  1. You don't miss much. The thumb image is VERY bad on the LG. It's VERY pixelated.
  2. You guys make me LMFAO. I've never used other Smart TV OS before WebOS so I can't compare but tell you the true, I'm not impress. If you say WebOS is better than other OS then Smart TV have a way to go. WebOS make the simple TV function so difficult and slow. For example, change the Audio output. There is so many click before get to it. And there are wait for each click. I thought it's a brilliant idea for LG to put Bluetooth on the TV but I was disappointed it only work with LG products. Another thing is lack of apps. I'm glad that LG have the Amazon Video app so I don't need to use my Fire TV stick. But there is no HBO app. So, I don't have to use Amazon Fire TV to watch Amazon Videos, but, I have to use it to watch HBO. I may better off use FireTV stick to watch everything.
  3. Don't be disappointed. Flash is dying anyway. You smart phones also don't support Flash.
  4. Are you sure the screen saver is from the TV or from the netcast? I've never seen the screen saver come on on my TV. I don't use netcast but I have TV (WebOS 1) on all day with DirecTV. The screen save from DirectTV come on after 4 hours but never from the TV. You can verify using different source see if screen save kick in. If it doesn't then it's definitely from netcast.
  5. I use Serviio on Windows 7. Under "Library", I added all the local drive/folders where I keep my media files, select types (movie, pictures, music) and refresh. There, you can also add the patch to your NAS. Make sure the service is running on your PC (or your laptop). In LG TV (I have 49UB8500 with first generation of WebOS), go to SmartShare, select "Device", you should see Serviio with your PC/Laptop name with it. The WebOS implement is not as nice compared to other or even the old LG SmartTV Upgrade (ST600). The icons image quality is terrible.
  6. The default on subtitle is on your mkv file itself. You can use mvkmerge (MKVToolNix) to change default to no subtitle.
  7. The bad news is the old TV don't get to upgrade. I, as many others, got stuck with WebOS 1.0. I don't believe the 2015 TV's will get the 3.0 upgrade neither. TV companies are so bad at firmware upgrade. Why don't they just use AndroidTV. Let Google do all the development.
  8. Excellent! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
  9. It has always been inconvenience to change Sound Out on LG WebOS TV. The new firmware, 05.00.04, has added another step to get to the Sound Out menu. Is there a shortcut/hotkey to get to the Sound Out quicker?
  10. It's not working for my HTC One m9 neither. I'm very disappointed to WebOS or LG tv. The work around is to use ChromeCast.
  11. Yeah, only work with LG Bluetooth headphones is a problem. The LG headphone is so bad on power indicator. When you turn on, it tells you either "power high" or "power medium". There is no "power low". But then just when it's about to run out, it tells you "power is VERY low. charge now". You can't charge and use it that the same time. How about tell more useful power usage, like "power 40% full" and say it when you power off, so that I can charge it while not being used. For the TV, I agree with all the users above. I need to support standard 3rd party headphone. I previously owned a few bluetooth headphones but I had to purchased a stupid LG headphones in order to use it.
  12. I use Serviio on my Windows 7. It works fine for me.
  13. I found a section from online helps where it show the TV does support BT Headset under Home -> Sound -> Sound Out -> LG Sound Sync (Wireless). There you supposes to be able to pair up with BT headsets. However, the ones lists by LG are only the LG BT headsets. I tried with my LogiTech BT headsets but it couldn't pair up. This is really suck because it only works with LG headsets.
  14. Just got a new 49UB8500 and I have a few questions. I was able to program the remote to work with my DirecTV set top box. But when I send audio out to my stereo via Optical, can I program my Magic Remote to control the volume on my stereo? When changing audio output, I have to click on Home -> Settings -> Sound -> Sound out -> select. Is there a quicker way? When click Home, there are so many items in the bottom of the screen: Today, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu..... Is there a way to hide the ones I don't have? Does this TV work with Bluetooth headphones?
  15. RT @EarlyStartCNN: 'Deport @JustinBieber' petition reaches 100000+ signatures. Now White House has to respond: http://t.co/nIBZHYr57e http:…
