Question

Hello all,

I hope you might help.

Youtube tells me it wiil shortly not be supporting my browser and I should update it.

I tried Google Chrome and it won't...and lost the will to live with Firefox.

As I have no idea which browser the TV uses, how might I update my browser?

Thanks in anticipation.

Jude

Do you use your tv browser to access youtube? Your post is a little confusing.

lost the will to live with firefox?

You don’t have the Youtube app in your tv?

You don’t need  a browser to use youtube .

      Hello
When I try to watch replay or live TV from Belgian casts in the browser I have error messages:
      - for Auvio (RTBF) it is purely incompatible
      - for RTLPlay , the message says that the browser version is too old and has to be updated.
      But...
It is impossible to install alternative browser on LG smart TV, or to update the LG one.
WebOS is not really a good idea, or at least it should be more "open" for the apps that are not proposed or updated.
I know it is possible to share from other machines (tablet, phone or computer) but I want to use my TV "alone" too!
Do you have a solution (other then buying a chromecast or equivalent device?)
      Thank you

Your browser lags behind in terms of functionality, you can not authenticate the I'm not robot thing. It will take ages trying to verify and fail. It should be java enabled to load more recent websites. Replace it with chrome or what solution do you have

I just purchased the LG UHD 43UP76 advertised as real 4k however the YouTube App is running at 1080p.  Which means 4k content is downsampled to 1080p then reupsampled to fit the 4k pixel grid and the image quality is awful.
i assume WebOS runs at 1080p and simply upscales to 4k on low end 4k TVs, this same with high end TVs??
