  1. The problem is successfuly solved. To make the TV reply via EDID that it supports 4K and Dolby Vision you have to choose screen mode Movie
  2. I have a mediaplayer connected to my TV OLED55C6V through HDMI. For every video playback the player tries to select an output HDMI signal format automatically depending on both video framerate/resolution and framerate/resolution supported by the connected TV to show the video as close to original as possible with the TV without any scaling. And here I have a problem: the maximum resolution the player selects is 1080p despite of the videofile has resolution 4k and the TV supports playback of the input signal up to 4K60p. I can change the output signal resolution on the player manually after blayback starting and it works, but it's not convenient. As far as I know the only way of getting information about videosignal format supported by TV for the player is EDID on HDMI channel. So is it possible to fix the issue? Maybe some hidden setting in TV could change the version of EDID?
  3. After all I have discovered that DLNA-client on TV takes a picture thumbnail from DLNA-server and scales it to 330x243 (list item size for the list view mode) or to bigger size for preview mode. The problem is that DLNA-client takes the first thumbnail out of all options provided by DLNA-server despite of the second one has native size for the particular view mode on TV.
  4. Hello! Videoplayer on my TV OLED55C6V has two modes of folders content display: as a list of files with detailed information and thumbnail and as a previews of files with big cover and file name. My DLNA-storage contains a cover for each movie file. A cover has the same file name with its movie except of jpg-extension. As I know DLNA-server provides two variants of each picture - full size original picture and downscaled thumbnail (160x160 on MiniDLNA and it is hardcoded). And when I browse the folders of DLNA-storage on my TV I can see covers in list mode and in preview mode. And they looks like something dreadful on my TV because as I discovered TV videoplayer takes a thumbnail from DLNA-server (160x160 max in my case) and crops it to aspect ratio 4x3 and upscales it for showing as a thumbnail or as a cover. Actual displayed cover size in the second case is about 400x300 or even more on UHD-display, so a resulting picture looks like Minecraft. But, for example, Windows Mediaplayer displays covers from DLNA properly taking a full size picture (not a thumbnail) and downscaling it to required actual size if necessary. Is there any method to make TV use full size picture and downscale it properly for thumbnail and for cover separately or to do something else at all for seeing nice and smooth thumbnails and covers during DLNA folders browsing on UHD-display? Thank you in advance
  5. Hello! I like my OLED55C6V-Z very much, because it is the main part of my home theater, but it would be really great if my TV could translate sound stream from DLNA to HDMI-ARC "as is" without any changes or processing, just in Pass-Through mode. Because most DLNA-mediaservers can translate video and audio streams of videofiles without any processing. Because now when I watch a video with DTS-MasterAudio or DolbyTrueHD from DLNA-mediaserver on my TV connected with AV-receiver through HDMI-ARC, AV-receiver get only DTS or DolbyDigital and it is very pity since AV-receiver is able to handle DTS-MasterAudio or DolbyTrueHD absolutely properly. Thank you in advance!
