Have you tried going to the webOS store and uninstalling, then reinstalling the app? is it all apps or just some? It might be a hard drive issue. If it's still under warranty that would be covered.

On October 29, 2025, LG Taiwan unveiled the full LG PuriCare Air Care lineup to 45 members of the media, offering an exclusive first look at new innovations that reinforce LG’s standing as the No.1 air purifier and No.1 inverter dehumidifier brand in Taiwan.
Under the theme “In Tune With Your Air, In Care of Your Life,” the launch event showcased how we combine technology and empathy to deliver a more holistic approach to air care for every member of the household.

The event began with remarks from Jeong Yeon-kwan, managing director of LG Taiwan, who highlighted our ongoing commitment to innovation driven by deep consumer understanding.
This was followed by Lee Dong-hyuk, chief engineer of LG’s Air Care R&D Department, who shared insights into proprietary purification technologies, the evolution of AI sensing and human-centered design. He detailed how the latest PuriCare products deliver enhanced performance, intelligence and emotional value to everyday living.

A Spotlight Moment: Cat Living Showcase & Global Recognition
The centerpiece of the day – especially for animal lovers – was the “Cat Living Showcase,” featuring the LG PuriCare AeroCatTower, demonstrated with the help of several curious feline guests.

As a leading endorser of AeroCatTower, Dr. Lin Tzu-Hsuan – Asia’s first veterinarian certified by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) – presented scientific insights into feline behavior and environmental sensitivity. Dr. Lin’s expertise validated the AeroCatTower’s design philosophy that cares for the well-being of cats and other companion animals.
During the demonstration, LG Taiwan proudly announced that TIME Magazine named the AeroCatTower among the Best Inventions of 2025 – global recognition that celebrates its innovative integration of air purification and pet-friendly functionality.

Dr. Lin discussed the impact of airflow, sound and scent on a cat’s emotional state, expertly analyzing the distinctive product’s behavioral and academic rationale. This blend of expert commentary and live interaction not only added scientific credibility but also ensured an engaging experience that deeply resonated with pet owners.
      Four Immersive Experience Zones
The venue showcased dedicated lifestyle areas where visitors could experience the PuriCare innovations firsthand:
Cat Living Zone – Human-Pet Harmony
Showcasing the world’s first air purifier designed specifically for cats, the AeroCatTower drew significant attention. Displayed in a cozy living environment, it demonstrated how advanced technology supports both cleaner air and happier animals.

AI Living Zone – Intelligent Air Care
Introducing the PuriCare AeroSpeaker and PuriCare AeroBooster to Taiwan, this zone demonstrated AI sensing technology that optimizes purification performance and energy efficiency. Visitors also experienced sound, light and intuitive control features engineered to enrich everyday life.

Dehumidifier Zone – The Power of LG Dual Inverter
This area highlighted the PuriCare Dual Inverter Dehumidifier through an immersive wall installation visualizing the mechanics of the dual inverter compressor. Transparent panels and dynamic lighting showcased how the latest system boosts performance by 20 percent compared to its predecessor while delivering superior dehumidification.

Full PuriCare Lineup Zone – An Air Solution for Every Home
The complete PuriCare Air Care collection was presented, enabling visitors to explore solutions for diverse home environments – from compact city apartments to spacious family residences – balancing powerful performance, energy efficiency and modern design.

By launching the world’s first air purifier designed for cats and collaborating with Asia’s foremost animal behavior expert, LG Taiwan expanded beyond traditional tech and lifestyle audiences to embrace pet families – an increasingly important segment of Taiwanese households.
Guided by “In Tune With Your Air, In Care of Your Life,” we are committed to shaping air care experiences that go beyond simply cleaning the air. We believe our products should support emotional comfort, well-being and harmony for everyone in the home – including those with four legs and a tail.

What’s it like to live on Rebbenesøya – a remote Norwegian island more than 450 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle?
For Ann Eileen Lennert, an environmental anthropologist deeply passionate about nature, it’s both her sanctuary and workplace. There, she leads a kelp restoration project that explores the bonds between humans and the sea, finding purpose and peace along the way. Although her work often takes her far from her family, Ann has discovered that true connections can thrive – even across great distances.
Through a short documentary-style brand film, Ann’s story takes center stage in LG’s latest campaign, Radio Optimism, which highlights the meaning of genuine connections beyond superficial interactions in an era of growing disconnection.
We sat down with Ann to hear more about her life, her outlook and what “connectedness” truly means.
      Q. It’s wonderful to meet you! Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I’m an environmental anthropologist studying how people connect and interact with nature – how that bond can inspire conservation, restoration and a shared sense of responsibility. That we care. My work often takes me to remote areas, like Rebbenesøya, where building community and motivation through these efforts is at the heart of what I do.
      Q. LG’s Radio Optimism campaign focuses on connectedness. What drew you to this project?

At first, I thought of “connectedness” simply as staying close to my family while being physically apart. But over time, the idea expanded for me. It includes our connection to nature, to places and to one another.
That’s why the campaign felt so natural to me – it goes beyond superficial interactions and speaks to something much deeper. I honestly didn’t expect this emotional depth from a brand I typically associate with electronics. It was a pleasant and meaningful surprise.
      Q. What do you value most in your relationships? What makes a connection truly meaningful, especially when time together is limited?
For me, nothing compares to face-to-face interactions – you can read body language, feel someone’s energy and connect on a deeper level.
I treasure relationships where, even after a long time apart, it feels like no time has passed once we’re together. That’s a real connection.
Family is especially important. Ours is small, and we live far from relatives, so we work hard to stay close, honest and emotionally present despite the distance.

      Q. Being away from your children must be challenging. How do you stay connected with them?
It is hard, of course. But I deeply value the time we do spend together and try to keep our connection strong, even when we’re apart.
I involve my children in my work – whether that’s fieldwork, sailing or even free diving. Sharing these experiences helps us stay in sync and grow closer, even when I am away.
One of my favorite moments in the LG film was hearing the personalized song my children helped create through Radio Optimism. They mentioned many kind things of how they view me, not to mention my “embarrassing llama sweater” and “kelp earrings” – it was so sweet and funny, and a real reflection of how close we are as a family.
      Q. Does music play a big role in your life?
Absolutely! Music sets the tone for our moods and memories. We have special playlists for things like summer holidays, and I often start my day with a happy song.
It’s amazing how a song can instantly transport you back to a specific moment in time and reconnect you to memories.
      Q. If you could create a personalized Radio Optimism song for someone, who would it be?
I’d love to create one for my mother. She’s a big music lover and is going through a tough time right now. A song would be a heartfelt way to support and connect with her.
I’d also make one for my children – something playful about our shared memories, maybe even teasing them a little about who should take out the trash or empty the dishwasher. I believe in celebrating small, joyful moments however we can.
      Q. Your optimism really shines through when you talk about your work and family. How do you nurture it?
I’ve been called a “ray of optimism”, and I think it comes from spending time in nature – and sharing those moments with my family.
Nature teaches you perspective, humility and awe. And living in a close-knit community like Rebbenesøya helps too. My neighbors are kind, and there’s a deep sense of mutual care. We look out for one another.
Even on difficult days, I look for what I call a “positive prize” – something small to lift me up, whether it’s cooking, listening to music or simply going for a walk.

      Q. What’s next for you? Any projects or plans you’re excited about?
I want to continue exploring how connecting with nature and participating in citizen science activities can change people’s perceptions and care towards the environment. One of my biggest dreams is to establish underwater gardens, inspired by Korea’s Haenyeo! Learning from their wisdom and exploring what might be possible even in places like the Arctic Circle would be incredibly exciting.
This kind of work fuels me. It’s all about rebuilding our bonds and creating meaningful connections: with people, with nature and with a common goal. I believe this can create new values, experiences and memories, and I want our children and grandchildren to have these memories and connections too. That’s where I find happiness and motivation.
Life’s Good when we’re connected with a song.

Last week, LG headed to Munich, Germany, to take part in IAA Mobility 2023 – one of the world’s largest mobility events. Presenting at IAA Mobility for the first time, the company shared its vision for the in-vehicle experience of the future and proposed a highly advanced mobility ecosystem that will bring new value to the mobility industry and customers.

The nexus of LG’s auto-focused innovations, the LG Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Company has built a solid reputation over its ten years of existence, making a name for itself in five key areas of vehicle-related technologies: head units, displays, connectivity, ADAS and software.
The company is determined to improve the user experience in the vehicle space, and has the advantage of being able to draw on decades of insight from its consumer electronics businesses. LG is already enhancing the in-vehicle experience with breakthroughs including its digital cockpit technology, which boosts convenience and safety with its interactive displays and intuitive controls. The company is also promoting safety with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) integrated features such as seamless smartphone connection and voice recognition; enabling drivers to use their devices without taking their eyes, or their focus, off the road.

To see what the future mobility experience envisioned by LG looks like, and explore the unprecedented level of personalization it is set to offer, check out the Mobility Labworks Series, accessible via LG’s official website and social media channels.
Themed Experience Future Mobility Your Way, LG’s Mobility Labworks Series introduces a range of cutting-edge technology concepts with the potential to reshape the way people experience travel. The series includes two distinct digital cockpit concepts – Alpha and Beta, along with three display kiosk concepts – Min & Max Display, Pop & Fold Display and Flex & Slide Display.

With the Min & Max Display, users get to adjust the size of the in-car display to suit their preferences. At any time, they can choose whether they want Minimum Display mode where essential driving information is provided, or Maximum display mode where full range of real-time information is available via a Pillar to Pillar P-OLED screen. Helping users make the most of their cabin space, the Pop & Fold Display only pops out when needed – storing neatly away for a more spacious interior when not in use. Lastly, the Flex & Slide Display offers increased flexibility as it can change its shape, curving and flexing to smoothly shift from a regular screen into a responsive touch interface.
The Mobility Labworks Series highlights LG’s aim to provide innovative technologies, in collaboration with carmakers, that help create better customer experiences for end-users. A trusted partner to global automobile brands, LG continues to leverage its advanced technological capabilities to supply its customers with high-performance, reliable products – delivered on time and completed to the highest standard possible.

In this installment of On the Job, we go inside LG Experience Informatics (EI) Task to look at how LG leverages data analysis to uncover hidden needs and create personalized customer experiences that improve everyday life

Hyper personalization is the new must. In this era, consumers are much more evolved in terms of their engagement with brands and are seeking products that can adapt to their individual needs and offer user experiences that suit their unique preferences and lifestyles. With LG Object Collection, which presents a range of chic, customizable living solutions that can elevate any home décor, and LG ThinQ UP Appliances, which allow users to select and add convenient, new features and functions, LG is at the forefront of the personalized appliance trend.

When creating personalized products or services, it is crucial to first discover customers’ unvoiced needs – and this is where data collection and analysis are so important for a lifestyle innovator like LG. To enhance its capabilities and efficiency in this area, the company established Experience Informatics (EI) Task, a dedicated unit that uses large-scale quantitative analysis to thoroughly assess a diverse range of customer experience data. EI Task is enabling LG to better predict future purchasing intentions and gain greater insight into the lifestyles and needs of its customers.
Recently, EI Task received a significant boost to its operations with the introduction of the Lifegraphy system which provides customer insights through customer-centric data structures and interpretation algorithms developed based on years of customer research experiences. Lifegraphy enables its users to comprehend customer experiences from multiple angles and flexibly explore customer needs by converting abstract concepts, including customer values and lifestyle, into numerical data.

Before the invention of Lifegraphy, the task of understanding customers and uncovering what they really want was handled by LG personnel proficient in data analysis and statistics. Unfortunately, the considerable time and effort required to complete their research made it difficult to keep up with fast-changing industry trends and customer tastes. Moreover, challenges in sharing and interpreting data collected by different divisions and projects brought further inefficiency to the overall process.
But now, thanks to the advent of the Lifegraphy system, any business unit or group within LG can accurately analyze customer data without requiring an expert team of analysts or statisticians to do so. As such, they can establish the initial design and marketing direction for new products much faster than before, meaning a shorter development period and more precise targeting of specific consumer segments. Another advantage of Lifegraphy is that, because it lessens the impact of personal opinions, the results it provides are more objective and, therefore, more reliable.

Lee Kun-woo, lead of LG EI Task
“The Lifegraphy system was designed based on a belief that, if data collected from extensive research become a tool and was used continuously by many people, it would contribute to developing products and services that offer better customer experiences,” said Lee Kun-woo, lead of EI Task.
Many experts involved in creating this efficient system faced numerous challenges and obstacles along the way. The biggest problem to solve was how to visually express the digitized, abstract concepts the system delivers in a way that any employee could easily understand.

Noh Eun-young, a specialist at LG EI Task
“There were people who insisted on providing the collected data as-is, but we spent much time and effort to persuade and explain to them the importance of presenting data in a way that actually helps LG employees understand target customers,” said Noh Eun-young, a specialist at LG EI Task. “No matter how much data we have, it is meaningless if we cannot interpret it accurately, and that’s exactly what Lifegraphy helps us do.”

LG’s newly introduced MoodUP refrigerator is an example of a successful product conceived with assistance from the Lifegraphy system and perfected by the talented designers at LG. The refrigerator boasts LED doors that can change color to match users’ moods or preferred decorating palettes – without the cost and hassle of having to physically replace the actual panels. Through the LG ThinQ app, users can choose from 22 colors for the upper door panel and 19 colors for the lower, and instantly apply their new selection whenever the mood takes them.
Thanks to the convenient, effective Lifegraphy system and the endeavors of those who designed and use it, LG is bringing exciting, new innovations to the home appliance space and taking the personalized customer experience to a whole new level.
