LG's webOS TV will retain 'Cards' navigation

We've known that LG is planning to resurrect webOS in a smart TV for some time, but today an anonymous source tells the Wall Street Journal that the company's interpretation of the OS will include its famous Cards interface, which served as inspiration for the multitasking system in Apple, Google, and Microsoft's mobile UIs. LG bought the defunct operating system, which debuted on the Palm Pre smartphone, from HP last February, and revealed a few details about its upcoming TV set earlier this month.

The webOS-powered TV will be announced at the CES trade show in January, and is set to run a 2.2GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, apps based on the webOS Enyo framework, and multitasking via the Cards interface. Although pricing and availability remains a mystery, LG says its smart TV will be "a gamechanger."

So besides the major mobile OS systems out there like iOS and Android, what is the competition for webOS...On the TV front Samsung has it's Tizen OS which is a direct competitor to LG's webOS on TVs it looks like. It will be interesting to see where this all goes. LG has a leg up and is out to market first, but it's early...

I am having an updated WebOS for my LG 55" UHD SMART TV. I am having problem with my Media Library refresh. The SmartShare app on the TV keeps showing all the Videos/Movies which no longer exist on my network. When I use Device Connector however, and select only the Plex Media then I see the available Movies correctly.

How to refresh or clear the Media Library on the TV... any help will be appreciated.

      Thanks.
      Rajeev.

      Hello

I have problem with my TV it's locked my premium content and i want to format TV to clean all register files but Factory Reset is just reset my setting when i want to watch my premium content it still locked.

I think it have two method to clear it

1.Format TV clean all register files and save just only system files likes when i just buy a new TV.
      Or
2.Go to this directory in TV and delete the register files 'file:///mnt/lg/flash/data/01.TIARA_No.9/icpLicense.dat' and Re-register again it's fine for me but i don't know the way to get into it.

If anyone know how to do method 1. or 2. or both Please Help ME...
