Hotstar app is available in both Android and ios. So that means is webos one which supports only few and t does not try to have major apps which are widely used.

Are indirectly saying we should not go for LG webos as most of the apps wont be available.

In the same way that there may be apps on webOS that are not available on Samsung Tizen just because something exists for one ecosystem does not mean that it will occur for all of them.  The best way to get webOS support is to continually push the content providers at the links provided.  Yes you can contact LG as well and they may, if you are lucky, liaise with the content providers to help them to produce an app for webOS, but LG themselves cannot necessarily produce an app without help from the content providers themselves.

LG Web OS is Poor Because SAMSUNG AND SONY Provide So many indian apps also Panasonic .

Apps :- SONYLIV , AIRTELTV , AIRTELXTREEM , LIVE TV FREE OPATION , JIO CINEMA , JIO TV , SO MANY APPS AVILABLE IN SAMSUNG AND SONY.

 

COMPARE TO LG VS SAMSNUNG VS SONY

NO1. SONY

NO.2 SAMSUNG

NO.3 OR 4 IS LG WEB OS

If you can do yourself a favour and don’t buy a smart tv buy an android Tv way much better and you add your own apps not this crap LG and their outdated crap webos my biggest mistake was to buy one never again

      International contents from JioCinema and Hotstar Apps are not playing on my new 48inch C4X OLED TV

      The international content on JioCinema and Hotstar apps are not playing. No issues with Indian content in Hindi or other regional languages. But English, Korean, and Japanese content are not playing. Specifically, I want to play Disney content on Hotstar and HBO content on JioCinema App. 
      I tried resetting all configurations and reinstalling the applications and re-logging into the apps. Still, the issue persists. I tried switching off the TV and tried pressing the power button for complete discharge and rebooting my router, but the same issue persists.
      **I found a workaround though, changing the wifi network or using a mobile hotspot on TV and then all content plays well even if I revert to my primary Airtel wifi, It still plays. but the next day the same issue continues.
      It's an overhead to switch the wifi every time I want to watch Hollywood titles. Certainly, it's not the experience I want with a TV of a hefty price tag. No other devices (Mac, ios, android, windows, Android TV) have this problem. Also, it's not the wifi issue, as I can watch the same titles on other devices. The LG TV also doesn't have the capability to remember a few WiFi networks to ease this workaround of switching networks.
      Alas, Nobody informed me about this issue earlier while making the purchase. Now such pricey TVs shouldn't have these issues at all. Kindly let me know If there is a permanent fix for this issue.

      Please take steps to include Airtel Xtream Play app in WebOS Content Store!
      In India everyone is using Airtel network and Xtream Play as a bundle recharge offer with it!
      LG TV is very good and technically advanced! For this mere reason of not having Airtel Xtream Play App, We Customers, need to switch over to other brands!
      So, it is mandatory and timely, for LG to make Xtream Play available in WebOS TV, otherwise you have to loose your trusted Customers like us!
         Please think twice and Consider!!!
