I have a couple of LG OLEDs in shared spaces, with external speakers, one via optical and the other via analog jack (confusingly named headphones). Whenever bluetooth headphones are used and then disconnected, the TV reverts to "internal" terrible audio. For non-technical people this is permanent. Do I have to train everyone to select the device from the long list or can I set a default?

Hi,

I have the exact same issue with my LG CX. Please LG release an update that allows the user to select which audio output to use by default when the bluetooth audio device is turned off!

Oh my god. How can this be so freaking difficult. Why can't the user set the default audio out, I am having the exact same issue, when I disconnect my BT headset it goes to internal audio.

I have OLED77B16LA with exactly the same issue.

I have an amplifier with hdmi arc which is in use on the daytime. Evenings I’m using bluetooth headphones and each time, like every day I need to adjust manually back to hdmi arc.

Same issue here with a 2022 LG TV and LG Soundbar. After terminating the bluetooth-connection the TV changes to internal speakers.

My live plus was already off. Still reverts back to internal audio after bluetooth disconnects :(

I just connected my surround sound through optical even though HDMI 2 arc is still connected too and all good.

Hello

I have a completely opposite problem. I change the default output settings to TV speakers. After turning TV off and on again, the audio switches to hdmi arc by default, because there is a connection with WIIM AMP there. What do I do to have TV speakers by default, and switch to hdmi arc manually?

Please help.

Since my lg-oled65c9pla auto-updated to WebOS 5.5, there is a new bug.
The TV is connected to my Cambridge Audio Evo 75 amplifier over ARC - on powering the TV, it has always started up the amp, and switched it to use audio, instead of the appalling TV speakers. The whole setup has worked flawlessly for 5 years, but since WebOS 5.5, the amplifier starts, but is left in a muted state, and using the un-mute or volume controls on the TV remote makes no difference to turning on audio. The only way to get audio to play though my amp a speakers is to turn the amp's volume dial or press a volume button on the a amp's remote - this then unmutes the TV and audio is back.
There is no setting I can find in the TV that relates to whether the ARC channel starts muted or not...
No software has changed in my amp.  This is an annoying new bug in the TV software, I assume down to some CEC changes.

      Hi LG team,

We are facing playback issues on LG 2024 and 2025 tv models when we try to play AAC audio content. The content starts playing but after a few seconds it pauses. We have tried with WebOS native player as well as Shaka Player and the behavior is same. We can play the aac audio content on tv models older than 2024.
      Tv model used:
      LG -2025
      Model no - 43UA83006LA/2025
      Type- ultra HD/4kTv
      LG webOS- (10.3.1)

I'm not getting any audio from the apps via the HDMI via ARC connection to my receiver.  This occurred two weeks ago and was unable to resolve it, but ironically there was new firmware released that same day for my B6 (3/31/17) and this fixed the issue.  However, now I again can't get it working after a TV reset and tinkering with the audio settings again.  I tried to load the firmware again, but it appears this is not possible to forceable load the same firmware.
