  3. After blocking youtube in Russia I connect ipv6 protocol, but youtube app not work, only work in browser. Does it work with ipv6 or not? How to up the priority for use ipv6 over ipv4. How to disable ipv4 on TV, I can only disable ipv6.

  5. I noticed since the last update of WebOS, it defaults to a screen with apps along the bottom rather than HDMI1 as before on startup. Even after going into the input settings and selecting HDMI1, it stills defaults to the other screen on startup. When selecting HDMI1 on the inputs screen, it has a red dot in the corner, which I would assumes means that's the selected default. But again, this seems to be ignored this on startup. Thanks.

  6. I called Amazon CS and they said it is a known problem and has to do with a bug in the latest release of the app. "They are working on it". I don't now why they don't re-release the old version until they get their act together

  7. Hi. What can I do to get my TV to use the full broadband speed that I've got available. My tv is a 55EC930V and is using a wired connection to my router. My broadband is currently running at 125Mbps. When I use any other devices such as a laptop, mobile phone, etc the speed using fast.com returns anything between 120 to 130 MBps. But, when I use the web browser on the TV, it always maxes out at 33Mbps. This value is reported by fast.com. If I use the speed test in the Netflix app, this returns approx 29Mbps. I never get anything higher, so what's limiting it? The same problem occurs for YouTube and that's the only other App that I've got installed. If the network board in the TV is supposed to be 10-100Mbps, why don't I get 100 Mbps? I know I won't get 125Mbps because LG never puts 1Gbps in any of it's TVs.

  9. I'd like a fast accessible shortcut to turn off the screen, eg. when pressing settings, a button on the screen. Or even better, the possibility to configure the speaker off button on the remote to turn off the screen instead. It should work independently of the energy saving feature, so that energy saving is not set to off when the screen is turned on again. The existing procedure to turn off screen is to complex press settings, press all settings, press energy saving, press off..... and when the screen is turned on again, the energy saving is set to off, and not to the previous value (eg. auto).   10. If you use the voice function on the remote and say "screen off" it will also turn off the screen, this seems to be the most efficient way of doing it I've found so far. There needs to be a shortcut button on the remote!

  11. webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though. I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains. Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

  12. Hey LG Can you actually answer forum questions because many people want answers, and really support your products. Even me I have asked question but nothing zilch, zit. So we buy but nil zit, zero help from you Product such as TV's are limited use and life. Playback support and updates are really bad (Only bare minimum support in TV's) Seriously this does not make people like me want to purchase your products again I am seriously looking at other makers to purchase It is a shame because you have such a great product Yes I am NOT happy

  14. @wallyricks You may be correct that a Windows Update has made this start to occur. Both Windows 10 and 11 have been beefing up security a lot recently, to stop bad/buggy executables and apps from compromising the system. It is possible that the LG SmartShare program has "got away with it" for some time, and as you say, best to choose a better, more up-to-date app.

  16. You have a new 2024 model, a c4. even if you open the service menu, you cannot edit the value. You can unlock that with jailbreak, but till today there is no publick jailbreak avaiable for you tv

  18. Information about the reasons for turning off the TV (due to problems with the equipment or a normal shutdown with the remote control) is stored in the logs of the TV service menu.   21. I found a way to boost my download speed! I went into the connection settings on my TV and switched the IP address to manual. Then, I entered a custom IP address that works on my network instead of using the automatic setting. This bumped up my download speed from 7 MB to 22 MB! Just make sure the IP address you choose isn't already in use on your network.

  22. I did find a solution but you must be comfortable with rooting your tv. I had to root and add a startup script that would disable the internal screensaver when your app is running. https://discord.gg/TD4UhC6a the above link shows how to root your tv.

  23. Hey I have an OLED C3 evo A Pioneer amplifier is connected to the optical output. I want to connect Bluetooth headphones and use them at the same time as the amplifier. The thing is, I haven't seen such an option on TV. It is possible to play simultaneously with the Bluetooth headphones and the internal speakers on the TV. There is no option for Bluetooth and the optical port at the same time. Am I missing something here? Thanks Dani

  26. I have recently bought LG smart TV and facing the same issue on IPTV smarters pro. Unable to swap between audio tracks on TV itself. I can see options are available but arrow navigates between top settings and bottom fonts, can't select any other option. I have fire tv stick connected with same TV and there I can change the audio track in IPTV smarters pro. Did you guys receive any reply of your emails from smarters pro? or somebody got any hack. If someone can suggest any other free IPTV app for LG smart TV where the same credentials of iptv smarters pro can be used and have audio track option to select. Thanks

  27. The Spotify app may not be available on some LG TVs due to compatibility issues. The Spotify app is only compatible with LG smart TV models from 2016 or later, all of which run LG’s webOS.   30. Hello, I have the same problem only I'm using the Sonos Arc Center Speaker (as long as eARC port is being utilied your bluetooth function will not stay activated). I have spoke to LG Engineers and they say only solution to this problem is to unplug anything in your eARC port when utilizing the TV Bluetooth function. This solution that has been offered by LG will eventually cause wear & tear on your eARC port constantly pulling HDMI plug in and out, LG has acknowledged this but says thats the only solution, Nice LG!!!! Worst TV Brand I have ever had, WebOS is terrible enough and now you have to suffer with these bluetooth problems, wish I could be more positive about your issue. Regards

  33. Hi @JeanF The short answer is no, the long one is yes but only if you or someone else creates it for the platform. It is not as simple as actually taking an existing browser, say like Chrome, and installing it on the platform. (mansplaining over...)

  35. The Gallery application is nice but it does not compare with the Samsung Frame offering and that's too bad because LG could through software be quite competitive. One place to start would be to look at the Art Legacy+ and associated applications available from a small company called Landka. I've displayed from an iPad their 100+ classic images. Each image is panned slightly during display so there is no danger of burn in. Images can persist for up to 60 seconds (would rather see up to 10 minutes). The cost is minimal. LG could look into licensing this app or doing something similar. The app itself could also use a couple of improvements: 1) an optional virtual frame such as is offered by Samsung Frame and 2) changing the background color of the TV where the image does not display (for example a vertically-oriented piece of art) to be much more like a matte around a photo. I'm running Legacy+ on my LGTV daily. It really improves the room and adds a lot of value to the TV.

  37. My understanding is that all LG TVs post 2016 will get the ITVX app, its just a case of when. You can of course use the internet browser on your LG TV and access ITVX via its website .I've tried it and it works, albeit that LG browser is a pile of crap and very very slow.

  38. I am on Webos 4.40.18 and the YouTube app got totally messed up after the last update. Even if it's installed, when trying to open in the content store I get a message saying that it's not available for the region of the TV. When opening the app, the entire content gets stacked up in one single tile. Nice testing before releasing an app to Production. Is there any direct way to send this bugs to the developers? Probably it will take days or weeks to fix. Keep doing this great job...

  39. Does LG hire real software engineers with actual computer science degrees? Or do they just piggyback on software engineers that build webOS for free? My LG 77" OLED C2 is far from "smart" ... after a long online chat with LG tech support because my TV decided it would connect my Bose Q45 Bluetooth headphone then immediately disconnect. After hours of removing the device in the Bluetooth list, pairing the Bose headphones again, still same problem. Keep in mind my headphones were working fine 1 day ago. So the end result was: 1. Disable Quick Start (from settings) 2. Turn off TV 3. Disconnect the main power from source outlet 4. Hold down the power button under the little red light ... wait 30 seconds 5. Plug the TV back in and power on using the button under the red light. 6. Connect my Bose Q45 headphones If this weren't a waste of 1-2 hours of time it would be comical. I've had this problem 3 times since I bought the TV 2 months ago. I've gone thru 3 WebOS updates and each one seems to get worse and worse. If the software engineers at LG don't know what they're doing, then please STOP. Just banging out garbage untested code so you get paid isn't good for LG. This Bluetooth problem is well documented across the internet and LG is just making the problem worse. Connect then immediate Disconnect of a Bluetooth device sounds exactly like the code didn't capture the devices UUID. I don't know what approach the LG software engineers are using but if it's this method: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/bluetooth/le/ScanRecord or they might want to use Sweet Blue https://sweetblue.io/ . Your software seems to be processing the same UUID twice (sounds like basic loop logic problem as you cycle found devices). Did any of the LG development team actually test multiple Bluetooth devices? Either way LG, hire some quality software engineers that know what they're doing or pay for a quality assurance group to unit test. And yes, I'm a software engineer with over 35 years of experience.

  41. Is there a video player for WebOs that could play mpeg and stuff? There're no VLC, MX player, Joyo player at the LG content store. It seems rather strange that in 2022 there're still problems with playing mp4 files on the WebOs.

  42. TikTok has launched an app for LG’s 2020 and 2021 smart TVs, the TV manufacturer has announced. The app arrived on these recent webOS 5.0 and webOS 6.0 models with a firmware update that started rolling out on October 7th, but will also be coming to older 2019 TVs “in the coming months.” The app is launching in the UK, France, and Germany, a TikTok representative confirmed to The Verge. That’s notable since TikTok’s smart TV apps for Samsung TVs, Android TV, and Fire TV have all focused on those same European countries so far. Meanwhile in the US, TikTok released a more limited “More on TikTok” app on Fire TV devices last year. We have followed up with both LG and TikTok to ask which regions the new smart TV app will be available in. Considering how optimized TikTok is for portrait-orientated mobile viewing, it’s not going to look great on living room televisions. But TikTok is understood to be trying to reach a broader audience with its smart TV apps, as well as to tap into the higher advertising rates associated with TV viewing, Protocol previously reported.   45. I had this issue for a while... it started off with the mouse pointer not working... then youtube video stutter and the popup coming up on and off more and more frequent. I had the TV wired through a 1 Meter cat5e cable to Dlink Gigabit Switch which is then connected through a 10Meter cat5e cable to the Router. I changed the switch to a TPLink unmanaged Pro switch and toggled the port to 100MF and it was alleviating the issue for a while before it get bad again. Then I swap out the 1Meter cable from a CAT5e to CAT6 and surprisingly, the problem goes away. It looks like the cable might have gotten bad over time.

  49. TV is nice but there are a lot of details to be fixed. And as far as we know this is not a strong part of LG. Frustrating slow interface. TV may have worked a long time and can switch options menu, wait at least 10 seconds. All this happens in a dual-core processor. SmartShare again can not remember my desire, to i see the content in folders. Bad maintenance of subtitles. There is no possibility to change and preserve the default encoding to another on the list. At the same time can remembers the color, size and position of the subtitle. For extra as 3D dynamic subtitles, that each blu ray device supports, i do not even think. I do not want to talk about the strange consumer agreements and any restriction imposed by LG, if you do not accept. Such arrogance, even Apple does not allow.
