Trusted Reviews wrote an article that is a good read about what to expect ate CES 2015:

One expectation is...

Google also announced at the time that it had reached agreements with Sony, Sharp, and Philips to include Android TV in their 2015 HDTV ranges. As such, we're expecting to see a whole bunch of top end TV sets running on Android TV at CES 2015.

Don't expect Samsung and LG to join the Android TV party just yet though. Both Korean manufacturers are keen to push their own platforms. With Samsung known to be looking to reduce its reliance on Google, LG last year introduced its new webOS TV platform, the undoubted leader of the current group.

Hello, I have searched everywhere but it seems I am the only one facing this strange problem .... when I need to use whatsoever function like simply lower the volume or changing a channel the control works but the appairing webos, instead of showing the volume bar or the channell list, makes strange coloured patterns or flickering for few seconds, then it disappear and the tv goes on working with no issues; you  may imagine that, apart using intuitive controls like volume or zapping channesl, it is impossible to get more settings because the list won't be visible on the screen .... any ideas ?

I base my question upon the press release from LG that they will launch a brand new webOS for their 2015 smart tv line of products, see
link hidden, please login to view.
Not much is revealed in that press relase of requirements, like processor  requirements, type of tv model supported and so on.

A natural question would be, will it be backward compatible with year model 2014 TV`s and will we see the ability for a free update, eg. for the dual core based smart tv LB670 series.

So please, in this thread you can post updated information of further detail of what will be the requirements.

I've filled up my internal storage and nothing else is recording. I want to delete the previous recordings, but i can't find the option to delete.
      I've got a 55UF850T.
I found another previous forum entry, but i don't have those options on my remote or recordings. Maybe that was for an older 2014 TV.
      Any ideas?

      04.00.40 - UK - 49UF850V-ZB

However only 03.20.05 is listed on the LG support page.
