This is information from LG webOS Magic Remote Android application.

I have tested and it works. However, I haven't sniffed the network, so I don't know whether a regular wake-on-lan magic packet is used or something else.

EDIT: I have just tested some Windows wake-on-lan application and it also works.

I got this working in 5 Min

I used an app on my Android device called "Wake on LAN" its a blue icon and with a circle and a Ethernet cable on it, but any other app should work that can send a magic packet.

Steps followed

  1. Switched on my LG 49UH603V-TD TV with remote
  2. Navigated to Network Settings
  3. Navigated to Advanced network settings
  4. Here it should publish your TV IP Address, Subnet mask, MAC Address, and DNS Server address
  5. Write down the IP Address + MAC address
  6. Download and install your wake on LAN app
  7. Add a new device to your Wake on LAN App - see my example below
  8. Save it
  9. Switch off your TV with the remote
  10. Open the Wake on LAN App on your phone and hit the "Wake"

You should now be geared to switch the TV on from anywhere on your WI-FI network. This is especially helpful on the weekend when the kids are tearing the house down while you want to sleep in.

Cheers, Hope this helps

Is it just me or is the plex app just unusable on webos.  When I try to select dvr items with the magic remote they just don’t play.  I am not sure if this is a plex issue or an lg webos issue.  Anyone know which it is?

I would like to play MP4 video file from my NAS, is this possible from LG Smart TV? I tried on the TV and did not see how I could do this, I also did not see any App that could help me in this area.

My LG TV is connected to my home network so has direct access to my NAS.

      hello,
I'm having problems with terrestrial TV broadcasts after installing the (Version 06.10.30) software package. The TV broadcasts that were saved are out of order and the search no longer runs as before. Suddenly the search bar jumps from 0% to 100% and no broadcasts are found. Neither radio nor TV. I have tried 3 DVBT2 antennas and two coax cables to see if that is the problem. But all of them behaved the same way on the TV, which is an LG 60SJ850V-ZA. I also tried a full TV reset but that didn't help. I also had the TV turned off for a longer period of time with no electricity, but it made no difference. The release date of the softer package is in December on the site, for me it appeared on the TV (OTA) around late January - early February. Should I expect a new patch in the near future or should I try a downgrade? Any other advice? Thanks in advance for your replies.
I'm currently buying a DVBT2 TV-BOX to watch the channels that are important to me, it's just a bit funny that I need this for such an "expensive" TV (for me). It is not a modern AI piece, but still...

I recently updated the firmware on my  LG43UH610V.  Now I constantly get "Wired Lan cable disconnected" / "Wired network is connected" messages even while watching a video file from my NAS. The TV is connected and using the network while getting these messages. It has always been on a fixed IP address on the LAN.
