What ABR content formats and what DRMs are supported?

Hi, Just trying to get a clear picture on what Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) content formats are supported and what DRMs are supported for each content format on LG Webos smart TVs. I am wondering if the information on link hidden, please login to view is up to date, as if so then LG is so far behind the market... I'll list my questions: 1. the page says that HLS is supported, but only with Verimatrix. is this true? 2. the page does not specify that HSS or DASH are supported. is this true? 3. the page says that WV is supported only its "classic" version and not the new "modular" version. is this true? 4. the page says that PlayReady is supported, but there is no mentioning of which content format it can be supported with. Does someone know the answer for this? Thanks for any info on this. M.

  I have a mediaplayer connected to my TV OLED55C6V through HDMI. For every video playback the player tries to select an output HDMI signal format automatically depending on both video framerate/resolution and framerate/resolution supported by the connected TV to show the video as close to original as possible with the TV without any scaling. And here I have a problem: the maximum resolution the player selects is 1080p despite of the videofile has resolution 4k and the TV supports playback of the input signal up to 4K60p. I can change the output signal resolution on the player manually after blayback starting and it works, but it's not convenient. As far as I know the only way of getting information about videosignal format supported by TV for the player is EDID on HDMI channel. So is it possible to fix the issue? Maybe some hidden setting in TV could change the version of EDID?
- Question about SmartShare "recently viewed" history and USB content

  After viewing photos/videos on a flashdrive plugged into the USB of an LG TV and using SmartShare to view... and then removing the USB and then no longer having access to the TV... I noticed on the flashdrive a new folder called "LG TV" and within what appears to be files that may have been the thumbnails displayed on the TV. My question is... do those thumbnails also remain on the TV as "recently viewed" history even without the USB plugged in? The LG Smart TV online user guide refers to "Recent" ("To view a list of recently viewed or added content, select Recent). Would thumbnails be there without the source flashdrive?
