Cool screensaver ruined by No Signal warning LG55E8

Question

Posted

TV was installed yesterday. The screensaver turns the TV into framed art, which is pretty cool. But it's ruined by a floating warning: No Signal (blah, blah). Any way to eliminate this warning during the screensaver mode?

I just got the answer...the screensaver will always show that message. You need to go to the Gallery app on the Home screen, and choose it from there. Very simple, now that I know...

Same annoying issue here. I get that I have no channels tuned, LG. Don't think your customers are that dumb. That aside, why would you ruin the beautiful screensaver with that unnecessary pop-up? At least give us an option to disable it. Jeez, whoever uses cable tv these days anyway?

Is this forum really been read by LG? It doesn’t make any sense at all. Why LG is not even considering to introduce an option to disable it. Is it that hard for them to come up with such an option. Just for this one reason I hate LG TV. I am even planning to get rid of LG TV from all my rooms by this thanksgiving and will never buy this one again. Poor customer friendly service .. Very poor indeed.

While displaying wallpaper it's showing for hide press red button I press then and that massage disappears

This doesn’t work on the C8. If you press the red button it only gives you a record error message

Well Done LG!!!!  Great that this is possible to remove now.

How about giving the option to remove LiveTV  now too?    If you have no TV input then often the input will switch to LiveTV when you switch on, with disastrous consequences for home theatre sound (extremely loud, continuous static noise) until you switch to a different input, which might take a while as you just inadvertently threw the remote out the window and into the pool due to the sudden shock hearing the awful noise!

Many people do not use LiveTV anymore. You should do a survey.

i am having an issue with my LG OLED77C2 tv that started happening (i believe) once i have updated from web24 to 25. It seems like whenever the tv is displaying a source from any of my four HDMI inputs, while i am watching the screen goes black randomly for a few seconds and it loses audio as well during the black screen. Once this happens the audio usually comes back as soon as the image does, however not always. The audio might dissapear completely. In order to fix that i might need to power cycle the tv or unplug the hdmi input out, wait a little and then plug back in. Moreover, sometimes when the black screen flash happens it cripples most of my native apps on the tv. So if i switch to netflix or youtube right after the black screen flash, both apps populate normally all the video/film options in the main menu but when i try to actually play any of the video/films, they dont play and it is throwing an error. These black flashes never happen when i am watching netflix or youtube. Only when using my hdmi inputs. ive changed brand new high quality cables but that did not fix my issue. For the xbox i was already suing an ultra hish speed 2.1 hdmi cable but ive re placed that as well with a brand new one. ive also changed the tvs main board to a brand new and it still happening. Once the dealer changed the board, the tv was behaving normally without the issue. However after a few days i updated the tv to the latest firmware and this started happening. what do i do?
FYI: I tried EVERY SINGLE option to troubleshoot the issue. Disabled VRR, AMD Freesync, ALLM, HDMI Deep Colour, SIMPLINK, I basically set my tv to display video and audio in the most archaic way just to troubleshoot. Still doing it. I am using an xbox series x on input 1 and a mag520 box on input 3. Does it on both sources. Moreover, in case this helps whenever this happens while on the xbox the Dolby vision/HDR logo appears on the top right right after the video comes back once the black screen is over depending on what settings i have the xbox on. Also swapped to different inputs. Still doing it

Hello. I installed an app on my LG C9 called ArtHola. It is a gallery app that changes chosen artwork on the screen. Unfortunately, LG's fireworks screen saver comes on after a minute. Is there a way to disable that? Or is there a way to make that ArtHola app send a signal to the TV to keep the fireworks from coming on? I know that when I have my Nvidia Shield TV's screensaver come on, the TV never interrupts that.

Hi, just bought a new LG OLED and pretty fast noticed that I`ve now chance to change the wallpapers ?!?

Really pretty strange - even the smallest smartphone offers such a feature. The TV has enough USB interfaces - why is it not able to customize this by an own set of pictures ?

Can`t be that big rocket science to implement this , especially for such an expensive device this should be a standard feature !!!

Or did I  miss something in the settings of the TV ?
