SEOUL, Apr. 12, 2022 — A jury panel of 132 high profile design experts from over 20 countries awarded LG with 20 recognitions, among them the iF Gold Award for the LG OLED Objet Collection (model 65Art90). Among the awarded LG products, 16 were for Product Design while 3 were for User Interface (UI). This year, out of approximately 11,000 entries received, 73 applicants received iF Gold Awards.

The award comprehensively evaluates products based on its criteria, which include differentiation and impact, in 9 disciplines and categories – Product, Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design, Architecture, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI).

LG OLED Objet Collection, one of the Lifestyle TV lineup, secured the highest iF Gold Award for outstanding easel-like design that blends seamlessly into any room with its minimalist style and subtle use of neutral colors, bringing immediate sophistication and visual harmony to any indoor space. Users can lower the cover to reveal the full extent of the screen for the maximum viewing experience or partially cover the display to only see a curated selection of lifestyle functions.

In addition, LG OLED evo Gallery Edition (77G2), LG OLED evo (65C2) and LG XBOOM 360 were also recognized in the product design category for category-leading aesthetics, functionality and technological innovation.

In UX categories, both LG OLED Objet Collection and LG StanbyME (model 27Art10) were recognized for convenience and viewing comfort for delivering more usability. An intuitive touch screen allows StanbyME to be operated with ease. The user interface designed specifically for this product is unlike any TV UI and is tailored to the viewer’s personal viewing habit.

Since 1953, designers and manufacturers have endeavored to win the renowned iF label for design. Conferred by the iF International Forum Design GmbH based in Hanover, the iF Design Award is recognized as one of the top three design awards in the world, alongside the Red Dot Design Award and IDEA (International Design Excellence Award). Winning an iF Design Award is confirmation of quality for outstanding design and exceptional customer service and, for consumers and users, an iF Design Award is guarantee that the product displaying the mark is the best in its class.

“We are very honored to be recognized at the iF Design Award after being recognized at the Red Dot Design Award for design excellence,” said Lee Chul-bae, senior vice president and executive head of LG Electronics’ Life Innovation Design Center. “LG Electronics has always strived to offer the best user experiences and the highest aesthetic value, which is why it is very meaningful to have our efforts recognized by one of the top design award.”

When in an app, hitting home on the remote doesn't do anything. I was looking to see if there's a webOS update available, and now I see trying to open settings locks it all up. The only way to get out of an app right now or get it out of the state where trying settings locks it up is to power off and back on again.
      Things I've tried:
      1. Restart. I've tried various ways including unplugging and holding the power button on the TV for a while. I left it unplugged all night.
      2. Repair of the remote.
I don't know what else to try as I can't even get into settings to see if there's an update to fix this mess. Any thoughts?

      Hi!

I own a OLED65C8PUA 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV and it seems to be suddenly freezing when a commercial starts on a LG channel. I've unplugged the TV, hold down the start button, restarted to clean out the cache. I even restarted the whole system where it deletes most of the apps and all your picture and internet settings. Still getting this freeze during ADS between the LG channel presentations (be it the 80's, 90's, Love Boat channels, etc.) Anyone else have this problem? I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next.

LG CLOiD Redefines Home Living by Making Daily Chores Effortless, Giving
Customers More Time for What Matters Most

SEOUL, Dec. 25, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) will be showcasing its new home robot, LG CLOiD, for the first time at CES® 2026, held in Las Vegas from January 6-9. Representing LG’s continued progress in home robotics, LG CLOiD is designed to perform a wide range of indoor household tasks, enhancing everyday convenience and improving quality of life by making home management more efficient and intuitive.
Positioned as a home assistant, LG CLOiD embodies LG’s vision of the “Zero Labor Home, Makes Quality Time” – a future where technology meaningfully reduces the burden of daily chores, allowing customers to focus more on the people and moments that matter most. The robot marks a significant milestone toward the company’s long-term goal of freeing customers from the time-consuming demands of housework.
Featuring a suitable form factor optimized for today’s living environments, LG CLOiD is built to perform a wide variety of tasks within the home. Its two articulated arms are powered by motors delivering seven degrees of freedom each, providing versatile motion similar to natural movements. Five individually actuated fingers on each hand provide advanced dexterity, allowing CLOiD to perform delicate and precise tasks that require fine motor control.
At the core of LG CLOiD is a chipset integrated into the head, functioning as the robot’s “brain.” This is complemented by a display, speaker, camera and an array of sensors that enable expressive communication, natural voice interaction and intelligent navigation. Powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence technology, CLOiD is designed to sense its surroundings, interact in a natural and user-friendly way and refine its responses over time through repeated interactions – aiming to provide more personalized support for everyday tasks.
LG views robotics as a key future growth engine and is accelerating innovation in this strategically important sector. As part of this effort, the company has established HS Robotics Lab within its Home Appliance Solution Company to secure differentiated technologies and further strengthen its core robotics capabilities and product competitiveness. In parallel, LG is actively pursuing joint research initiatives and strategic partnerships with leading robotics companies in Korea and around the globe.
Visitors to CES 2026 can experience LG CLOiD and a variety of real-life “Zero Labor Home” scenarios at LG’s booth (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center).
