  2. LG OLED TV’s Perfect Blacks & Perfect Colors Capture the Master’s Vibrant Palette LG Brings the Frieze Art-viewing Experience to the Home With LG Gallery+ SEOUL, Sep. 3, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) presents “Park Seo‑Bo x LG OLED TV: Colors Drawn from Nature” at Frieze Seoul 2025 (September 3–6), marking the company’s fourth year as Headline Partner. In collaboration with the PARKSEOBO FOUNDATION, LG OLED TV celebrates one of Korea’s most revered contemporary artists by faithfully expressing his distinctive color philosophy through the unmatched precision of LG’s self-lit OLED technology. Starting this year, LG also expands the Frieze art fair experience to LG TV owners through LG Gallery+, a personal curation service that allows users to display artwork on their TV screens like an at-home gallery. A Master of Nature’s Colors Reimagined by LG OLED TV The “Park Seo‑Bo X LG OLED TV: Colors Drawn from Nature” exhibition showcases Park Seo-Bo’s nature-inspired colors on a digital canvas. It flows from his meditative black and white colors – black drawn from the soot of an old kitchen hearth, white evoked from the stillness and quiet of Korean hanji – to vibrant colors borrowed from nature – the yellow of Jeju’s canola, the pink of azalea, the green of spring leaves and the deep orange of ripe persimmon. With self-lit pixels and perfect blacks, LG OLED TVs capture the quiet depth and nuance of Park Seo-Bo’s work to bring his meditative colors to life in their truest form. “Park Seo-Bo believed that nature speaks in colors beyond words,” said Park Seung-ho, chairperson of the PARKSEOBO FOUNDATION and son of the artist. “This exhibition offers a new perspective on his works, inviting viewers not merely to observe, but to engage more deeply as participants in the experience.” At the center of the exhibition, a T-shaped installation featuring LG’s latest OLED evo G5 and M5 TVs presents a digitally reimagined artwork by Je Baak, art professor at Seoul National University. This digitalized artwork celebrates the pivotal moment for Park Seo-Bo when a walk under the overwhelmingly red autumn leaves struck him as both awe-inspiring and healing. In efforts to share the master’s enlightenment through nature’s breathtaking colors, Baak collaborated with AI to collect the different hues of autumn-leaf red found in captured moments by people all around the world. The result is a monument of shared visual experience that encapsulates autumn leaves seen through the eyes of everyone and the artist himself. Bringing Frieze and Park Seo-Bo’s Artwork to the Home LG is bringing the Frieze art fair experience into the homes of art enthusiasts through its new LG Gallery+ app on the LG webOS platform. More than 100 select artworks from Frieze Seoul including works by Park Seo-Bo will be available for free viewing on LG Gallery+ for a certain time after the fair. LG TV owners who could not experience Frieze Seoul first-hand can now enjoy a seamless and extended viewing experience in the form of a home gallery with LG Gallery+. “We hope LG OLED, with its ability to render deep blacks and vibrant colors with exceptional accuracy, honors the legacy of Park Seo-Bo’s colors borrowed from nature,” said Kate Oh, head of Experiential Marketing at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “By collaborating with world-renowned art partners such as Frieze, the Guggenheim and MMCA, LG OLED continues to create new value in art marketing, expanding the intersection of art and technology in major cities around the world including Seoul, London, New York and LA.” LG OLED TVs continue to champion artists and cultural institutions at the intersection of art and technology, creating new ways to experience creativity in the digital age. 5. Beneath the azure waters of the Mediterranean lies one of nature’s oldest living treasures: the Posidonia oceanica meadows. Known as the “lungs of the sea,” these underwater forests capture carbon, protect coastlines and provide a home for marine life. Inspired by their resilience, LG Spain has launched Smart Green Seas, another chapter of its Smart Green Movement. The mission? To bring technology, community and science together to restore fragile marine ecosystems and create a lasting positive impact. As 2024 wrapped up, LG Spain celebrated a milestone in environmental action. In partnership with the Vellmarí Association, the Smart Green Seas team restored 600 square meters of seagrass meadows between Ibiza and Formentera – planting 15,510 Posidonia shoots, exceeding the original target by 155 percent. The work was made possible thanks to more than 30 dedicated local divers who carried out over 500 dives. Their efforts resulted in a 75 percent survival rate for the new plants – a strong start toward building healthier seas. Smart Green Seas marks the evolution of LG Spain’s Sustainability 2.0 strategy. After years of focusing on reforestation on land, the Smart Green Movement is now taking action beneath the waves. Led by National Geographic explorer and marine biologist Manu San Félix, the project has set up an underwater nursery where seeds collected from nearby beaches are carefully germinated and replanted using a low-impact, scalable method. The goal: help the ocean thrive and regain its natural balance. This initiative also supports the United Nations’ goal of restoring 30 percent of degraded marine ecosystems by 2030. The Posidonia meadows in the Balearic Islands – recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – are among the best preserved on the planet, making their protection crucial in the fight against climate change. By combining science, community involvement and hands-on conservation, LG Spain is showing how companies can go beyond promises to deliver measurable results. And this is only the beginning. In 2025, LG and Vellmarí plan to double their impact: planting another 30,000 Posidonia shoots, expanding partnerships with local diving centers and continuing to improve survival rates. Step by step, Smart Green Seas is helping the Mediterranean breathe easier by steadily advancing its mission to absorb CO₂ and restore balance to global ecosystems. Tailored for the European Market, Company’s New Range of Vacuum Solutions Offers Enhanced Convenience and Performance SEOUL, Aug. 28, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is showcasing four new vacuum cleaning solutions designed expressly for the European market at IFA 2025. The lineup includes a robot vacuum with steam mop, a built-in robot vacuum station, a stick vacuum and a wet-dry stick vacuum. Offering enhanced convenience, powerful performance and seamless design, LG’s latest innovations reaffirm the brand’s commitment to making everyday life easier for customers across Europe. Deep Clean Meets Everyday Comfort Significantly upgraded from its predecessor, the new LG robot vacuum raises the bar for home cleaning solutions with advanced features, functionality and the satisfaction of aesthetically blending into your home with its furniture-like looks. Its steam mopping capability effectively removes grease and liquid spills, while the freestanding, furniture-like docking station self-sterilizes the mop with hot water and steam, keeping it clean and odor-free after each use. With more than double the suction power of last year’s model, it delivers a deeper clean on both hard and carpeted floors. Equipped with an on-device AI chip, the robot vacuum recognizes a range of environmental factors – from dirt and dust to furniture and other household objects – enabling more precise navigation and cleaning. Its AI carpet detection system automatically returns the vacuum to the docking station to detach the mop when carpeted areas are detected, helping prevent staining and improving cleaning efficiency. Stylish yet practical, the docking station blends seamlessly with any interior for a clean, modern look. Furthermore, the new robot vacuum incorporates the LG Shield security platform to keep customers’ data safe and secure. Hidden Fit, Hands-free Experience Developed with European homes in mind, LG’s built-in robot vacuum station is designed to fit neatly into unused space beneath the kitchen sink, enabling a tidy and space-efficient installation. An auto-opening door, nearly invisible when closed, allows the vacuum to enter and return without user intervention, helping maintain a minimalist kitchen aesthetic. The built-in station features an air circulation system that dampens noise during automatic dust disposal, helping preserve a quieter indoor environment. It also offers a fully automated, hands-free experience with auto water supply and draining. In addition, a turbidity sensor monitors mop cleanliness in real time and automatically initiates washing when soiling is detected, ensuring thorough, efficient cleaning with less energy use. Enduring Performance Unlike conventional cordless vacuums that often lose suction due to clogging from pet hair and fine dust, LG’s new stick vacuum provides consistent, powerful performance. Its Micro Cyclone technology and new filter cleaning system delivers stable suction power every time. Building on its predecessor’s allergy-aware design, the model includes an auto dust disposal system that minimizes exposure to dust particles when emptying the bin. Additionally, it includes a compact, free-standing storage and recharging station with a small footprint, allowing users to conveniently place it almost anywhere in their home. Effortless Cleaning and Care LG is also introducing its new wet-dry stick vacuum, a product that meets growing consumer demand throughout Europe for a lighter, more convenient cleaning solution. Lightweight and easy to maneuver, it helps reduce wrist strain and fatigue during cleaning. The AI Roller Control function further lessens the burden on users’ wrists and contributes to overall ease-of-operation, ensuring the vacuum moves smoothly when pushed and pulled across different surfaces. Combining advanced capabilities of LG’s AI technology, the vacuum learns from users’ cleaning patterns to optimize efficiency. Its roller delivers powerful suction that lifts both liquid messes – such as sauces – and larger solid particles like cereal and pet food. Built-in LED lighting helps users spot debris in low-light conditions. For hygiene, the mop head undergoes hot water washing, steam sterilization and hot air drying – keeping the mop head fresh and the vacuum clean. “LG’s new vacuums are designed for European homes and lifestyles, delivering reliable performance along with greater comfort, hygiene and peace of mind,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “We are committed to introducing innovations that meet the diverse needs of our customers and create effortless ease and elegance in everyday life.” LG’s latest vacuum lineup and other home appliance solutions will be on display at the company’s IFA 2025 exhibition booth (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) in Berlin, Germany, from September 5-9. # # # View the full article

  13. Hai Phong Plant Achieves TÜV Rheinland CSMS Level 3 Certification SEOUL, Aug. 20, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG), a leading innovator in mobility technology, today announced that its Hai Phong manufacturing facility in Vietnam – the company’s largest production hub for vehicle components – has earned Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) Level 3 certification from TÜV Rheinland, a global testing and certification agency. The certification ceremony was held on August 19 (local time) at the Hai Phong plant. CSMS is an internationally recognized framework that assesses whether cybersecurity processes are systematically applied across the entire lifecycle of vehicles and automotive components, from planning and development to production, operation and post-production management. Hai Phong is the first facility in the world, among TÜV Rheinland-certified cases, to be awarded both CSMS Level 2 and Level 3 certifications simultaneously. This achievement extends the CSMS Level 3 certification previously awarded to LG Vehicle Solution (VS) Company’s management system, validating Hai Phong’s ability to apply rigorous cybersecurity measures in mass production. As LG VS Company’s largest vehicle component manufacturing site, Hai Phong produces the majority of products supplied to major global automakers. By establishing and applying advanced cybersecurity management systems at the facility, LG VS Company has reinforced its position as an industry leader in protecting automotive components from emerging digital threats. The need for robust cybersecurity at both key administrative and production facilities has become essential amid the industry-wide shift toward Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). Cybersecurity risks during manufacturing are increasing, making it critical for suppliers to implement strong, standardized safeguards. Global regulatory requirements reiterate this urgency. The UNECE R155 regulation, implemented in 2021 and adopted by the European Union and 56 countries across Asia, Oceania and Africa, mandates that vehicles be certified with a CSMS before entering the market. Since July 2024, only vehicles meeting this requirement have been allowed in these markets, with the U.S. and China also tightening their automotive cybersecurity regulations. LG has steadily strengthened cybersecurity across all areas of LG VS Company. At the corporate administrative level, LG achieved CSMS Level 2 certification in 2023 and Level 3 certification last year. With Hai Phong now Level 3 certified, the company plans to pursue certification for its other major manufacturing facilities. In 2024, LG also earned the Automotive SPICE for Cybersecurity certification, a standard developed by European OEMs to evaluate the cybersecurity and software reliability of automotive component suppliers. Major U.S. automakers, including General Motors and Ford, are now adopting this standard for supplier assessments as well. “Internationally recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CSMS Level 3 strengthen our position as a trusted partner to global automakers,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG VS Company. “Through an unmatched commitment to security and quality, LG will continue to enhance its leadership in the automotive components market.” # # # View the full article

  15. Optimized for Modern Living, Company’s New Fit & Max Refrigerators Deliver Stylish, User-Centric Design and Smart Performance to European Kitchens SEOUL, Aug. 19, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is unveiling its latest refrigerator lineup for the European market at IFA 2025. Designed to deliver top-tier energy efficiency, the new french door and bottom-freezer models have been developed specifically for Europe’s unique housing environments and consumer lifestyles, reflecting LG’s extensive research into local needs and preferences. The lineup combines energy-saving performance, smart features and space-efficient styling that integrates seamlessly into modern homes. Outstanding Energy Efficiency Responding to increased demand for energy-efficient appliances across Europe, LG is introducing models that meet – and significantly surpass – the European Union’s highest (“A”) energy rating. The new bottom-freezer model exceeds the requirement for the A rating, while the french door model has impressively earned an A rating, despite being in a category where such ratings are rare. LG’s exceptional energy efficiency was made possible by its optimized insulation design tailored for the European market, as well as AI-based features that help reduce electricity consumption by learning household usage patterns and optimizing compressor operation during periods of low activity. Fit & Max: Perfect Fit and Maximum Performance Designed for Europe’s typically compact kitchens, the new lineup features LG’s Zero Clearance Hinge, enabling doors to open fully (up to 110 degrees) even when placed flush against a wall. Sleek exteriors with LG’s Premium Flat Door design create a refined, built-in look. AI-powered features elevate convenience and efficiency to make every day easier and power bills more manageable. AI Fresh monitors your door-opening habits over three weeks and lowers the temperature in advance during peak times. This helps reduce sudden temperature changes when the door is opened, keeping food fresher for longer. AI Saving Mode analyzes use-behavior and intelligently adjusts cooling performance during low-usage periods, helping save energy. Embodying LG’s MAX concept – maximizing space efficiency and food freshness – the lineup features a variety of storage solutions that enhance interior usability, including the Retractable Shelf for tall or bulky items, and generous interior capacity. Freshness technologies include Linear Cooling to minimize temperature fluctuations, Door Cooling+ for fast, even cooling and Fresh Converter+ with customizable storage zones for meat, fish and vegetables. New French Door Refrigerator Boasting Built-In Look, Practical Features The new french door model presents LG’s first Thin Door design with both an ice and water dispenser, plus the installation flexibility of the Zero Clearance Hinge. The Ultra Slim In-Door Ice Maker saves storage space while delivering a steady supply of ice. Interior enhancements include an optimized basket design that reduces the risk of bottles tipping over when opening or closing. Deeper shelves improve internal storage capacity, aligning with the needs of European lifestyles. Soft Closing Doors prevent slamming, ensuring smoother and quieter operation. New Bottom-Freezer Designed for Flexibility Designed to fit real European kitchen environments, the new bottom-freezer series offers a variety of sizes and capacities. Adjustable shelving and flexible compartments maximize usable space. The Adjustable Shelf offers seven height settings, while the combination of Adjustable and Retractable Shelves allows for tailored organization. Additional accessories, such as the Movable Bucket, My Box and Mini Door Basket, can be repositioned for convenient access or to free up space for other items. “LG’s new refrigerator lineup reflects a firm commitment to meaningful innovation, combining outstanding space and energy efficiency with designs that fit seamlessly into modern kitchens,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “We remain focused on developing user-centric technologies that enhance everyday convenience, simplify life at home and have less impact on the planet.” # # # View the full article
  16. Serious About Sustainability, Company Introduces New Material and Production Process to Minimize Environmental Impact SEOUL, Aug. 18, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is reducing plastic consumption and carbon emissions by adopting a new material and manufacturing process for its commercial 4-way system air conditioners. Aligned with the company’s Better Life for All ESG vision, these latest efforts demonstrate an unwavering commitment to minimizing environmental impacts. TÜV Rheinland, a global testing and certification organization, recently confirmed that LG’s newly instituted production process has lowered carbon emissions from the manufacturing of its 4-way system air conditioners to 14.85 kilograms of CO₂ equivalents* per unit. Along with the shift in manufacturing method, the primary driver of this reduction is the introduction of a new material used for the air conditioners’ exterior panels. Moving away from conventional plastic manufacturing techniques, LG employs a foaming injection molding process whereby nitrogen gas is injected into the mold to create bubbles within the material. This innovative approach reduces plastic use by approximately 900 grams per unit. Additionally, LG has replaced the use of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) with Polypropylene (PP), which has a lower carbon footprint. These improvements are expected to cut plastic consumption by roughly 270 tons annually and CO₂ equivalent carbon emissions by over 4,400 tons each year – a reduction comparable to the carbon absorbed in one year by a 30-year-old pine forest covering more than 580 soccer fields. LG began applying its foaming injection molding method to 4-way system air conditioners in June and plans to gradually expand it to other residential and commercial models. In pursuit of carbon neutrality, LG aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 54.6 percent by 2030 compared to 2017 levels, as outlined in its Sustainability Report. To reach this target, the company is integrating high-efficiency equipment into its manufacturing processes and adopting renewable energy sources to produce high-efficiency appliances leveraging its proprietary Core Tech. A prime example of Core Tech is LG’s inverter motor technology, which minimizes energy waste by adjusting motor and compressor speeds in real time according to demand. The company has also advanced its environmental compliance by launching an inverter scroll chiller using R32 refrigerant, which has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) about 30 percent lower than R410A refrigerant. “The new material and manufacturing process we’ve introduced for our 4-way system air conditioner underscored our efforts to minimizing environmental impacts,” said Bae Cheung-hyun, head of the System Air Conditioners Business at the LG ES Company. “LG will continue to leverage innovative technologies to develop eco-conscious air conditioners for a healthier planet.” # # # * A metric measure used to compare the emissions from various greenhouse gases on the basis of their global-warming potential (GWP), by converting amounts of other gases to the equivalent amount of carbon dioxide with the same global warming potential. 17. This summer, LG has stirred up a gentle, nostalgia-infused breeze with its classically cool Heritage Fan – a product that bridges the past and the present. The “D-301” fan, along with other iconic LG products of yesteryear, has been lovingly recreated, given a contemporary twist and rereleased to celebrate the company’s pivotal role in shaping the home appliance industry in Korea. The story behind the fan goes way back. LG’s roots trace to 1947, when LuckyChemical Co. became Korea’s first plastics manufacturer. A little over a decade later, in 1958, the company established Goldstar Co. – the country’s first electronics company. Goldstar helped pioneer the country’s burgeoning home appliance industry, introducing groundbreaking products like the D-301. This electric fan was not only the first to be manufactured domestically, but also became a symbol of modern convenience and national pride. It was Goldstar that opened doors for Korean-made electronics in the global market, and of course, laid the foundations for today’s LG Electronics you know today. To faithfully revive this beloved product, LG took a hands-on approach. The team tracked down original D-301 units still owned by longtime customers – some of whom proudly shared that their vintage fans are still running strong. These well-preserved models became key references in recreating the look and feel of the original while upgrading its internals for today’s users. The result? The timeless charm of the D-301, reborn as the Heritage Fan – a limited-edition remake that brings together retro design and contemporary technology. From its curved frame and analog dial to the engraved Goldstar crown logo, it stays true to the spirit of the 1960s original. Inside, though, it’s been completely updated with a high-efficiency BLDC motor, whisper-quiet operation and a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 10 hours of cordless use. It’s both a design statement and a practical companion for everyday life. Though not available for sale, the Heritage Fan has attracted enthusiastic attention online. People appreciated the thoughtful design and nostalgic aesthetic, and some even expressed interest in seeing it made more widely available. What began as a tribute to LG’s legacy has unexpectedly become a talking point across generations. More than just a product, the Heritage Fan is a celebration of LG’s legacy – its role in shaping the everyday lives of generations and its continued commitment to innovation that feels personal and warm. By reimagining the D-301 for today, LG is honoring where it came from while carrying the Life’s Good spirit into the future. Because some designs are too good to leave in the past – and some memories are worth reliving with every breeze. 18. Sometimes, all it takes is a few minutes of film to move you – to stir emotion, preserve memory or reflect the soul of a nation. In Mexico, where tradition runs deep and culture is rich, short films offer a powerful lens into identity, storytelling and history. That spirit was front and center at the country’s first-ever OLED Film Festival, a celebration made possible by LG Mexico and the iconic Cineteca Nacional, Mexico’s leading institution for cultural cinema. This debut festival featured over 30 short films, each offering a distinct perspective on Mexican customs, indigenous roots and the artistry of visual storytelling. More than just a celebration of creativity, the event showed how cutting-edge technology can help preserve – and amplify – authentic voices. The films were showcased in the LG OLED Cinema Room at Cineteca Nacional, recently named the 17th most beautiful cinema in the world by Time Out Magazine. Outfitted with LG OLED displays, the space delivered an unmatched viewing experience – thanks to perfect black levels, vivid color reproduction and immersive surround sound. Daniel Aguilar, corporate communications director of LG Mexico As part of the global Life’s Good campaign, the OLED Film Festival illustrated how innovation can deepen our connections to each other. Under the theme “Less Artificial, More Human,” the event underscored how technology can elevate cultural storytelling, spark empathy and preserve collective memory in ways no other medium can. Curated by Pixelatl, a leading Mexican organization for graphic and audiovisual storytelling, the lineup included shorts that focused on indigenous languages, rituals and communities. These were shown alongside restored works by legendary animator Dominique Jonard and several critically acclaimed titles: “Carne de Dios” by Patricio Plaza: Set in colonial Mexico, a Spanish friar suffering from a mysterious illness is brought to a curandera – a traditional healer. As the curandera performs an ancient ritual to cure him, the experience triggers profound and unexpected effects on his body and mind. “Mi abuela Matilde” by Miguel Anaya: When young María is left in the care of her grandmother, she must learn the essential skills for an independent life. Tensions rise until a childhood secret helps them rediscover their connection and compassion. “Hasta los huesos” by René Castillo: A man journeys into the Land of the Dead, where he encounters a surreal world of worms, dancing skeletons and the iconic Catrina. Gradually, he realizes that being dead isn’t as daunting as he thought. The festival’s opening keynote, “Animation with Indigenous Communities” by Luis Jurado, featured four themed screenings: Childhood, Musical Mexico, Rituals and Customs, and The Best of Pixelatl (2019–2024). To extend the festival’s impact beyond the big screen, LG brought the OLED experience to Villa de las Niñas, a school in the State of Mexico supporting over 3,000 indigenous girls from vulnerable backgrounds. For one day, the school’s auditorium transformed into a pop-up cinema, giving students a magical, first-hand experience with film. It wasn’t just about watching movies – it was an invitation to dream, explore and connect. LG’s support for Villa de las Niñas extends beyond this event. The company has equipped the school with more than 70 premium displays, laser projectors, washing machines and kitchen appliances – helping improve everyday life for students and teachers alike. To amplify awareness and drive support for the school, LG Mexico invited media and influencers to experience the event. The campaign reached over 18.5 million people, highlighting LG’s commitment to social impact while boosting brand visibility through meaningful, purpose-driven storytelling. The first OLED Film Festival in Mexico brought together the best of technology, culture and creativity – proving that a screen can be more than just a source of entertainment. It can preserve heritage, spark imagination and connect generations. Contributed by LG Mexico # # # View the full article

  20. Improved Access to News Content and Strengthened Broadcast Partnerships Inspire Double-Digit Growth Across Multiple Regions SEOUL, Aug. 8, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is advancing LG Channels viewership growth across the world, thanks to its intuitive user interface and growing variety of content. As part of this effort, LG is partnering with leading broadcasters and news organizations across multiple regions to add more news streams to the platform, making them both relevant to local audiences and easier to access and explore. Starting this month, LG Channels news content can also be accessed directly from the home screen via newly introduced News Portal. Rolled out via Q-Card in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, the U.K. and Germany on TVs running webOS 25, this feature is expected to expand to more platforms later this year – supporting further news consumption growth, thanks to the company’s free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service. In the U.S., LG Smart TV users can access a wide array of news channels through LG Channels News Hub, a curated source for free, ad-supported news channels. The News Hub is made possible through partnerships with multiple leading national and local broadcasters whose channels are available in the News Hub, including NBCUniversal, Disney, FOX Television Stations, Bloomberg Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Allen Media Group’s Local Now, E.W. Scripps, Sinclair Broadcast Group and others. In addition, users can still access news channels through the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) on their LG Smart TVs. LG Channels also provides localized content from Local Now channels, Allen Media Group’s free news streaming service, which delivers over 220 local channels in every U.S. ZIP code. Expanding its offerings for Spanish-speaking viewers, LG collaborated with NBCUniversal News Group earlier this year to introduce Telemundo Station Group’s 24/7 streaming news channels. These channels – Telemundo Noticias California, Telemundo Noticias Texas, Telemundo Noticias Florida and Telemundo Noticias Noreste – deliver regional news coverage. These partnerships have been a key driver of the double-digit linear growth the LG Channels service has seen in the U.S., year-over-year. LG’s efforts to strengthen regional news access through LG Channels were recognized in June 2025 with the Award for Achievement in Local Broadcasting at the ITVT/TVOT 21st Annual Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television. This honor underscores the company’s commitment to advancing news content delivery through partnerships with trusted local broadcasters. “Our goal with LG Channels has always been to make high-quality, relevant content accessible to everyone,” said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “By working with trusted news providers and powerful broadcasters across regions and continuously improving how users discover and access content, we are making local and national news more approachable, timely and meaningful within everyday viewing.” LG Channels viewing time has increased in Mexico and Brazil as local news content becomes more available. In Mexico, major local broadcasters TV Azteca, Multimedios and Grupo Imagen joined LG Channels this year, strengthening its local news lineup. TV Azteca’s FIA has emerged as the most-watched channel among the 190 channels available on LG Channels in Mexico, underscoring strong demand for quality local news. These additions have driven a 95 percent year-over-year increase in viewing hours in Mexico. In Brazil, LG Channels has expanded local news offerings with the launch of New Brasil in partnership with Grupo Bandeirantes – one of the country’s leading broadcasters – CNN Brasil, and Times Brasil – Licenciado Exclusivo CNBC. Since these launches, the platform’s viewing hours in Brazil have increased by more than 40 percent, with CNN Brasil the most-watched. LG also continues to expand the availability of local news content on LG Channels across Europe. In markets like the U.K. and France, news partnerships have driven strong month-over-month growth, with double-digit increases in viewership. Currently, over 100 news channels including BFM TV (France), GB News (UK), CNN International (UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland), CNN Headlines (available in 16 European countries), Bloomberg Television (UK), Euronews IN DIRETTA (Italy) and CNN en Español (Spain) are available, with more channels, such as France 24, scheduled to launch soon. In Spain, LG Channels has added content through a landmark partnership with RTVE, the national public broadcaster. Viewers can now enjoy RTVE’s premium content for free, including flagship channels La 1, La 2 and Canal 24 Horas (24H) – the latter being a trusted source for real-time national and international news. Strong local news content is increasing viewing time across other regions as well. In Australia, the addition of Sky News Australia, a leading national news network with a loyal viewership, has boosted engagement significantly. In Korea, local news from major outlets such as TV Chosun, JTBC, MBN, Channel A and YTN consistently garner the most viewing time among the 130 channels available on LG Channels. In India, LG Channels offers a wide selection of FAST news channels to meet local demand for timely, diverse information. As of June 2025, news accounts for over 40 percent of all viewing time, with news channels dominating the platform’s top 10. LG Channels features over 40 news channels in eight regional languages. 23. A Genuine Gamechanger, LG’s Ultra Short Throw Projector Presents 4K Picture Quality, Dolby Atmos Support and Built-in webOS in a Sleek, Portable Package SEOUL, Aug. 5, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the beginning of the global rollout of the LG CineBeam S (model PU615U), a compact yet powerful 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector designed to deliver premium home entertainment and unprecedented flexibility. Building on the legacy of the LG CineBeam Q, the new model elevates viewer immersion with vibrant, large-scale images in stunning 4K (3,840 x 2,160) and cinematic audio with dynamic Dolby Atmos sound. Introducing the concept of “Wonder beyond spatial limits,” the stylish LG CineBeam S can turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater. LG’s latest CineBeam projector combines advanced UST technology and an exceptionally small, aesthetically pleasing form factor to provide maximum space efficiency, effortless portability and a memorable big-screen experience. Positioned as close as 8.1 centimeters from the screen or projection surface, this elegantly designed UST projector reproduces bright, detailed pictures measuring from 40 inches (at 8.1 centimeter) up to 100 inches (at 39.3 centimeter) diagonally. Unlike conventional projectors that require long throw distances and complex mounting setups, the CineBeam S is supremely easy to set up – ideal for situations where space is at a premium. Its tiny footprint means there is no need to move furniture or rearrange the room to create the optimal conditions for installation. The CineBeam S produces brilliant 4K images – adjustable in size from 40 to 100 inches – that are just as crisp and clear in the daytime as they are at night. Its advanced RGB laser system offers 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, guaranteeing accurate color reproduction that helps preserve the creative intent behind each piece of content. With 500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 450,000:1 contrast ratio, it ensures deep blacks and rich, lifelike colors under any ambient lighting conditions. Designed to fit seamlessly into customers’ lifestyles, the LG CineBeam S offers a range of convenient features that promote versatile usability. A complete home cinema solution, it comes equipped with built-in stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for spacious and dynamic audio. The integration of LG’s webOS smart TV platform gives users access to a host of popular streaming services along with intuitive control and convenient content discovery. For more entertainment options, users can connect external devices through the projector’s physical ports (HDMI x 1 and USB Type-C x 2), or stream content wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or PC via AirPlay 2 and Screen Share. Setup is fast and simple, thanks to Auto Screen Adjustment, which enables sharp, perfectly aligned visuals in practically any viewing environment. Users can further fine-tune visual output without physically moving the projector through Screen Scaling & Shifting, and utilize the Wall Color Adjustment feature for projection onto non-white surfaces. Beyond performance, the CineBeam S also impresses with its subtle, yet eye-catching minimalist design completed with an elegant metallic finish, seamlessly blending into any interior space as an aesthetic object. Its small size allows for easy placement on a shelf or table and provides excellent portability, giving users the freedom to take the projector with them wherever they go. A triumph of form and function, the LG CineBeam S packs powerful projection technology into an ultra-compact unit that fits comfortably in one hand, measuring 110 × 160 × 160 millimeters and weighing 1.9 kilograms. The model also ships with a redesigned remote that offers a more refined look and a more natural control experience compared to the LG CineBeam Q. Additionally, support for the LG ThinQ app lets users operate the projector with their smartphone. “The LG CineBeam S is a testament to our commitment to innovation, and to bringing a truly premium home cinema experience to a wider audience,” said YS Lee, head of IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “This isn’t just a projector; it’s a premium lifestyle solution that combines design and technology excellence to deliver unprecedented flexibility and a new kind of customer value.” # # # View the full article
  24. Portable audio has evolved beyond simply being compact and easy to carry; it now aims to enrich people’s everyday experiences. From rooftop gatherings and beach days to home workouts, meditation sessions and music by the campsite, portable speakers have become part of more personal and diverse moments than ever before. On-the-go audio is as much about setting the mood, bringing people together and fitting effortlessly into a daily routine as it is about the music itself. With this understanding, the design team studied how people truly bring music into their lives. These insights became the foundation for the latest LG xboom by will.i.am speakers, engineered to connect deeply with users. Design Inspired by Everyday Life The LG xboom by will.i.am speaker designs address the question: How do people actually use portable speakers and how do they bring real value to everyday life? Through the extensive study and observation of user interactions and behaviors, the team analyzed how speakers are carried and positioned, and how they integrate into various settings and environments. Their answers formed the xboom design philosophy. Three core values guided every design decision, ensuring that every xboom speaker is practical, emotionally engaging and effortlessly blends into various environments: Purposeful Innovation, Emotional Warmth and Contextual Harmony. “Purposeful Innovation” embraces human-centered design with ergonomic handles, adjustable straps and customizable lighting designed for real-life convenience. Whether carrying the speaker to a party or relaxing at home, these details make it easy and comfortable to use everywhere. This commitment is reflected by the handles, straps and form factors across the xboom lineup, offering secure, comfortable handling and flexible, intuitive use for a seamless and versatile listening experience on the go. To go beyond functionality, the design team injected “Emotional Warmth” into the designs, including charming lighting effects with adaptable intensity and mood-setting colors that deepen the listener’s emotional engagement. The speakers’ clean, symmetrical lines and balanced form factor provide a sense of visual stability and comfort, helping users feel secure and relaxed in a variety of settings. “Contextual Harmony” introduces elements intentionally crafted to enable the speakers’ seamless integration into diverse surroundings while engaging listeners with an experience that feels connected and attuned to every moment. Whether it’s an energetic gathering or quiet personal moment, xboom speakers enhance the mood and empower people to enjoy music their way. The Story Behind Each Design Built for live performances and gatherings, the Stage 301 delivers powerful sound and a sturdy design, ideal for musicians and music lovers who require style and substance. Combining engineering with expressive design, it captivates audiences with a compelling mix of power and style. For the Stage 301, the team explored various form factors, proportions, placements and internal layouts to project sound clearly and confidently during busking gigs, karaoke sessions and live performances. Every detail of its shape has been crafted to bring sound into spaces where audio presence and performance truly matter. They also drew insights from commercial performance speakers, considering their appearance and practical aspects to optimize sound and usability in real-world situations. A key element of the design is the handle, which allows the speaker to tilt naturally when laid down for more effective sound projection. It can also be mounted on a tripod to suit different spaces and performance setups. The handle fits comfortably in the user’s palm and fingers, distributing weight evenly to minimize strain and ensure a secure hold. This ergonomic grip ensures stability while moving across a stage or when mounted on a tripod. The Stage 301’s uniqueness comes from the design inspiration from the sports car exhausts – a symbol of power and performance. Seeking to capture that same purposeful energy, the design team focused on the point where the body’s edges converge. By accentuating this space, they achieved both structural strength and visual tension to enhance the overall design. This approach gives the speaker an athletic, muscular stance that conveys strength, power and dynamism. Through careful refinement, the team preserves the speaker’s bold character while ensuring a seamless and elegant visual flow. The LG xboom by will.i.am Bounce’s beautifully symmetrical design looks refined from every angle, adding sophistication to a wide range of spaces. The design team explored how the speaker would look and feel in various indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring it could blend effortlessly into diverse environments. They refined its shape and size, balancing smooth, rounded lines with perfect symmetry to create something that feels stable and comfortable to use, appreciate and enjoy. Purposefully, the Bounce’s two feet have a larger surface area to provide stable, secure contact with most surfaces – a detail that boosts stability during different usage. The design team wanted these feet to do more than support; they wanted to create a subtle visual link to the speaker’s acoustic elements. For this reason, the circular feet were made identical in size to the passive radiators, and aligned vertically, creating a column-like connection that highlights the Bounce’s balanced, symmetrical form. With the Bounce’s passive radiators, the design team wanted listeners to not only hear but also see and feel sound. After experimenting with countless placements alongside engineers, they identified its top position as the most effective for delivering powerful bass, creating an impact users can both feel and see from above as the speaker’s deep vibrations come to life. While exploring different strap adjustments and carry options, the design team uncovered opportunities for users to engage with Bounce in more creative and personal ways. They designed a versatile strap that can be worn over the shoulder, held in the hand or used to slip a hand between the speaker and strap for a more secure grip. To achieve this, they carefully refined the strap’s length and material for a design that supports a comfortable grip, reduces hand fatigue, stays secure when moving around and adapts to the length of the journey. Another highlight of the latest xboom speakers is lighting, which uses colors and movement that match the mood, setting and pulse of the music. Believing that lighting should do more than look good, the design team explored how it could visually capture the energy and vibe of the music. Through countless trials with color transitions, speed variations and movement patterns, they designed horizontal lights that flow with the volume, rhythm, beat and tone, making it easier to feel and connect with it. The fact that LG xboom by will.i.am Grab can be taken practically anywhere with ease, is no accident. The design team noticed that single-strap speakers can be unstable and difficult to carry. That insight sparked a simple idea: What if they added a second strap? This wouldn’t be just a functional fix, it would also let users carry and interact with the speaker in more creative and practical ways. Whether looped around a backpack or slung over a shoulder, the Grab becomes an extension of one’s lifestyle. What’s more, its adjustable straps and compact form let users slip their hand through comfortably, providing a secure grip that reduces fatigue. This design also allows fingers to easily reach and operate the buttons on top, making control simple without changing how it’s held. The Grab’s design process involved extensive simulations and hands-on testing of various shapes and sizes, including rectangular and angular forms, to find the ideal balance between comfort and practicality. The team assessed how it felt in hand, how smoothly it rolled and how well it fit into the cup holders of cars, scooters and bicycles. With every detail refined to enhance usability and versatility, the cylindrical form was determined to feel the most natural, balanced and suited for everyday use. The design team wanted the speaker to look as dynamic as it sounds. The Grab features passive radiators on both ends accented by a vibrating “X,” inspired by the xboom branding, visually representing the speaker’s vibrant, energetic audio performance. Award-Winning Design Excellence LG’s focus on the user experience and thoughtful approach to the xboom speakers’ design have earned global recognition, including the prestigious iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award. The iF Design Award praised Grab’s functional design that allows it to be carried by hand or wrist, mounted on a bicycle or car or securely hung, making outdoor use more convenient and listening experiences more active. The Red Dot Design Award honored the Grab, Bounce and Stage 301 for stunning designs that are both user-centric and powerful performance-wise. The xboom design DNA continues to evolve with people’s desires and needs, seamlessly blending human-centered innovation, emotional warmth and contextual harmony.
