  1. G'day, Many apps will bring up an alphabetised layout of keys rather than the more conventional QWERTY keyboard. Is there a way of overriding this so that a conventional QWERTY layout can be used? Thanks.
  2. As far as I am aware, LG provides the platform, and it is up to the content provider to provide the app. So, it is a case of F1 TV being made aware of the market it is turning its back on and for them to make a suitable app available.
  3. Yes, this is what happens. You have to pick the Exit option. This lets you exit the app, then relaunch the app on the TV and it should let you back in and ask you to select the profile you want to use without having to login with user id and password. By the way, this is also likely to happen if you are running the Android app. Maybe Kayo is playing around with their system. It is annoying.
  4. Yes, I can confirm this, however I am not sure it is a WebOS issue. It started this first by asking me to sign in every time I launched it, instead of asking me to select a user profile. I had to exit the app completely and when I next launched it, I was asked to select a user profile. Then yesterday it started showing the splash screen and just sitting there indefinitely. It became a case of launching another app like iView, closing it and then Kayo seemed to be OK until the nest launch. I say not necessarily a WebOS issue because I also have an Android TV Box, and Kayo started doing the same thing using it.
  5. G'day everyone, I checked mt TV this afternoon to see if the 10 Play was finally available for LG WebOS. To my surprise, I saw it was. Just to make sure, I checked again and yes, the last of the FTA broadcasters have finally made it available for LG WebOS. I downloaded and installed it, and it works, so Thank You Network 10.
  6. If you are streaming live, then it can be caused by buffering. I have had this happen with streaming on Kayo Sports. What I do is press the left arrow which takes me back 15 seconds from the live feed, and then no more hiccups. Doing this also stopped the dropping of resolution periodically. Worth a try.
  7. But it is incredibly klutzy when you compare it with the apps from other FTA broadcasters, and even the PayTV services and other streaming services. These apps are specifically written for LG TVs with all the features used. For example, my TV came with a "magic remote", and all the other apps make use of it, but enabling HBBTV and using the Freeview alternative sees none of those features available. It frustrates people who are technology literate, so would be very frustrating for those who are not. In the end, you give up and find something else to watch. If their advertisers only realised this and actedm we might get a change, but after years of waiting, I'm not holding my breath.
  8. It is the service provider that has to program the app and then submit it to the LG Content Store so that it can be downloaded and used by LG WebOS customers. I have tried numerous times for Ten to do just this but they refuse. Basically, EVERY OTHER FTA broadcaster makes one available EXCEPT Ten.
