HBOMAX won’t mirror picture

Question

I set up airplay on our LG smart TV and it works just fine for most things. However, when I try to mirror something from HBO max from the iPad, I get sound on the LG TV but no picture. It’s the same for anything I try to mirror from HBO max, not just a particular show. This is the first time I’ve run across this. Most services mirror just fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

@Gshep1 This may be a copyright (DRM) thing within the HBO App, to stop users "pirating" by streaming to a copying device. I know you only want to "mirror", but maybe HBO have found clever users abusing that function, so have had to block it. If most Airplay or Airplay2 functions are working, then it sounds like you are NOT suffering from the "broadcast discovery" TCP packets issue, where some routers do NOT pass these between LAN connected devices and WiFi connected devices. If your TV is ALREADY on the same WiFi band as the iPAD (i.e. both on the 2.4GHz band, or boeth on the 5GHz band), then it is almost certainly the DRM blocking that is causing the issue. If the TV is on a LAN connected Internet cable, try disconnecting the cable, and enable the WiFi, try it on the same WiFi SSID as the iPAD.

Hi guys, I have an older received (Arcam AVR300) that only support optical input, so I was able to add it manually via Connected Devices, and can control the volume and mute, however I can't turn it off quickly (can only do it via the "..." button and selected sound bar and then power). This work, but is it possible to map this to lets say the top box on/off button or even some other button? Maybe even some cable I would but to make this work. The old remove is dead so I need a way out and the receiver is old and I don't want to keep it on always. Thanks

[Feature-Request] Set power on to last HDMI input

Not sure if this feature request would be part of LG webOS or would require changes to some lower level control software for my TV.
But... It seems that every time I switch it on, it seemingly randomly selects a HDMI input, I  mostly use the same HDMI input so I wanted to ask for a feature request in the next software update that makes the TV remember the last selected HDMI input so I don't have to keep manually selecting it.
In addition, maybe a second option in the TVs settings that can auto select the input based on there being an input signal or not, that might be useful for people that switch devices allot.
      Thanks

I love the Art Gallery feature so it would be AMAZING if you could configure one of the Art Gallery sets as the screen saver fo rthe TV.
