Hi there,
I have an LG smart TV OLED65G36LA (LG OS v03.20.17, webOS TV version 8.20.0-710) , and the Prime Video App was no longer able to update (from Dec 2025) and therefore could no longer be used.
I have tried uninstalling the app and re-installing, and that was unable to work, so then applied a full reset on the LG TV and so had to reinstall all of my other apps (Apple TV, Netflix, etc etc) which all successfully downloaded so confirmed network connections and setup are all confirmed working.
When I try to download the Prime Video app, it remains stuck on the download screen and is unable to update.
Thanks

Hello there!
Recently the prime video app started to require the update to open, and now i am having a problem, because this app update REQUIRES to a system update of firmware (to webos24),
but it will make impossible to homebrew later.
So, can someone at least provide the last or update ipk of amazon (amazon.ipk), so i can install manually?
Thanks!

Collaboration With Expo City Dubai Marks a Major Step in Company’s B2G Expansion
SEOUL, Nov. 25, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is accelerating its qualitative growth strategy in the Middle East by expanding its business-to-government (B2G) portfolio.
On November 19, LG signed a strategic partnership with Expo City Dubai – a city borne out of the Dubai government-backed 2020 World Expo – to collaborate on the development of a next-generation smart city. The agreement was signed by William Cho, CEO of LG Electronics and Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer, Expo City Dubai.
The partnership builds on discussions at the Korea–UAE Business Roundtable, where both governments agreed to deepen cooperation in AI-powered service development and AI infrastructure. It also further deepens LG’s long-standing relationship with Expo City Dubai, an innovation-driven, people-centric community and the new center of Dubai’s future. The company previously supplied LED signage for Expo 2020 and later committed to providing built-in home appliances – including refrigerators, dishwashers and ovens – for 3,000 households currently being built within the smart city.
As a provider of Space as a Service – offering holistic, space-optimized solutions – LG will support the project with innovative infrastructure across multiple areas, including AI data center cooling solutions and smart home systems powered by the company’s AI Home Hub platform.
Through this latest partnership, LG aims to strengthen its position as a comprehensive solutions provider across the B2C, B2B and B2G sectors in the Middle East.
“With our differentiated HVAC technologies and AI Home Hub-based smart solutions, we are committed to contributing to sustainable growth in the Middle East,” said William Cho, CEO of LG Electronics. “We will accelerate efforts to capture new B2B and B2G opportunities with solutions built around each country’s future direction.”
Accelerating B2B and B2G Growth Across the Middle East
LG continues to expand its presence in major markets such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The company has operated in the UAE for 30 years and manages regional headquarters overseeing operations across 75 markets in the Middle East and Africa.
In September, LG signed an MoU to supply cooling solutions for the Middle East’s largest net-zero AI data center – currently being built in Oxagon, the advanced industrial district within Saudi Arabia’s NEOM gigaproject. The agreement – made in partnership with ACWA Power, SHAKER Group and DATAVOLT – positions LG as a strategic contributor to next-generation data center infrastructure.
In Saudi Arabia, LG began its air conditioner partnership with SHAKER Group in 1995 and formed a joint venture in 2006, expanding its B2C and B2B businesses. In recent years, the company has expanded its participation in government-led initiatives, driving consistent growth in B2G revenue. Looking ahead, LG aims to increase the share of its B2B business to around 45 percent of total revenue by 2030.

Company Accelerates Global Expansion of Materials Business, Boosts Industry Recognition
by Participating in World’s Three Largest Plastics Exhibitions
SEOUL, Oct. 13, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is presenting a comprehensive lineup of LG PuroTec antimicrobial additive solutions at K 2025 – one of the world’s leading plastics tradeshows – taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany (October 8-15).
Making its debut at K show, LG is accelerating the global expansion of its advanced materials business. This year, the company has established a strong global presence by participating in all three of the world’s major plastics exhibitions: Chinaplas in China, National Plastics Exposition in the U.S., and now K show in Europe.
Underscoring LG’s leadership in advanced material technologies, PuroTec solutions are suitable for a wide range of applications spanning diverse industries, including home appliances, healthcare, construction materials, packaging and automotive. Along with the complete PuroTec portfolio, LG’s showcase at K show also features antibacterial plastics co-developed with LG Chem, a global leader in chemical and materials innovation.
Demonstrating the depth and diversity of its offerings, LG unveiled five core PuroTec product lines at the show. LG PuroTec is a glass matrix–based antimicrobial additive that can be incorporated into plastics, coatings, powder coatings and textiles, delivering both antibacterial and antifungal properties. Effective at preventing odors and contamination caused by microorganisms, it helps maintain product cleanliness and durability. Built on LG’s decades-long expertise in glass powder R&D – and following its successful application in home appliances – PuroTec has rapidly emerged as a key growth driver in LG’s B2B portfolio, with annual sales more than doubling year-over-year.
To increase the footprint of its advanced materials business, LG is exploring new applications for its glass powder innovations. These include Marine Glass, designed to support marine ecosystem restoration and carbon reduction, and Mineral Wash, an eco-conscious laundry technology that cleans fabric without surfactants. LG currently holds 420 patents related to glass powder technology and operates a manufacturing facility at LG Smart Park in Changwon, South Korea, with an annual production capacity of 4,500 tons.
In September, LG signed a memorandum of understanding with SGS Korea, a global certification organization, to co-develop international antimicrobial certification standards for PuroTec. Under the agreement, LG will provide technical expertise related to antimicrobial technologies for certification design, while SGS Korea will develop certification procedures aligned with global standards. Products certified under this partnership will bear the SGS Global Performance Mark, clearly signaling transparency and reliability to global customers.
“LG PuroTec is more than just an additive; it is a strategic B2B growth engine that creates meaningful value for customers and industries worldwide,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “By strengthening collaborations with global partners, reinforcing compliance with international standards and delivering reliable performance, we aim to establish PuroTec as a core pillar of LG’s materials business – driving sustainable growth and strengthening our leadership in the global market.”

Question
Lefcoasdave
We have a SONY 55" Brava smart tv about 4 years old. When we watch BritBox via our Amazon Prime subscription, we get deep pauses in the video feed, as if there were a buffering problem or a source feed problem. Our usual fix is to wait for a minute or two--it may continue. Or we back our of BritBox and sometimes also Amazon and restart them. Or occasionally we have to turn the power to the set of and restart the tv. I have deleted unused premium apps from Amazon. I have purged the cache. After seeing suggestions about deleting and reloading the app, I searched for an actual BritBox app, but there isn't one. We still have the problem. This could be caused by a tv hardware or operating system issue; it could be caused by an Amazon Prime app issue, or an Amazon internal network issue, or an Amazon or BritBox supplier side hardware/software/bandwidth issue. It could be caused by a problem with our wifi or our modem connected to our fiber net company, or something else entirely, or all of the above! I plan to contact Amazon support first. Any other ideas? Anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
