LAS VEGAS, Jan. 2, 2022 — At CES 2022, LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its vision for an enhanced lifestyle and a better future for all. Hosted by LG CEO William Cho, LG World Premiere will introduce the company’s diverse innovations for the new year and detailed its continuing efforts to create a more inclusive user experience and sustainable tomorrow. LG’s theme for CES 2022, The Better Life You Deserve, emphasizes LG’s ultimate goal to elevate all aspects of daily life though technological and design innovation. This vision is brought to life through three short films: A Better Life for You, A Better Life for All and A Better Life Tomorrow.

A Better Life for You: Creating Value for Every Lifestyle
LG’s concept of the upgradable appliance is the focus of the first short film, A Better Life for You. With enhanced abilities to learn and evolve to better meet the needs of users’ individual lifestyles, LG’s upgraded ThinQ platform empowers compatible products with even more features to deliver additional conveniences in 2022. A Better Life for You shows how advancements in LG’s entertainment solutions are delivering a more personalized, interactive experience to viewers enjoying content on larger screens at home.

Audiences will be introduced to LG StanbyME, a wireless private mobile wireless display that goes anywhere in the house to deliver the ultimate viewing experience of a traditional TV. Also making their worldwide debut, LG PuriCare™ AeroTower is an all-in-one home air care solution designed to deliver the benefits of an air purifier, fan and heater while the LG tiiun indoor gardening appliance offers a simple, clean and reliable way to grow healthy greens all year round.

A Better Life for All: More Sustainable, More Inclusive
LG’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and making its business more sustainable is the focus of A Better Life for All. Energy saving innovations built into InstaView® refrigerator and its “knock twice to see inside” transparent door, the increased use of recycled materials in packaging materials of LG Soundbar and the reduction of plastic components in LG OLED TVs all point to LG’s commitment to finding solutions that are better for people and the planet. Beyond 2022, LG expects to introduce more than 600,000 tons of recycled plastic into its manufacturing processes and increase the recovery of electronic waste to eight million tons by 2030.

Inclusiveness is also key to LG’s growth as a brand and toward this goal, LG is committed to investing in Accessibility Advisory Councils across different markets. Councils are comprised of accessibility experts and those living with disabilities and play a critical role in advising LG as it develops products with more inclusive user experience in mind, such as voice commands and Braille labeling.

To encourage innovation in the areas of sustainability and inclusivity in 2022, LG is establishing the LIFE’S GOOD AWARD focusing on Innovation for Earth and Innovation for All to solicit ideas to minimize the impact of human activities on the environment and make LG products more accessible and user-friendly. Up to USD 1 million will be awarded to winning participants, more details to be announced in the year ahead.

A Better Life Tomorrow: Blueprint for the Future
The third and final short feature focuses on the future and LG’s role in turning the stuff of science fiction into reality, with the company’s AI-powered CLOi door-to-door delivery robot being readied to roll into service. Audiences are also treated to a behind the scenes look as LG’s virtual artist

Designed to function as a home office, an entertainment center or even a lounge, LG OMNIPOD offers a look at how a busy individual might be able to get more done in a future where working remotely doesn’t mean having to work from home.

Located inside the main entrance of Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, LG’s on-site exhibit promises to offer both physical and online visitors an engaging and interactive experience through AR and VR technologies.

LG’s Home Entertainment showcase will be featured in LG Virtual Studio in three individual zones: LG OLED on Metaverse, Virtual Showroom and LG OLED Art. Milan Design Week, also known as Salone del Mobile, is the world’s preeminent furniture and design fair. Held in Italy’s famous fashion capital, it is a truly global showcase of innovation, creativity and luxurious style. Amidst this year’s celebration of inspiring and aspirational home living, LG presented its latest premium built-in products, including collaborations with renowned designers, at the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom on Milan’s Piazza Cavour.

Open since 2020, the showroom artfully exhibits the sleek offerings of the Signature Kitchen Suite while introducing visitors to the brand’s True to Food philosophy. This stylish space, where tradition meets innovation, spans three levels – ground floor, basement and mezzanine – each featuring stellar Signature Kitchen Suite built-ins designed and made to the most exacting standards. The advanced appliances on display are complemented by a nature-inspired décor designed by Calvi Brambilla, an esteemed multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan.

One of the showroom’s special zones cleverly evokes the natural beauty of Italy through the use of Milano Pink, a warm, soothing color inspired by the pink hues that adorn the Alps when viewed from Milan at sunset. Visitors can experience the unique value of Signature Kitchen Suite and LG home appliances firsthand by exploring the showroom’s Food Academy and simulated domestic spaces, which include a kitchen, living room, bedroom and laundry room.

Structured around the theme of the Art of Precision, the showroom compellingly conveys the Signature Kitchen Suite design philosophy through a hand-picked selection of artworks and engaging experiential programs. Visitors can discover different examples of the ‘art of precision’ via the exhibit’s Master Craftsmen encounters, where a flavorist, a watchmaker, a baker and a glazier each demonstrate the level of care and skill that LG’s premium built-in brand has come to represent.

A delightful display of delicate origami decorations, which greets guests as they enter the showroom’s reception area, serves as another symbolic tie to the craftsman-like quality of Signature Kitchen Suite appliances. The origami pieces are accompanied by dozens of bottles containing artisanal vanilla essence, each with its own unique aroma.

Coinciding with Milan Design Week, LG showcased a variety of stunning appliances brought to life through its collaborations with high-end furniture brands and design groups. This year, acclaimed furniture designer and architect Patricia Urquiola, known around the world for iconic designs such as the Dudet Chair and Sengu Table, partnered with LG to create a new masterpiece for Signature Kitchen Suite. Visitors to the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom have the privilege of seeing Urquiola and LG’s ultra-chic undercounter modular refrigerator in person.

A seamless fit for both kitchens and living rooms, Urquiola’s unerringly elegant creation aligns with the popular home and interior design trend of blurring the boundaries between living spaces. Resembling a sophisticated cabinet or set of drawers, the refrigerator offers custom size and color choices to suit the specific needs and preferences of each customer. Its upper compartment can be used for the efficient storage of bottled water, beer, wine (or other beverages) and even cosmetics, while its lower compartment functions as a convenient freezer.

Another aesthetically-unimpeachable appliance that debuted during Salone del Mobile was the Signature Kitchen Suite Wine Cabin. A collaboration between LG and m2atlier, a Milan-based architectural design group, this remarkable piece provides temperature-controlled wine storage in its lower compartment, storage space for wine glasses and bottles in its upper compartment, and a beautiful cigar box in between.

The Wine Cabin’s central rotating base supports a structure that can be customized with different finishes. Encased in micro-ribbed glass, the effortlessly luxe m2atlier design was conceived as a “precious container” for the Signature Kitchen Suite under-shelf wine cellar.

From creative collaborations with leading designers to carefully curated exhibits, the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom in Milan celebrates the essence of design, technology and luxury living.

The honey bee’s impact on the global ecosystem extends far beyond the confines of its hive. Through pollination, bees contribute to the growth of plants, the thriving of habitats and the sustenance of animals. Recognizing the vital role of bees, the United Nations has designated May 20 as World Bee Day. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (
link hidden, please login to view) supports this initiative, emphasizing that bees pollinate 71 out of the 100 crop species that provide 90 percent of the world’s food.  As a leading corporate citizen committed to combating climate change, LG is dedicated to creating a more sustainable planet through its ‘Better Life for All’ vision. In addition to adhering to local environmental protection policies, LG fulfills its social responsibilities as a global company by preserving local biodiversity and fostering sustainable ecosystems.

One of LG’s subsidiaries, LG Spain, has been undertaking the ‘Smart Green Bees’ project since last year to promote the cultivation and nurturing of plants. This initiative aims to address the declining population of Iberian honey bees (apis melifera), an endangered subspecies that has the potential to pollinate 100 percent of Spain’s flora.

To support the recovery of these ecosystems, Smart Green Bees has introduced new hives and implemented advanced monitoring systems to ensure the well-being of these important animals. Remarkably, the Spanish subsidiary has increased the number of Iberian bees by 3.5 million in just over a year.

LG Germany is also contributing to bee conservation efforts through a social initiative that involves distributing ‘insect hotels’ to employees and social media community. These miniature hotels, made from sustainable local forestry materials like solid wood and natural reeds, are created by individuals with disabilities.

Each bee-related environmental project outlined demonstrates how LG and its people are making genuine efforts to address important local environmental issues.

Stay tuned to to see how LG subsidiaries across the globe are promoting a greener planet for all.
