  1. This is NOT a solution. As I said the LG client IS NOT working without internet EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PLEX MEDIA SERVER CONFIGURED CORRECTLY. This is an issue specific to the LG Plex Client app. No other client apps have this issue.
  2. I understand the various settings needed to watch my local media without internet access. I have those configured properly and I am currently able to do this using an appleTV, Roku TV, or android tv box. The problem is specific to the client App ON my LG TV. The client App itself is for some reason coded to not work in spite of the Plex Media Server being configured to allow local media access.
  3. The LG WebOS Plex App will not start without internet access even though the App is used to access local Media from a Plex Sever on the local network. Samsung, Roku, AppleTV Plex Apps ALL work on the local network playing local Media even if internet access is not available. This is a dealbreaker. I will NOT purchase anymore LG TV’s unless this issue is corrected. The app simply states that “Internet is Not Accessible” and will not continue to load. I don’t care if the internet is not available. My local network IS available and is all that is needed.
  4. I have the same issue on the OLEDC1PUB. It’s very annoying and I hope they fix the issue ASAP. The “Last Input” setting is supposed to correct this and did before this update. I was thinking about purchasing a new TV but may need to look at other brands. Sad because I do like the LG Brand. But having a way to default to OTA broadcasts is a must. After all, it is a TV first and foremost.

  6. There is a new procedure listed. Take a look at the FAQs Not FAQs, the pins
  7. I did find a solution but you must be comfortable with rooting your tv. I had to root and add a startup script that would disable the internal screensaver when your app is running. https://discord.gg/TD4UhC6a the above link shows how to root your tv.
  8. So I guess my question has been answered. The answer is none of them anymore. Because LG thinks $6.75 is too much for ATSC 3.0. So ok, I won’t be buying any LG TVs anymore. See ya LG.
  9. I visited Best Buy asking which TV’s Included ATSC 3.0 Tuners. The sales person stated that all Samsung Models did but only some High End Models of LG did. When will all LG TV’s come with ATSC 3.0 Tuners?
  10. Can you provide more information? Can you run the Amazon Prime Video app? Or is there an error message when starting? Can you log in? What device are you using? Does the media play at all and pause because it’s buffering?
  11. This issue is definitely Model specific. The newer OLED models have this issue when you are using Apps from the built in WebOS. Some Apps do not need the screensaver because the Apps have their own protection built in. But since there are so many Karen’s out there that think they know more than you do everyone that complains is just told the LG screensaver is to protect you from yourself. But the ideal solution would be to allow the owner of the TV to exempt certain apps from the screensaver that have their own protection built in. This would satisfy the Karen’s and those of us that want to maximize the potential of our investment.
  12. I did that first thing. It’s because I have an OLED TV instead of LCD or LED.
  13. When I do that I only get an option to turn off the No Signal Image but not the screensaver.
  14. Can you tell me what model of LG tv you have that gives you the option to turn off your screensaver?
  15. I want to apologize for my apparent frustration. You are clearly trying to help. My frustration is with LG. Apparently LG is not consistent with their firmware across models. This one doesn’t have that option and on latest software update. And based on the date of the first post for this issue it has been a problem for some time. But at least it looks like they have fixed it in some models or some regions. So there is hope they will expand that fix.
