@anand shinde

Is this the 43UK6780PTE TV model you were posting about back in June?

1) When did this start to happen?
2) Has anything changed since then (firmware update, New router, New ISP, change from 2GHz band to 5GHz band on the WiFi)??
3) what is the SSID name of your network on those bands?
4) Have you checked with you phone near the TV to see what the signal strength is (The WiFi bars icon, NOT the phone tower signal strength). Ensure you check the same band that the TV is using.

NOTE: for item 3, the reason I ask, is that some models of LG TV do NOT like connecting to SSID names with LONG names (over 8 characters, and/or with special characters in).

After firmware update

@anand shinde OK, thanks for confirming the model number, and that it happened after a firmware update. So, did you investigate what WiFi band you are using (2.4GHz or 5GHz), and what the SSID names are for these bands, that your router is broadcasting (see the 8 characters and over issue)? There could ALSO be another issue, regarding using high channel numbers, as the later firmware may have tightened up some channel range/restrictions for different countries rules (or maybe even got the tightening up too strict). The info below makes the assumption that you can log into your router, and you are able to view the advanced WiFi settings, and see the channel it is using for the 5GHz band. NOTE: if your WiFi is often dropping in and out due to the issues mentioned, it may well need you to re-input the password if it thinks it is a new connection. I know that should not happen if it has a previous "record" of the correct SSID name, BUT this firmware update could have introduced a buggy setup on the WiFi interfacing.

I will reproduce my post on this below for your comment and feedback (as some users have found this fixes the 5GHz side for some TV models):

"For those who get frequent WiFi connection drop-outs, I picked this bit of useful info from another forum. Note that this may well apply to many other LG models than the C9, as they often use common WiFi internal cards/modules:

"Network/Ethernet/Wi-Fi

Problem: C9 [or other models] will lose the wireless connection and you have to reconnect daily (but wired is stable);
Conditions: TV is connected to a 5GHz router;
Cause:           (1) the router may be unstable on the 5GHz band [possibly too far from router]; (2) the router has the 5GHz band set on a higher channel - over 100;
Resolution: (1) change the TV to the 2.4GHz band
                          (2) set the channel [in the ROUTER advanced WiFi settings]!! for the 5GHz band below 100 (ex. 40-50) - [channel 36 is often OK]."

      It is unprofessional on part of LG TV that they do not resolve the basic issue of adding app gCmob in their app store.
      My 50UT80506LA LG WebOs TV does not support my office security camera system via wifi to TV.  We need (gCmob app) in list of app.
      I can't connect my office camera via Wi-Fi to LG-TV. No body in LG TV technical team is proactive in resolving the issue of customer. They are more happy to befool the customers, rather than looking for technical solution through wider thinking.
      Please talk to you top management and make a visit to our office to understand the customers plight..
      Please respond to customers needs.

      On my LG 'smart' TV now for some reason I can now only watch the LG channels but not the fiber-optic programming on wi-fi . The HDMI 1 feed I normally use shows 'dark' on the Dashboard even though I can get the green checkmark on it. How do I reconnect it? The Dashboard shows my feed as ethernet/cable; which is wrong but efforts to correct it have failed so far.

      Hi,
      I recently bought an LG UK6500PLA TV (my first LG), but I have a difficult time streaming content (Wifi connected), e.g. Netflix series is streaming in low resolution.  The router is only 10 feet away from TV (but ethernet is not an option) and uses a 5GH frequency range.
      I have tried making a speed test at fast.com, for both the TV (through the Webbrowser) and for my laptop and iPhone. The speed test for TV showed 2.5 Mbps and my laptop and iPhone showed 110 Mbps. Can there really be such a big difference? I am starting to wonder if this might be a warranty issue?
      Do any of you guys have experience with bad Wifi reception on your LG TV or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

      Br,
      Nick
