Why does tv say file download not supported and how do I add stremio

Hi @Sue Jackson

If you are talking about files that you have recorded from live TV they are encrypted due to copyright laws that LG have to follow, so you will not be able to save them to play on a different platform.

I'm trying to down load Apowermirror apk app but it keeps saying "file downloading not supported"... Is there a way around this? Anyone help?

@Karen kelly- Mc Laughlin You can only install apps from the LG store on your TV.

Smart TV Browsers are basic compared with PC browsers, and are written to function with the WebOS (TV operating system) limitations, and functional limitations of the TV hardware.

APK files are for the Android eco-system, and are not compatible with webOS.

There’s very little you can do with an LG TV except watch video.......terrible OS

@Arthur Dent As @George Hofmeister  has already pointed out, downloading of file types not compatible with the TV operating system will be blocked, as any attempted use of such files would NOT work, and produce confusing error messages for the user. Any operating system for ANY device (TV, router, Set-top-box etc.) would HAVE to protect itself from abuse, otherwise it could be rendered inoperative.

I think you might be trying to compare WebOS, and a smart TV with PC-like attributes, but it is like chalk and cheese comparisons. In any event, Apple devices are VERY restrictive of what can/cannot be installed, as THAT OS is a closed system.
