I've been waiting for the HBO app to appear on the list for a while now.  I figured it was a licensing issue and would clear once ROKU and Fire were resolved.  When that was done.  Then I Youtube searched and found a video that had the HBO Max app available outside the US

.  Any thoughts how to get HBO Max in the US or to communicate directly with WEBOS?  Thanks to all in advance.

I am on my third LG big screen since 2017...all excellent, especially the new 77" OLED-CX.  NONE allow the HBO MAX app (nor HBO GO, etc. previously).  So, I purchased a 4K Dolby Vision Firestick (for HBO GO in January 2019). Worked well. Then, HBO says, "No GO, only MAX."  Firestick says, "No GO for MAX." WTF? After chatting with HBO customer service for nearly an hour, we realize there are "corporate complications." With MAX struggling to launch, Firestick was allowed to keep GO going until they could handle MAX. In the meantime, I still wanted MAX and all the extras for the same price as GO. So, I choked hard and purchased an AppleTV 4K 8GB Dolby Vision unit. I hate Apple, but, I have got to admit, it is sweeter and smoother than the Firestick, with a much more elegant interface. Both units want to sell you shit, but you can mentally filter that out.  I watch on the AppleTV (you get the AppleTV+ streaming service free for a year...Ted Lasso is FUN! - other good shows, too). Of course, six months after buying the Apple, Amazon worked out things with HBO/Warner and now the Firestick accommodates the MAX app. I still prefer the Apple experience (and I wish I didn't).

Note: I have ALL the streaming services and HBO is still the king of the premium TV series. However, all those great legacy shows (available both a cable subscription (ick) and from MAX (GO had 'em, too) are in HD - 5.1 ONLY. Fine looking and sounding, but old news. With HBO MAX, they are taking it to the MAX - new movies and shows are in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Compressed, yes, but it shan't be too long before we get uncompressed streams (maybe at a higher price). If you have a system like mine (13 discreet audio channels/amps/speakers), properly placed and set-up...with uncompressed DV & DA, no current movie theatre competes, as they have to entertain hundreds of guests, compromising their systems. I have seen hundreds of films on a real IMAX (Irvine/LA) and full-blown Dolby Theatre (best all-around - IMAX* has harsh, Klipsch-like horns, poorly placed.). They just can't compete with an OLED Big Screen and high-end home audio.

Thus, if you really want HBO MAX (and you won't regret it), and you can afford the AppleTV, get it. Else, wait until the next Prime Day (if you have Amazon Prime), and get the 4K DV Firestick on the cheap.

*Visually, films shot in IMAX 70 mm on IMAX cameras (especially 3D like Polar Express), are second to none (Nolan had his own techs set-up and run Dunkirk on the Irvine, CA IMAX - OMG!)

+1 to topic,  along with other services as they spin up (or change names)!

You don't want to be on this list:

1) Edsel

2) Betamax

3) HD discs

4) LG WebOS TVs w/o many popular streaming services

Company’s Innovative Solution Offers High Energy Efficiency, Reliable Performance
and Intelligent Control for Commercial HVAC Applications

SEOUL, July 21, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is expanding the global availability of its latest air-cooled Inverter Scroll Chiller, a next-generation heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) solution that supports the worldwide shift toward low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants and sustainable technologies. The new model adopts R32 refrigerant, which has a GWP approximately 70 percent lower than R410A.
Designed as an inverter-driven heat pump system, the chiller delivers both chilled and hot water, making it suitable for mid-sized commercial buildings requiring reliable thermal management throughout the year.
      High Energy Efficiency
The new Inverter Scroll Chiller provides exceptional energy efficiency under a variety of operating conditions. Powered by LG’s All-Inverter compressor, which operates across a wide frequency range (30Hz to 120Hz), it offers high performance and reduced energy consumption even under partial load.
LG’s proprietary HiPOR (High Pressure Oil Return) system enhances compressor efficiency by returning oil directly into the compression chamber, significantly reducing energy loss. As a result, the unit achieves an Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) of up to 5.9.1 Select models also feature heat exchangers optimized for a broad water outlet temperature range, from -10 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, offering flexibility for diverse applications.
      High Reliability for Year-Round Operation
The chiller is built to support dependable performance across various seasons and climates. With twin All-Inverter compressors and vapor injection technology, the system maintains stable heating capacity even in extreme cold, modulating down to 20 percent load. In high ambient conditions, a refrigerant-cooled heat sink helps maintain operation at up to 52 degrees Celsius, offering a potential advantage over conventional air-cooled systems.
To support uninterrupted operation under demanding conditions, the system includes features such as compressor backup, intelligent control logic and sequential defrost. It also supports hot water output up to 60 degrees Celsius, helping suppress Legionella bacteria growth and contributing to hygienic operation in facilities such as spas, hotels and hospitals. For added durability in coastal or humid regions, the heat exchanger is treated with LG’s corrosion-resistant Black Fin coating.
      Comprehensive and Resilient Control System
The chiller supports adaptable control options based on project size:
Small installations can use an intuitive 5-inch Human Machine Interface (HMI) touch panel for on-site control, with remote installation supported up to 500 meters. Mid-sized projects benefit from LG’s ACP and AC Smart controllers, which support up to 10 units with features such as scheduling, input/output linkage and error tracking. Larger applications are supported by the LG Building Energy Control (BECON) CPM platform, which can coordinate up to 30 chillers and manage auxiliary devices like pumps, valves and sensors to improve overall system efficiency. An integrated energy-saving algorithm helps reduce power consumption by up to 10 percent,2 while an auto-recovery feature restores previous settings after a power outage to help minimize downtime. Features such as compressor backup and sequential defrost contribute to continuous operation during maintenance. The chiller also operates at a low noise level of 68dB, with a Silent Operation mode available for quieter performance during off-peak hours.
Following initial launches in North America, Europe and South Korea, LG is continuing to expand the availability of the Inverter Scroll Chiller globally in 2025. One notable installation at Garden Grove Elementary School in Winter Haven, Florida, replaced an aging 60-ton unit with three LG Inverter Scroll Chillers. The school has since seen an 18 percent reduction in energy consumption along with quieter operation – an important factor in its residential setting.
“LG’s latest Inverter Scroll Chiller is designed to deliver high energy efficiency and flexible system management, allowing customers to meet real-world HVAC demands with confidence,” said James Lee, president of the LG ES Company. “We remain committed to providing high-performance, reliable solutions that offer long-term value while contributing to a more energy-efficient and sustainable future.”

Via the ThinQ app, users can apply up to 170,000 color combinations to the refrigerators’ color-changing LED door panels to create a different look and feel in the kitchen. In addition, the company’s innovative refrigerators come equipped with a Bluetooth speaker, enabling users to play songs and podcasts from their favorite streaming apps. Bringing a fun, dance-party vibe to the kitchen, the refrigerators’ LED lighting can even pulse in sync with the music’s beat.* The Color Alarm feature further enhances interaction, communicating with users by making the LED door panels blink or glow brighter in specific situations.
“It’s an honor to host such a unique and enjoyable event on ‘the world’s most beautiful avenue’, and to showcase our innovative, customizable InstaView refrigerators with MoodUP to a French audience,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.

      Hi all
Sorry if this post is a double up, my previous question appears lost!
We have a LGB7v bought in the UK but we've moved to New Zealand. Is there a way for me to get access to NZ based apps? I've tried to change the "Location" but there's no Asia or Oceania option. I selected "Other" and all it did remove BBC iPlayer and UK apps from viewing but I also (annoyingly) had to review and change the display settings for each source again. Regardless, it doesn't seem to have helped me anyway.
Is there a way I get NZ apps and ensure my TV remains up to date with the correct firmware, etc.
      Many thanks
      Jay

      Dear customer care,
I had buy LG smart tv in which LG store the sony liv app was not available to install. When search on internet many people are writing via mail, twitter regarding this problem.    Many of your competitors like Android, Tizen launch there app on os platform. Still the people like me are waiting for sony liv app on LG store platform.   I know from year 2018 many of people's was asking this question and your reply was only that "our team are working on that" means that your technical team doesn't take customer complaints seriously.   As I do not know writing this complaints really affect the technical team of Yours. Pleae don't blame sony or platform for this.  As an responsible corporate you and sony should mutually work on this issue.   Your quick action is highly appreciated in this regard.   Regards, Dinesh.
