Record "copy protected" tv show

I have a regular subscription with a CAM and a smart card, still the TV does not allow me to record any of my subscription channels presenting a message stating it is not possible to record "copy protected" content.

This makes not sense, I have clearly paid to be able to watch them; my cheap set-top boxes, allow this with no problem.

Is there a way around this limitation?

You’re going to need to be more specific about the equipment you’re using and how it’s connected. Personally, I wasn’t aware any LG TVs had a “record” button.

 and indeed it has DTV Recording  via external HDD,USB.

You can't because it's copy protected... exactly as it told you.
