Smart TV. Kindly get this addressed.1 point

I have a LG OLED C9 and use a soundbar with optical. If I use Bluetooth headphones and terminate the connection, the webOS always jumps back to internal speakers, which I don't use. Is there any way to set it to automatically return the soundbar (optical)?1 point

I can’t believe how unpopular this request is, and that they haven’t implemented it when it’s such an easy thing to implement. Every TV should have this feature by now, knowing all we know about how it impacts sleep.1 point

We purchased and LG UHD SmartTV with WebOS at end of July 2018. The following messages continuously alternate re. the Wired Ethernet connection whenever the LAN cable is plugged in, i.e. "Wired network is connected" followed immediately by "Wired Lan cable disconnected". However, the router is stable and there is a trouble-free, continous Wi-fi connnection to the same Smart TV. There are also no failures for other devices connected via a Wired Ethernet connection to the same router. Dear LG ... is this a WebOS software issue or is it a SmartTV network card issue ? If this is not resolved very quickly we will dump this TV and buy SAMSUNG instead.1 point

I agree. I´m trying to use IPTV apps and I have problems with some channels because use codecs like H.265, not present in my TV (49UJ6560 with WebOs 3.5)1 point

On the main webos page it states that the Eurosport player app can be added or is included (obviously you would need to signup for their service) but I cannot see it and have no idea how to get onto my lgwebos tv. How exactly do I go about getting the app onto my LGwebos?1 point
