Can I set default speaker to optical and not internal speaker?

Question

Posted

I have a LG OLED C9 and use a soundbar with optical. If I use Bluetooth headphones and terminate the connection, the webOS always jumps back to internal speakers, which I don't use. Is there any way to set it to automatically return the soundbar (optical)?

My sound settings is only "optical" not "optical and internal speakers", so I don't unterstand why he jumps back to "internal speakers". When I start my TV the soundbar powered on with optical and all working fine. When I connect my BT headphones, all working fine with BT headphones, but after disconnect BT the TV jump back to internal speakers, not optical.

If I play an MKV video from a USB drive that contains multiple subtitle tracks with correct language tags, will webOS automatically select the appropriate subtitles, for example based on the TV interface language or the country where the TV is being used? Or it will just select first one/makred as fefault?

I've had Universal Control via the smart remote sucessfully controlling the audio (volume) for my LG OLED 48C1LB tv via my Sherwood RD-6118R amp for a while now; But following a power cut, the remote no longer controls the amp/tv volume?
The audio IS still being played through the amp using the optical OUT/IN but I have no control of the volume
I've removed and re-initialised the settings for this amp in Universal Control Settings but following the "success" message, the remote does not control the volume on the amp/tv.
      What am I missing?

TV is a week old and the internal speaker has stopped working when in HDMI ARC + internal speaker sound output mode. The internal speaker itself works fine when in “internal speaker” sound output mode. I’ve checked all the settings that I can and can’t find anything that would correct this issue.

I've update 2 of my LG Digital signage TVs (Model 65UH5J-HP) to the latest firmware (3.74.00). Before updating I was able to access the admin menu using "000000" as the default PWD. After updating, I am no longer able to use that default password to access the admin menu. It's giving me a message saying "Incorrect password (Same number repeated). Please try again"
      I tried to usual suspects:
      123456
      654321
      111111
      666666
No bueno  - anyone got any insights?  LG corporate support was unable to help either.

Apparently, the LG model OLED55CSPUA has an issue with the external device power on/off control. I can configure the IR Bose soundbar well enough, as setup sequence tests it good to control soundbar power. but after exiting the setup, when i press the external device power button on the remote, the TV just wants to cycle through the setup again.  It doesn't toggle soundbar power, just cycles back to the setup.   i have tried factory settings reset and verified that there are no other devices on the TV.
