Sound output shortcut

Question

I have an old generation web os 4k tv (55UBxxxx) it is very cumbersome to change the sound out from TV speaker to Optical in this TV, i was very happy when I got the new update with shortcuts settings, but only to be disappointed to see that sound output is not included. Insted, there are a lot of totally waste settings like sound mode and aspect ratio which nobody is ever going to use. Kindly add sound output to the shortcut settings, which will be very useful for people like me who uses home theatre systems with TV

thank you,

Ajith

You can better post this request on the LG website. This is a user to user forum with no LG employees. You can see this at the top of the page:

My LG TV keeps nagging me to update to 04.71.25.  Has anyone updated to this version without any trouble.  When searching the WEB I only see complaints about 04.71.25 so I'm worried about upgrading. Most notable is the complaint about more pixelation particularly in the logos. I am hopeful that many have updated and did not notice any ill effects at all.
      Thank you

It is now 2020, and the WebOS browser in LG Smart TVs (which I believe is Chromium-based) is still massively out of date and doesn't work properly with a ton of websites!
The main problem is actually very simple. The browser doesn't support EMCAScript 2015 or ES6.
Basically, translated from nerd speak, it doesn't work properly with modern code using new features created since 2015, so any newer websites will break unless they've been written to be compatible with ancient browsers and OSes.
This should not be the case on a TV made in the current year. It should be running an up-to-date web browser, if not for convenience, then for SECURITY reasons as well!
