Is there a way to fix this? There's a Samsung smart tv in my household that windows 7 recognizes and can cast to, but the LG WEBOS OLED TV is not even discoverable on the network and it is connected to WiFi. I know this tv is connected because in order to use AirPlay you have to be on the same WiFi. All my devices use the same WiFi connection. I can see all my devices except for the LG TV.

‘Life’s Good’ truck at the ‘Life’s Good’ event held in South Korea
To give employees a deeper understanding of what Life’s Good is all about, the company recently unleashed its on its business sites across South Korea. For its next phase, LG is extending these efforts to customers worldwide by kicking off the campaign’s world tour this month.
The first city to enjoy the charm of this campaign was Milan, Italy. To commemorate the start of the global campaign, LG CEO William Cho visited the vibrant, historic city in person to join local LG staff in affirming the message of Life’s Good through two major activities: a flashmob and the Life’s Good tram.
While in Italy, CEO Cho took part in the company’s flashmob at Piazza Gino Valle, where 100 employees held panels up in the air to form a 10×10 square that spelled out Life’s Good. This performance was put on to spread the power of collective efforts and trust in one another while championing the importance of adopting a joyous, can-do attitude to learn and grow together.
Once the 100-strong team is ready to part ways with these panels, instead of being thrown away, they will be used to decorate LG’s Milan offices for daily motivation. And to ensure the campaign’s message lives on, a tram decorated with Life’s Good photos and messages will operate in Central Milan for about a month.
The first Life’s Good campaign aims to help people savor every moment of life through LG’s products and services. And with many more campaigns to come in other parts of the globe, each one will highlight LG’s positive Life’s Good message in its own unique way.
So stay tuned to be the first to learn how this colorful campaign is striking a chord with people around the world.

In reference to the following post
I mean really, 9 years later and still no fix? Only way to actually update your library is to re add the folder your media is in. Any possibility of a fix ever?

I bought a new LG 43uq7590pub (43" 4K UHD) TV three months ago, with the intent of using it as a computer monitor.
Configuration is as follows:
Running it in Gaming Mode Computer is set for 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) Connected via HDMI cable to my computer (don't have the cable stats in front of me) Computer's video card is set to a 60Hz refresh rate When watching streaming videos from the local computer (YouTube, MAX, Netflix, etc), the TV will randomly go black and restart. There is no warning (audio/video slowdowns or distortions/glitches) before it does so. After restarting, it continues to run normally. Anything over 30-45min and it will likely restart.
I'm not using wifi/internet locally on the TV, so that is not (or shouldn't be) the issue.
I'm wondering if running the computer's video AND audio over the HDMI cable is too much for the TV, and that's causing the restarts after a while. I have a separate MIDI/audio interface that I usually run the computer's audio OUT of, to a pair of external speakers. This is a whole new computer setup, so I don't have that in place yet; just wondering if taking that workload OFF of the TV/HDMI might help.
Are there any event logs within the TV OS that might indicate what is happening?
Anyone else experience anything similar?

Question
Ian_AW
G'day,
Many apps will bring up an alphabetised layout of keys rather than the more conventional QWERTY keyboard.
Is there a way of overriding this so that a conventional QWERTY layout can be used?
Thanks.
