Unfortunately I doubt that HOTSTAR the creators of the webOS app actually frequent this User-to-User forum, so you would be better off contacting their customer support.

Having the same problem, Contacted Hot star they said that its not an issue from their end but in the TV manufacturer's end... Most of the content I intend to watch returns me this error PL 6006 NAS, Uh,oh, The platform does not seem to be best suited for playback of this content.

Tried to find a solution from Multiple places, Checked media settings of my router, My time and location on the TV and everything but still this issue persists.

I have the same problem. Their 1800 number doesn't work as the contact centre is closed due to covid. Chat is managed by a bottle and no resolution so far. We're you able to get this issue fixed? I think we need to flood them in Twitter with complaints

I don't get anything under connection settings except for the wifi connection details, which has none of the aforementioned things.

First try connecting with your mobile hotspot and see if you're able to view your respective hotstar content.

If the Mobile hotspot worked, then definitely you'd have to change your DNS settings, for which you'd have to follow below steps:

TV settings > Connection > Wi-Fi Connection > Advanced Wi-Fi Settings > Edit > DNS server = 8.8.8.8

Change DNS IP on Your TV

link hidden, please login to view

If Hotstar works fine on mobile data, you can change DNS IP on your TV, as given below. Note that steps may vary based on the make and model.

  1. Navigate to the Wifi menu on your Smart TV.
  2. Ensure that you’re connected to your home Wifi network.
  3. Go to ‘Advanced Wifi Settings’ or ‘Advanced Options.’
  4. Scroll down to “IP” and set it to Static.
  5. Then, change the DNS 1 servers to 8.8.8.8

The international content on JioCinema and Hotstar apps are not playing. No issues with Indian content in Hindi or other regional languages. But English, Korean, and Japanese content are not playing. Specifically, I want to play Disney content on Hotstar and HBO content on JioCinema App.
I tried resetting all configurations and reinstalling the applications and re-logging into the apps. Still, the issue persists. I tried switching off the TV and tried pressing the power button for complete discharge and rebooting my router, but the same issue persists.
**I found a workaround though, changing the wifi network or using a mobile hotspot on TV and then all content plays well even if I revert to my primary Airtel wifi, It still plays. but the next day the same issue continues.
It's an overhead to switch the wifi every time I want to watch Hollywood titles. Certainly, it's not the experience I want with a TV of a hefty price tag. No other devices (Mac, ios, android, windows, Android TV) have this problem. Also, it's not the wifi issue, as I can watch the same titles on other devices. The LG TV also doesn't have the capability to remember a few WiFi networks to ease this workaround of switching networks.
Alas, Nobody informed me about this issue earlier while making the purchase. Now such pricey TVs shouldn't have these issues at all. Kindly let me know If there is a permanent fix for this issue.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      Hello,
A few years ago I bought a 43" LG Model 43UK6200PUA, manufactured in 2018. I'm from Canada but I purchased this TV in the US. It was a store demo unit on for a great price. I took it home to Canada, set the location to Canada and setup up in our bedroom.  It has been working fine with our Fiber TV service as well as Netflix, Amazon etc. We also to have a 60" LG TV in the living room which was purchased in Canada. This TV is similar in age to the one in the bedroom. Recently I started watching the LG channels on the living room  TV. I hadn't really paid much attention to them before but now I enjoy them. My problem is that the LG channels do not work on the bedroom TV. I suspect because it was purchased in the US but located in Canada. With the location set to Canada the LG channel guide populates and shows what's on however when I select a program I get the following message.
LG Channels can't be serviced if a user changes 'LG Service Country' from Settings. In order to use LG Channels service, please restore 'LG Service Country' to its condition of original purchase
So if I change the location to the US I get this message.
Sorry, LG Channels is not available in your location. Please set your location to your current location in the settings. If you are in the service area, please visit www.lgappstv.com for help.
As you can see the messages sort of contradict each other also the website mentioned www.lgappstv.com is not working. I suspect that the location for this TV is set to the US at some deeper level. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
