Problem in Dolby Vision on LG Oled TVs C9 and CX models after Software update: 05.10.04
Immediately after updating to 5.10.04, it keeps flashing / fails to sync on all Dolby Vision signals from Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) via a Denon X4500H. Other reports indicate that this is also true for Apple TV + and XBOX SERIES S/X.

From programmed obsolescence as a crime against consumer relations,
The market is driven by consumer dissatisfaction, which is always looking for the most modern or most functional product. The State grants consumers special protection through Law 8078 of 1990, by listing in its text some infractions against consumer relations. Even though the practice of obsolescence encourages the economy by generating more jobs, due to uninterrupted production by suppliers, it is an offense committed by producers. We conclude that, despite not being considered a crime by law, obsolescence is a harmful practice for the consumer.
The Consumer Defense Code (Law 8.078 of September 11, 1990) establishes, in Title II, of art. 61 to 80, a list of crimes against consumers. It should be noted that this list is not exhaustive, as art. 61 is clear in saying that they constitute crimes against consumer relations provided for in the code, without prejudice to the provisions of the Penal Code and extravagant laws. To avoid any kind of confusion, we have:
“The Penal Code and the extravagant law remain in force, with subsidiary effect. That is to say: if a given factual hypothesis is simultaneously governed by a provision of the CP and another one of this Title II, this one will prevail over that one.” (PAULO JOSÉ DA COSTA JR. AND FERNANDO JOSÉ DA COSTA, Crimes against the consumer, 2nd ed., Atlas, p. 3-4)
In particular, art. 66 indicates that the practice of programmed obsolescence is illegal when it states that it constitutes a crime against consumer relations "to make a false or misleading statement, or omit relevant information about the nature, characteristic, quality, quantity, safety, performance, durability, price or warranty of products and services".

Taking into account that, in the practice of obsolescence, the supplier does not inform that the product already has a predetermined operating period regardless of whether it is in perfect condition or not, we have:
"The supplier's silence on a relevant aspect of the product or service, which for some was equated with an allegation, can also make the verb "omit" focus. In other words: the supplier cannot remain silent when providing information to the consumer, because this is equivalent to omitting”. (ANTONIO CEZAR LIMA DA FONSECA, Consumer Criminal Law, 2nd ed. Livraria do Advogado, p. 162)

In other words, it is a problem of the model, worldwide, with general dissatisfaction among gamers, proving that LG acts illegally, against the consumer.

Both Oled C9 and Oled CX can transmit in 4K 120HZ with DOLBY VISION ENABLED.

The OLED C9 has HDMI 2.1 at 48GB of data speed, the Oled CX E C1 HDMI 2.1 at 40GB.
The 3 have current WEBOS, system with updated processor and Artificial Intelligence, same quality and data processing.
In fact Oled C9, it normally produced DOLBY VISION on Xbox Series X, Apple TV + , Netflix and after the update (in the same week that Oled C1 received the fix to support DOLBY VISION in 120hz), it stopped producing content correctly in Dolby Vision. In contact with DOLBY and Microsoft both say that the responsibility for updates is LG.

The complaint and denunciation are registered with links to the case.

It didn't quite correct it.

The worst thing is the programmed OBSOLENCE causing this error to force us to buy the C1

That is actually  way worse than planned Obsolescence.

You are talking about a decrease / removal of features (this case a problem with Dolby Vision) via a software update...  If it is the case then is a very clear case of FRAUD!

The last year and a half have been the ultimate test of resilience for everyone and HR at LG has been at the forefront of managing these difficult times. Throughout the pandemic, the HR team navigated new ways for employees and management to work as the company has been forced to rethink and adapt to the new environment.
Here at LG, the health and safety of our employees are our highest priorities. In this regard, we have always led by example such as the time we made the difficult decision to be the first multinational company to , the largest trade show in the industry, at the start of the pandemic as we felt it was the only way of ensuring the safety of our employees, customers and partners.

Since early last year, LG’s HR teams across the globe have been reinforcing business and organization sustainability as well as continuous internal communication and transparency at all levels. It is this close alignment in direction that has allowed HR to act swiftly and provide invaluable support across the organization and to our valued employees since the very beginning.
To provide the best working environment possible, aligning LG’s HR leaders around the world immediately proved vital, with constantly open and transparent communication making this all possible. To guarantee that our global HR teams were on the same page, we created specific communication channels to deliver video presentations on the direction of our global HR strategy as well as employing more frequent virtual face-to-face discussions with HR leaders from around the globe.

As well as taking care of employees’ physical health, LG made an equal effort to support their psychological and mental health. In India, one of the countries hit particularly hard, we went above and beyond to support the physical and mental health of our staff. First step was to implement a Happy Calling system which involved our HR staff calling each employee every four to five days to check on their well-being and ensure that they and their families are safe and well looked after. This system allowed us to help employees from the privacy of their homes by accepting all questions and requests confidentially.

For global employees working from home, we wanted them to stay connected and collaborate as a team. To foster this, we hosted various online group activities including remote yoga classes, virtual lunches, happy hours and online cooking lessons for the whole family. We implemented various new programs because of our firm belief in the importance of human connections among employees. We have faith that these activities help our employees take on one of the most difficult times in modern history.
Our health and well-being initiatives are not entirely new as we have been carrying out such activities for some time. These activities were already in place to cultivate growth among employees all around the world, regardless of their location. As a purpose- and principle-oriented company, LG’s people management philosophy pursues personal and professional growth in every single aspect, including health and well-being.

As the global head of HR at LG, my focus has always been on supporting LG Electronics and its talented workers and preparing them for the future by transforming the way we work together, nurturing the talent and capabilities of our people so that we may succeed and grow together in a fast, innovative and highly competitive market.
The pandemic showed us the importance of this goal in all its clarity.

TV model OLED65B6P purchased in mid-2017.
      TV software version: 05.60.06
      Web OS: 3.4.0-5706 (dreadlocks-digya)
This is supposed to be a smart TV, it’s only 4 years old and already it can’t take advantage of recent/new features in applications such as Hulu Live TV and cloud DVR. As a result we can either settle for the older basic Hulu app which doesn’t support Hulu live TV or Hulu cloud DVR, features added by Hulu a year ago when the TV was only 3 years old. The work around is viewing through a separate appliance attached to the TV (like Roku or Fire TV Stick) or broadcasting to the TV from a smart phone or other mobile device, both which add another link in the chain connecting the signal source to the TV, and which introduce audio lagging video.
Why isn’t LG supporting a very expensive “smart” TV that is less than 4 years old by updating the Web OS?
We also own another LG TV, model 32LJ550B-UA, which supports the latest Hulu app with Live TV and cloud DVR. That set was purchased in 2018. Why can’t the same software version and integrated Web OS be applied to our primary viewing TV above? This second set shows:
      TV software version: 06.00.04
      Web OS: 3.9.0-63004 (dreadlocks2-dudhwa)

My Lg TV which has the smart functions and magic remote is playing up.
I often use web browser or you tube or similar apps to watch videos etc.
Recently however, it keeps crashing and displays a message to the effect that the memory in the app is low or it need to close to free up more memory?
My TV is less then 2 years old and is doing this. I love the telly and the smart features especially the web browser function, however this recent issue is making me think about the longevity of such LG smart TVs and whether I should've spent a few hundred more and got another telly.

Please can someone advise what I can do to fix this as it takes away the whole point of smart TV.
      Thanks

LG Electronics’ SELF-LIT campaign kicks off with a collaboration with Italian luxury brand BVLGARI for its exhibition in Seoul, BVLGARI Colors. Established in Rome in 1884, BVLGARI is revered worldwide for its exclusive collections of watches, fragrances and accessories. But arguably it is jewelry that the design house is best known for. Featuring beautiful, precision-cut gemstones, precious metals of the highest grade and BVLGARI’s iconic, bold style, the prestige pieces are a gorgeous interplay of colors and textures.

For a work of art to truly be appreciated, it must be presented in the exact color or effect the creator intended. LG’s self-lit OLED technology has been deemed by BVLGARI as the only display capable of capturing the vibrancy and exquisite detail of the brand’s jewelry in all its glory. With their ability to convey immaculate color reproduction and infinite contrast, the self-lit pixels deliver exceptionally lifelike colors as well as deep blacks and a contrast ratio that provides an incredible sense of weight and three-dimensionality.

To truly showcase the mesmerizing beauty and variety of BVLGARI’s masterpieces, intriguing digital works of art by top Korean artists are displayed alongside the jewelry on LG self-lit based OLED screens. Divided into four themes titled Red, Blue, Green and Multicolored, the exhibition promises to offer an exhilarating experience that combines the best of traditional craftsmanship and the epitome of technological innovation from LG and BVLGARI, the two masters of colors.

BVLGARI Colors is the first in LG’s SELF-LIT Art project series of global exhibits celebrating the heritage and history of OLED technology. LG will again partner with BVLGARI in Milan to turn premium shopping destinations including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and BVLGARI’s flagship Serpenti Gallery in Rome into SELF-LIT Streets during Milan Design Week.

What’s more, LG’s SELF-LIT Museum will see LG’s stunning OLED TVs displaying art at the world’s best-known museums while SELF-LIT Masterpiece will focus on the creativity of contemporary artists at renowned international art galleries. The self-lit technology of LG’s next-generation TVs boasts the accuracy and the color palette required to convey artists’ intentions without any compromise. Back in Seoul at the end of the year, LG’s SELF-LIT Bridge project will express the unique value of LG OLED and LG’s determination to bring consumers the best viewing experiences possible.
It’s rare for a technology to be called a work of art and yet, there is perhaps no better way to describe LG OLED. Stay tuned to see how LG OLED continues to redefine the definition of art in a way no other technology can.
