Since some months youtube has stopped working properly, it stops playing videos after some clips and became unresponsive showing blanked videos windows.

I have the latest tv firmware: 4.06.25

and latest youtube version app available for webos 2.0:  v.1.1.26 12/01/2022

I tried everything:

Resetting youtube

Changing language and country

Resetting tv

Resetting tv by unpluging power for some minutes

Uninstall and reinstall youtube

Connecting to internet wifi from phone hotspot instead of house wifi

I sent many feedbacks throught youtube app but still no fix until today..20221209_221724.thumb.jpg.9525424b7f0f486c56c58f52dfa4a44b.jpg

I was having the same problem with YouTube (mostly), in that it looked like it was dropping the internet connection.

I have both Ethernet and WiFi turned on, and swapped out each to see what makes a difference. Not much it seems!

After visiting the Network Settings yet again I turned on IPv6 in the Wired Connection (Ethernet) option. This seems to have fixed the problem for me (at the moment).

PS. I don't like my TV to just go into standby mode so I turn Quick Start off meaning my TV will hopefully really turn off and reset things a bit better each time I turn the TV on again.

try connecting through ethernet port I have seen the wi-fi board fail on this tv

that's not a wifi or ethernet problem!!!

it is something about the commercials from youtube that doesnt' start at beginning of the videos, stopping the app.  It happens mostly with new videos. I noticed youtube app was updated 2 times in december, with the first update the problem was fixed. The last updated the problem come back

I have noticed a problem with webOS, i have С4 OLED and G5 OLED - and all of them running videos on youtube at low 1080p or no higher that 1440p with 50/60p - and i don't understand why.. everywhere else is fine, but on webOS is 50/50 i tried every codec possible and everytime my videos stuck on 1080p or 1440p - it's a problem! please fix it!
PS everything is fine if i upload 4k25p or 4k30p
PSS it's a problem only on webOS - on PC or android everything is OK.

I recently bought a 50NANO90A6B TV and so far I have to say it's a fantastic upgrade from my old Sony 40".
However, I've one small niggle problem (only had the TV since Sunday)... The YouTube app doesn't seem to want to work! it shows the logo with a spinny circle, then the logo starts again with the spinny circle... this just repeats over and over.
All other apps (iPlayer, Jellyfin, Plex, ITV, CH4 etc...) work as does the LGTV app, so the WiFi connection is fine!
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the YouTube app a few times, but it does the same each time!
Anyone know how I can sort this? any other suggestions for fixing it!
I'm currently using my Chromecast with GoogleTV for YouTube at the moment.
I'm in the UK by the way! And the TV is set to that, in all the relevant settings locations.

      Hi,
I believe it started to happen after last update - version 03.53.45, maybe the one before. After I quit YouTube app, TV will not get signal from HDMI settopbox no matter I try. Only solution is to unplug and plug back HDMI cable which is really annoying. Is it known issue? Is there any fix? I tried few workarounds, like disabling smart features and so on, but no luck.
      TV model: OLED55B13LA
      Example:
Settopbox is powered on, TV is showing signal over HDMI, everything is fine. Then I open YouTube, after some time exit, switch back to HDMI input of settopbox and TV says no signal. I re-plug cable and then it works fine.

LG please fix YouTube app! It's doesn't want to play 4k videos! It does play videos in 4k on Android or windows, but in the WebOS YouTube no... I'm really pissed, that I need to cry about it.. why it is taking so long? I'm not the only one with this problem..
