Few questions about LG 42LB700v fw update/restore plex etc.

Question

Lg 42lb700v-za

FW 3.25.15

It offers 4.30.16 do I update?

Will I still be able to see plex media server that is on my pc or only the LG smart share application..

Will the menus and smart menus be more responsive or more sluggish

Will I get the erros that everyone is complaining about like - not enough memory and such.

Is it possible to restore to 3.25.15 if I dont like the 4.30.15 update?

Yes, you should update a new firmware/software. Now is available version 04.41.32. What is new in this update? Sooo, much faster software and better stability.Try and post your thoughts :)

      I have owned this tv for a year and pleased with it ... until about a month ago. I now have constant repetitive messages in top right hand corner of screen saying 'Unknown device disconnected' or 'wired network is connected' or wired lan cable is connected' and it's driving me crazy. I have tried the lg live chat technical support and they were not aware of the issue but I've seen the same problem discussed on US forums and here too. Nobody seems to be able to have a solution. I have unplugged all external stuff - Virgin V6 box, Wii, wired internet, etc and it still happens. Help!!

    • Question: Lg webos media player subtitles

      Hi, i have webos 4.0 on my tv. LG media player  has lowest subtitle position "-2", but i would like them even lower (in black bars when letterbox movie is played). Is there a way or tweak to do that? I noticed that position -2 is higher in webos 4.0 compared to webos 3.5 Unfortunately kodi is not for webos, Is there other media player for webos that plays video files from usb? i cant find none.

    • NFS share mount

      I would like to be able to mount NFS shares (and possibly SAMBA/Windows shares, but these would be too slow to play HD videos ...)  so that I can play videos directly without depending on a DLNA server. This is because the DLNA implemented by LG WebOS is still too primitive and does not allow to play x265 videos.

      Recently bought one 49LF6350 and one 43LF6350 and the two models have the same problem, whenever I try to open an application, informs me that I have to update (required update, you must update this app to launch it. the update may cause data to be stored deleted.), and when I try to update, it gives an error message (application has not Been instaled. try again). It happens to apps also store to at new install. what may be occurring?
