GOT THIS NEW TV FOR CHRISTMAS AND HERE IT'S FEBRUARY AND I STILL DON'T HAVE IT SET UP, I WAS TOLD IT WOULD WORK EXACTLY THE WAY A ROKU TV WORKS, BUT I SET IT UP WITH AL MY INTERNET AND MODEM INFORMATION AND IT STILL DON'T WORK LIKE MY ROKU TV I HAVE ALREADY, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP I WANT TO WATCH MY NEW TV, THANK YOU

Hi MaryAnn,

Sadly your LG TV is never going to work exactly like a ROKU device as while they are both capable of streaming media are two completely different devices with disparate interfaces and programming.  If you can let the forum know which model of TV you have and the problems you are experiencing the users will try and help you get to the stage where you are able to enjoy your purchase.

THE MODEL OF MY TV IS:   32LK540BPUA  EVERYTHING IS WRONG, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SET IT UP, LIKE I SAID WHEN I GOT MY TV FOR CHRISTMAS I CALLED WHERE IT WAS BOUGHT AND THEY SAID IT WORKED LIKE A ROKU, I HAVE A ROKU AND BELIEVE ME IT CERTAINLY DON'T WORK LIKE A ROKU, I DIDN'T WANT TO TELL MY FAMILY TO SEND IT BACK, BUT I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO WATCH IT, AT THIS RATE NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO TO MAKE IT DO ANYTHING I'M NEVER GOING TO BE ABLE TO WATCH IT.

Hi Maryann,

When the store you purchased the TV from tells you it is like a ROKU I am sure they only mean that it can provide streaming services in much the same way, the actual setup and day-to-day usage are going to be completely different. 

How far have you got with setting up the TV, can you even watch programmes via your aerial/dish yet?
